Jon looked up from his plate to see Mori headed to the door already, "Dear..." He stood to follow her knowing full sell that she was going to beat him to the door. Poor woman needed to eat, not answer doors. He placed his hands on her shoulders seeing the captain and his bandit friend. That was a surprise, it made him wonder what was going on. "Well this is a surprise. Come along dear you need to eat." He wasn't going to let her miss this meal it was important that she stayed nourished. How was she supposed to keep the children fed if she didn't stay fed herself. "I think we can do with some company while we eat." He smiled at the captain, "Are you hungry captain? I can get another plate or two made up if you like." He had a habit of making too much anyway, it would just be a matter of making the salad but he knew that Nemo didn't eat salad so that wasn't too much of a chore.
Nemo stood directly next to Neciel plotting some way of secluding himself and Jon. Perhaps there was a way of getting to Jon once the women were with the twins. Surely he could pull the man aside then. It would make sense at least. He hadn't wanted to interrupt their lunch though. He had a feeling Neciel had not wanted to either. He would leave the decision up to Neciel on that matter, it was the least that he could do.

Smiling faintly as the young mother answered the door, the captain slips in quietly. "Sorry to interrupt your meal." her expression seemed almost apologetic for a moment, and she stood awkwardly in the entryway, hands resting loosely on her hips. "Please do continue eating. We don't mind." she glanced at Nemo a moment, raising an eyebrow as if waiting for him to challenge it. The woman's attention turned to Jon, and she shook her head lightly. "I'm quite alright, actually." she responds, eying him carefully. She needed some way to get him alone and, more importantly, keep Nemo from getting him alone. She had time to think, at least, as the couple ate.
Neciel glanced at each of the others a moment, giving a faint sigh before waving them all back towards the kitchen. "Don't just stand around; pretend as if we were here the whole time." she insists, feeling slightly awkward now. If she had known that the couple had been in the middle of a meal, she wouldn't have been in such a hurry to move along.

Blinking in surprise at Jon’s rather firm hold on her shoulder, she agreeably let him lead her back into the kitchen to her plate. Under normal circumstances, she would call him a little pushy, but because she knew he only had her best interests at heart, she tolerated it. Picking at her food in the awkward silence that followed, she felt her nerves strain under the pressure. It just felt awkward for some reason, though admittedly the relations between Jon and the captain, and Mori and Nemo if she was honest with herself, weren’t always the best. “So what brings you by?” she finally asked, curious despite herself. She hoped it was just to see the babies…

Jon sat at the table and continued to eat as it was confirmed that he didn't have to prepare anything else.He took the first bite out of the meat. It wasn't as tender as normal due to it being cooked so thoroughly for Mori's sake. It wouldn't be that way for too long and when they were able too he had a nice bottle of wine that had been aging during most of the pregnancy. The silence was awkward as they ate, especially considering certain tensions in the air. It was nice that it was broken by his lovely wife. He had to admit he had been wondering the same thing. Hopefully nothing had gone wrong. Then again judgins by what he saw on the captain's wrist things had been going rather swimmingly for Nemo. He sipped some of the tea allowing the warm liquid to coat his dry throat.
Nemo leaned against the wall with a smirk, he knew just what to do. Just as Mori said something he answered, "Your dear captain wished to spend more time with your precious daughters. She didn't like having her time cut short with them last time." His hawk eyes locked onto Jon as his mind started to reach out to the archer. Jon we need to talk in private after the ladies go to see the children, it involves certain rites. Don't react just make a proper excuse when the time comes. He knew that even though Neciel could read aura's she could not read Nemo's thoughts or Jon's. He was fairly certain that she could guess his plan as easily as he could guess hers. Nemo had noticed how much easier it had become to communicate to Jon mentally since the wedding. It seemed he owed something to the half demon at the table, he would be certain to repay her soon.

Raising an eyebrow at Nemo, the captain's lips purse momentarily. She knew Nemo was plotting something; something she probably wouldn't appreciate. She crossed her arms over her chest, standing on the opposite side of the room as her companion. She turned her attention to Mori as the bandit finished speaking, a smile taking over her features. "Yes, that is it. Nemo there did not quite get the chance to meet them and, as he is practically their uncle, I figured it was high time they met." she smiled again, laying the first part of her plan down on the table. Putting this in the open, she hoped it would be harder for him to seclude his friend. Her devious plan for a later date, the one the couple would probably like least, would come later. She didn't plan to reveal it until she could safely slip away before they could refuse.

