Tsuurugi looked up at the floating behemoth before him and watched as it reared back before throwing its mouth wide open and letting loose a stream of ice no doubt meant to freeze him. Be it to death or simply encase him in ice...that he could not tell since it was possible for either to happen. However, he would amuse her and himself just a bit in how he countered her attack. It had been a while since he'd done this, but his speed hadn't dimished over the years.
Drawing the current blade he held in his hand, Tsuurugi leveled to where the tip was pointing at Sora like he was aiming it at her. Which was partly true, but not in the sense that he was going to throw the blade at her. No, that would simply be a waste, despite the he could do so and effectively block her attack. No, it would be a waste of a good surprise move. What he was going to do was far more effective in both counter-measure and skill. Just as the cone of ice reached the tip of his sword, Tsuurugi then suddenly went into a flurry of motion to the point where it looked like his arm was a blur of lines before he threw his arm to the side in a cascading shower of sparkling ice shards while his single visible eye stared out straight ahead before he cocked his head up to look at her. He cocked his head in a way to ask without words if that was all she had. And the unimplied remark would have been that he was sorely disappointed and getting bored fast.
Flicking his sword and sending stray shards of ice flying off the edge of his sword, Tsuurugi then sheathed the sword since fighting a dragon with a sword at his level would have been tantamount to murder. Fighting bare-handed would at least give Sora a fighting chance. Although, some say he is better bare-handed. Adopting a basic tai-jitsu stance, Tsuurugi then gave the semi-derogatory gesture of "come get me". If Sora cared to take notice, she might sense a slow build-up of power starting to take place within Tsuurugi...a sign that something big was going to happen.

Sora blinked in shock at Tsuurugi's counte measure. Well. That was one of deflecting her ice, she supposed . . . Her eyes narrowed when he looked up at her, as though disappointed in her attack. She didn't let it bother her, though. What did bother her, however, was that he had now sheathed his sword. Was he trying to degrade her? Say that she wasn't good enough to battle him with an actual weapon? Once he stood still, as though waiting for her turn, Sora decided against an immediately aggressive move - she didn't know what he was expecting, but, she doubted he had gone up against an Ice Dragon such as her before. She closed her eyes slightly, before her body was encased in ice. After a moment or two, the ice was slammed outwards, but not in an offensive way - it now had covered the room in ice. The floor and ceiling both now had a nice, icy sheen, whilst stalagmites and stalctites were placed almost absent-mindedly around the room. Tsuurugi, himself, would most likely be lightly covered in ice - or water, depending how fast he would melt it.

While some sort of another ice-based attack was expected, he did not expect her to change the landscape with said attack. Not that it was out of his ability to handle...just not totally expected. However, he was going to make the build-up of power a bit more visible and somewhat flashier. Shifting back his stance to where one foot was behind him while the other forward, Tsuurugi then drew his arms to his sides and had each hand up from where his arms met his sides at the elbow with the hands like semi-closed claws. Then, what minute layers of ice remained on his body suddenly exploded from his body as the ground about him began to crack and splinter with shards very slowly rising into the air. And the ones that rose began to dance around him in a double helix sort of way as the cracks and splinters deepened and widened as the presence of power continued to rise. Then, in a sudden flare, the shards burst away from him with an explosive bang that tore through the pillars and such around him. Causing said pillars and such to explode halfway up the middle and topple over while other simply exploded. Tsuurugi then straightened up before letting his arms hang loose while a semi-palpable aura glowed with the barest visibility around his body like a halo of light. He then looked up at her and his one visible eye seemed to glow slightly as if to show the power he was wielding at the moment. And this was not even close to his full strength...not by a mile. Also, if anyone decided to take notice, they'd see Tsuurugi floating above the crater he created when he released the small build-up of power.
"Impressive, Sora. If your opponent was anyone else but myself...they'd be at a serious disadvantage right now. That is not saying I'm not affected by this because I am, but probably not as much as you were expecting. At this rate, the situation is both in your favor and not. The terrain along with its elemental affinity gives you the advantage in regards to your racial affinity. As for the disadvantage...it was assuming that I'm without my own response to such situations, even when not using a bladed weapon. Now, to continue..."
With that, Tsuurugi leaned forward before suddenly dashing forward and leaving behind a furrough in the ground to prove just how fast he was moving. When he was a few dozen meters away from Sora, Tsuurugi slammed the ground in an earthshaking impact before letting himself get launched into the air and right behind an over-blown, hanging icicle. Then, in a burst of speed, Tsuurugi flung himself in mid-air in a 180 degree arc. Effectively striking the breaking point of the massive piece of ice and having it break away from the root before finishing the arc with another 180 degrees and striking it to send it razor-sharp point first screaming at Sora. Tsuurugi then stood where he was in mid-air, waiting to see how she would respond.