Mori quirked a brow at the request. She wasn’t entirely sure they were being honest with her or not, but then it wasn’t really her place to question it or try to get a read from them. Instead, she nodded and placed her silverware across her finished plate. “Well, I imagine they will be up for play and introductions,” she agreed passively, though her eyes narrowed at the thief in warning. The captain, for some reason, she trusted not to hurt her babies, and Jon it just went understood that he wouldn’t lay a hand on either of them. Nemo? Oh, she wasn’t so sure about that or not. She stood and took her dishes to put them with the other dishes that needed cleaned (a chore she would see to later, if Jon didn’t stop her), before gesturing for them to follow her. Who actually followed was of little concern to her. The new mother could sense one of the twins, whether it was Dae or Kalina she couldn’t tell yet, waking from their nap, and she wanted to be with them when they woke.

Nemo's eyes shifted to Neciel. She was such a clever woman sometimes. He had a feeling that Jon didn't understand the urgency of the situation. So there was a chance that he wouldn't get Jon alone tonight. That was a frustrating thought. Though if he was careful there was a chance he could warn the archer mentally, but there was the risk that Mori would pick up the thoughts thanks to that mind link of theirs. He had to try to think of another way and if one didn't present itself then he would have to send the information mentally. Neciel probably already knew that he was plotting something. But what was to remain a mystery hopefully.
Jon cocked an eyebrow as the captain announced their intentions. "Really now, I never pictured you as the type to swoon over babies Nemo..." He stood turning to follow his wife. "Well just goes to show that no matter what, you never know everything about a person." He followed his wife knowing full well that the guests would not be too far behind. He had other things to worry about like the twins picking up on the tension between their mother and the bandit though from what he had seen it was mostly Mori not liking Nemo. Though given how they were introduced to each other he could easily see why Mori might not like the womanizing bandit too much.

Taking note of Nemo's gaze shifting to look at her, the captain resists the strong urge to smirk at him. Instead she raises an eyebrow, as if daring him to object; surely that would just offend the couple, and she didn't think he'd dare. She cast a reassuring smile to Mori, pushing away from the wall gently. Following after the young mother quietly, the captain paused long enough to wait for the bandit to go first. "Come along then, my dear, we must not keep the dear girls waiting." her smile edged towards a smirk, a eyebrow lifting once again. She wasn't giving him an opening, knowing he wanted the same thing she did; to get a moment alone with Jon, without the other around. Casting a swift glance at Jon, the captain nods gently after his wife to encourage him to move along.

Pausing halfway up the stairs, Mori looked over her shoulder at the captain and the thief king in curiosity. There was definitely something up between them., not that she could figure them out what. Then again, it probably wasn’t any of her business. She hurried up the last few steps and into the nursery, smiling slightly as she heard the waking yawn of one of the twins. Her ears twitched, and she registered that the sound was coming from Dae’s crib. Her youngest was wiggling in her crib when she peered in, and she smiled in return. “Hello, petifi,” she greeted sweetly, reaching in and tickling the baby girl’s belly.
Dae giggled when her mama tickled her belly, wiggling in the crib more as she enjoyed the attention. She was well-rested, she wasn’t hungry or in need of anything else. As long as they didn’t scare her, she was in the perfect mood to play and meet others. Reaching, she managed to wrap on hand around her mama’s finger, not noticing how the adult was quick to keep her claws from cutting her by accident.
In her own crib, Kalina just began to stir with a sleepy whimper. Her fingers were soon in her mouth as she tried to go back to sleep. It wasn’t that she was still tired, it was just she didn’t want to get up yet. Awareness that her twin was in a good mood barely reached her, as did the presence of her mama, with others shortly behind her. She would wake up and be eager to meet new people in a minute. Right now, she just wanted to curl up.

Jon came in shortly after his wife hearing the sound of the child giggling. It seemed to be a good afternoon for the little one. He crossed to his wife and looked down at little Dae. Well it certainly was a good thing that she was in a good mood. Perhaps it was a matter of luck that the bandit had shown up today. There was a slight mystery as to why he wanted to get Jon alone though. Well he couldn't think of any reason how to now but maybe the bandit could wait for another day. It if it really were that big a deal then Nemo could have found a way himself. It was obvious that the archer was not trying real hard to leave with the bandit.
Nemo Smirked back at his lovely Neciel. They were playing a game now, or at least that was what it was starting to feel like. What really bothered the bandit was that it seemed he was starting to loose. That was more frustrating than anything. Getting closer he placed his hand on the small of Neciel's back and muttered, "You haven't gotten to him yet dear," just loud enough for her to hear. Walking with her then toward the room that seemed to now be the nursery.

"Maybe so, but I have no problem torturing it out of him." she responds, a small smile on her face. Walking along behind the young couple, she hangs back to the side of the doorway. It was best to let the parents handle the newly awakened children; she was sure they'd be handed off as soon as they were deemed ready. From the waves of color around the little girls, they certainly seemed in a playful mood. Her attention shifted to Kalina, noting how she curled in an attempt to fight off the waking world. It was quite cute, really, and the captain's previous smirk settled into a more gentle smile.