Sora glowered at Tsuruugi. How dare he screw with her environment settings? She listened a bit impatiently to what he had to say, before she watched his movements idly. If it were human he were attacking, he would have been all but invisible to her. She watched closely as the large stalactite was aimed at her, before rolling her eyes slightly, she did a half-turn, before letting her tail whack into the icicle, effectively shattering it and letting it all fall to the ground. She glared at Tsuruugi again, before letting her eyes turn pure white. Soon enough, a blizzard had now started, her with the intention of knocking her opponent down from his airborne body. The blizzard's temperature was rapidly decreasing, but left Sora unaffected. She beat her wings at her opponent, sending more of the attack his way.

Tsuurugi kept a close watch on Sora, shaking his head when he saw her reaction after she'd blocked his half-hearted attack. Either she was very sentimental about her "landscaping" or she was just nuts. No one in their right mind would give a damn about the shape of the land in a fight when all one was supposed to do was concentrate upon defeating their opponent. Now was as good as any time to show her that unless she was going to take this seriously, he would do his very best to end her life. Seemingly going limp in mid-air, Tsuurugi then threw his body back as a whiplash of energy ripped through the air as he released a roar of rage which was in turned followed by a pillar of crimson-black energy forming below him and then engulfing him before striking the ceiling and conforming to it while it continued to rage. The blizzard that Sora was creating continued to run unabated around him but turned to steam and then evaporated completely when coming within a few meters of Tsuurugi. Then there was a sudden, blinding flash of light deep from within that twister of energy which in turn caused it to bulge out before erupting in waves that blew back Sora's blizzard to reveal Tsuurugi's new form. One of many that he possessed, this current one was one of the weakest ones...but still probably more than enough to handle Sora's true form. Looking down at his clawed hands, Tsuurugi flexed them a bit before returning his now shrouded gaze to Sora. A deeper, more resonating voice that sounded as if was from another world reached out to touch her. " Sora...so very foolish. Do you think that by merely altering the climate and change a few weather patterns that you'd be able to take me down? Come now, I told you I wanted your best...and this feels like it's lacking to me. If you wish to pursue this foolish course of action, I will not stop you. However, I will warn you that I will do my utmost to kill you...or as much so as the wards allow before your true death. Now, come..." With that said, Tsuurugi continued to hover where he was before he suddenly began to make motions with his hands. At first, they seemed uncordinated and to have no meaning, but soon...the evidence of what they were meant to create became clear. Tsuurugi began summoning one of this form's more powerful techniques, Flame Purge. He then unleahed it upon Sora.

Maverik entered, already feeling battle calling to him. Someone was fighting, not to far from where he stood. Someone powerful, deadly, someone he could almost remember in the back of his memory. For once, he could feel someone older than him still on this plane. "This should prove interesting." He wondered aloud, his duty to the girls and his love of a good fight conflicting.
"Maverik, you can play later, we need to start training." Brise scolded, walking over to the weapon rack. The blades were fairly plain, but could prove deadly if not for the wards she could sense. One caught her eye, it held a slightly more intricate design. But it held a dragon on the blade, something she would never use willingly. She respected dragons, and didn't believe in using their likeness for something so ugly. "Ana, if you don't mind my asking, how old are you?" Brise asked innocently, fingering the charms on her necklace. After she answered, Brise would reveal her true form, her true heritage. Hopefully, the elf would be able to accept her, as well as Maverik.

Ana nodded, chuckling at Brise's nickname for her guardian. It had been a long time since the elf had trained and she wasn't really sure what her strong or weak points were anymore.
As they entered the arena Ana's ears picked up the sounds of a match taking place not far from them. She laughed when Brise scolded Maverik, it was like they're roles had been reversed for the moment. Ahe was caught off guard by the girl's question, it had been so long since someone had asked about her age. "Two hundred and thirty eight as of a few weeks ago." Ana replied though it took a moment for the elf to remember her age.

"A mere babe," she whispered, her form changing ever so slightly. "I'm afraid I'm quite a bit older than I look, older than you." In a quick gust of wind, an angel with long black hair and wings the color of night stood in the teen's place. The tips of the single set brushed the floor, lying still against her back. Even her clothes had changed, from modern to elfish gown. "I am sorry if I deceived you earlier, but not many can stand what I am. I am born to angels on opposite sides, having habits from each. Brise's eyes were a smoky grey, a mix of dawn and dusk.
Maverik stayed very still, his eyes avoiding both of them. He wouldn't reveal his true form, but he might his weapon if there was a need. He wanted to stay the same in Ana's eyes. "Brise is about two and a half centuries younger than I am. I am only five hundred years younger than the earth itself." His voice was deep, dark in memory. Most were good, but the ones from after his first death were painful. If not for Brise, he would just wander around, still half dead. Brise had given him a reason to live, having found her when she was still so young.

'A babe?' Sure, Ana was still kind of young for an elf, but she wasn't that young. She was about to ask Brise what she meant when the girl began to change. Ana shut her eyes against the sudden wind but before she could raise her arms to shield them the gust abated. The elf opened her eyes to see that an angel now stood where Brise had. "Well, that's...surprising." Ana murmured, more to herself than the others. She had heard of and met a handful of beings that were half human and half angel, known to many as Nephilim, but this was definitely a first. The elf shook her head, there was no need for Brise to apologize. "I can understand why you would want to keep it a secret. I probably would too." Even if her appearance had changed Brise was still the same girl, there was simply more to her than the elf had originally thought.
She wondered if Maverik had another form too, from the way he was acting Ana guessed that if he did it wasn't one he was ready to show. "Really?" It was no wonder Maverik had seen so much of the world. Brise, she imagined, had seen a great deal of it as well. Her hands moved of their own accord, one on each side of Maverik's lips, poking his mouth up into a smile. "You should smile more."

Brise let her head fall slightly. "Aye, not many would proclaim to the heavens they were born from opposite sides of a never ending war. Maverik and I have fought many who could kill me because of my birth." Her voice was more old world now, harder to hide in her true form. At least Ana was accepting of her.
Maverik stared at Ana like she had grown another head. Even Brise had never done this, in all the years he'd known her. He really needed to get around people more if he was this surprised over something. "Um, right. But I look stupid when I smile." He admitted reluctantly. He was embarrassed to smile was the truth of it.
"Come on, Maverik. Ana already likes you. I doubt you can change her mind if I didn't." Her voice was older sounding, no more the quiet tone of a teen. She sounded like a woman now, but she was this the same inside. "Why don't you show her the weapon? I can even stand your--"
He glared at her, stopping her words before they escaped her mouth. He had never raised a hand to her in all the time they'd traveled together, yet right then he wanted to smack her.

Ana sighed, shaking her head. She couldn't understand people like that, those who would harm, even kill, another for something the person had no control over. "It's not like you had a choice in the matter though. We can't choose who our parents are, only who we will be."
Anastaisa stared up at him, pale blue eyes meeting his jet black ones. "Know what?" She spoke, smiling brightly. "I don't believe you."
Ana looked at the two curiously, her head tilting to one side. Weapon? She wondered what Brise was talking about but decided against asking, for now anyway. "Brise is right, you know. I do like you Maverik and I don't think you can change my mind."