Raising her head slightly, Mori smiled at Jon, kissing his cheek. “I’ll go wake up the sleepy one,” she said, trusting him with Dae for a little while. She was in a good mood, and she liked the captain already. And unlike her, Jon trusted Nemo almost unconditionally. If anyone was going to introduce the pair to each other, it was a better plan to trust it to Jon rather than her. Once sure that Dae was in his care, she walked to the other side of the crib, where Kalina was still curled up. Smiling gently, she reached down and gently rubbed the baby’s back. “Time to get up, sweetheart,” she said softly, not wanting the baby’s waking to be jarring. Poor little thing apparently took after her own sleep habits, and Mori could testify that getting too much sleep was almost as bad as getting too little. She picked her up when Kalina indicated she wanted held, letting her wake-up gently.
Dae’s breathing was a little fast from her laughter, so she was glad when her mama stopped tickling her. The sight of her papa kept her happy, since he was the one who always made her feel safe, no matter what. She reached for him when her mama withdrew, wanting him to hold her, if not play with her a little. She was just distracted enough to not pay attention to the strangers in the room.
Kalina stirred at the warm hand on her back. She wiggled and whimpered slightly louder, but it was enough to wake her up. With a little help, she was rolled over on her back, and she blinked blearly at her mama. She reached up, obviously wanting to be held as the rest of her tried to wake up from her nap. Once safely in her mother’s arms, she yawned and blinked again, slowly waking up and interested in the new people she saw as her mother turned around to lean against the sides of her crib.

Jon smiled at his wife's gentle kiss. Even after this long the smiles that she gave him could not be helped. Turning his attention to the little one in the crib he lifted her into his arms. "Well aren't we happy this afternoon. Did you have a good nap?" He laughed bringing his face close to hers and making a funny face before restoring to his normal happy self and starting towards the two. "Captain? Nemo? This is Dae. I believe you already met her captain." He remembered the baby taking well to the captain, seeming to find her somewhat fascinating, so he was certain that as long as the captain was around the little one would be okay. That was at least what he hoped. There was no telling with Nemo. There was never any telling with that man.
Nemo watched as his life long companion seemed to have changed so instantly in the presence. It was strange to see how quickly such a change happened, it was almost over night. Would Nemo become that way if he had a child? It was a thought that he didn't want to entertain too much, more irritating than anything else. Once Jon came closer Nemo looked at the small bundle in the archers arms. She was so small. The Bandit knew that babies were small but had never realized just how small. She was cute though. Actually she was pretty adorable.

Letting the couple go about waking their own children, the captain hung back beside the bandit to wait. She seemed pleased that both children were waking rather easily, her hands resting in the pockets of her jacket. She noted the newly awakened one looking at them in interest while her twin seemed content to ignore them instead. "We were briefly acquainted." the captain replied casually, a small smile appearing as the baby was brought closer. She spared a swift glance at Nemo, having felt a short wave of irritation from him a moment before. He seemed fine now, though she wondered what had caused such a short flash. She raised an eyebrow, but as his eyes were on the baby, the gesture went unnoticed. The captain turned back to look at the baby in Jon's arms, more amused at his change in demeanor than anything.

Mori watched her husband with a small smile on her face, adjust Kalina as the baby yawned and stretched. “And this sleepy one is Kalina,” she added as he introduced their youngest. Leaning her head down, she rubbed her nose gently against the soft, blonde curls of the child in her arms. They were a blessing to her, and always would be, right up there with Jon’s love of her. For the wandering little waif she had been, this seemed like entirely like a dream come true. Her ears twitched at Kalina’s sleep giggle, and she realized a strand of her hair had come loose to dangle, tickling the baby’s cheek. She reached up and tucked the strand back before the baby could get a grip. “One who has apparently inherited my reluctance to get up immediately after sleep,” she said with a grin as Kalina blinked at her, obviously finally waking up. Mori walked towards where the captain and bandit were standing, so they could take their pick of the babies. It wasn’t so she could keep an eye on Nemo, oh no…
Smiling as best as any baby could at Jon, though perhaps not because she understood that his face was silly but merely reacting to his own smile, Dae was indeed in a better mood than she had been. While her sister would perhaps always have her beat on exuberance, with Jon for a parent it was unlikely that either twin was capable of having a dour personality. Even Mori was cheerful if given a chance, so when it came to blood, the twins were in good standing from the start. For her part, Dae did—sort of—recognize one of the people her papa had brought her in front of. She regarded the captain with detached curiosity, her memory not enough to remember why this person was familiar, just that she was.
