Actually I can see them not becoming friends, but not hating each other as well. I think their ideals clash greatly. While both of them really don't want to kill, Shirou wants to become a 'superhero' or something; and he also doesn't want to kill anyone at all, good or otherwise. Shiki has killed Vampires and such like Nero and didn't feel too badly for it. I think they both know that if it's a fight between 'good' and 'evil' than more than likely someone's going to get killed, but Shirou's trying to change that while Shiki's more or less accepting of it(for the most part, there are exceptions). So in the end Shiki would still triumph over Shirou. If he can't kill Shirou, he can slice him up enough to take him out of a fight for good.
I was hoping for a snow day today...Stupid American snow storms. They never are snow storms when they get here... crying

well, Nero is a Vampire, and Shiki saw him massacre the all people in the hotel. I don't think Shirou won't do the same. He felt relieved when hearing that it's the Masters -the human- that are needed to be killed, but just the servant.. except those who's close to him like Saber.
but maybe.. they will fight till the death if it's HF Shirou in one of bad ending, and that's where he may be able to win against Shiki. Shirou who realize it's impossible to save everyone and decided to kill Sakura. Where Kirei said that Shirou will win the war for sure and there's no need to watch it till the end because he'll even kill Rin someday without hesitation. One that will do 'anything' to 'save' the world. <- My favorite bad ending xd
Anyway, which is the strongest Shirou in your opinion? Fate (nothing special. Avalon maybe, but only with Saber) UBW (obviously, UBW, the coolest skill with vary skill) HF <- I think this is the strongest (Having all experience thanks to 'his' arm. Even Dark Saber and Dark Berserker lose against him alone.)

I never read Heaven's Feel. The Fate route and Unlimited Bladeworks route version of Shirou were pathetic imo. Shiki could easily defeat him in a fight(not kill, defeat).
What I laugh at is how they portray Shiki and Shirou in their respected anime(even if Tsukihime had no such anime). Shiki in the visual novel was more mature, smarter, philosophical. In the 'anime' he's an emo 20+ year old(they all looked way too old for their actual ages, except Ciel and Arcueid for obvious reasons). The Fate anime made Shirou look like a mature, intelligent young man. In the visual novel he has the intelligence of a rock.

Well, I log on to gaia randomly, only whenever I can. sometimes it took me a few days to post in this thread. That's why I'm not participating in the RP at the moment. And my old char has a master already, although I doubt she want to play it again. But if you're alright with it, then I guess I can make a new one.
I agree with what people say about fate VN which represent 3 stages of shirou, and IMO, his intelligence as well. Maybe the anime just combining them all to make him better.
Fate's boy who keep dreaming about his ideals till the end. I think he'll lose against shiki for sure.
UBW's teenager who's started to realize reality, yet keep holding his ideal the best he can. I think he won't win against shiki. Chances are draw or lose, but he won't win Shikiller as his UBW isn't at GARcher's level yet.
HF's man who's realized reality and the impossible in it, the throwing away the ideal he'd believed for years. (or in a bad ending, become an extremist of his ideals like his father like I said before) I think he has a chance to win against the owner of MEoDP somehow.
As for tsuki anime, he's just a random man who's lucky enough to be chosen to play shiki's role. I don't see any resemblance between the two at all aside from their role in the story..-_-

There's something about Shirou that I don't like to be honest. I don't think it has anything to do with his immature ideals(and the fact that he still holds to them). When I was watching the Fate anime I really didn't like him because they decided to up his intelligence by 100%. But then I don't like the anime Shiki either, because they both dumbed him down and made him a sniffling emo. If they made Shiki like they should have...Who knows, there might have been a Tsukihime anime...
When I was playing the Fate VN the very first impression I got of Shirou was 'Wow, what a dumb f**k'. And for the most part I'm right. Of course I'm not including the arc I have not played yet, and I really wanna play it too...But I still think in the end Shirou is going to end up the same dumb f**k as he was in the beginning. I don't like Shirou like I don't like Akiha ^_^; only probably for different reasons(also don't like Azaka from Rakkyou).
Also, him sticking to his ideals is a bad ending? o_O
Now, Archer on the other hand... twisted ---->Yes I know Shirou and Archer are the same person. Archer is still smexier.<----

No one wants to be partners is anyone due to that fact that no one has asked anyone to be with them. xP If you are in need of one, and want one, then just ask.~
In Heaven's Feel, the final route, the point of the story wasn't for Shirou to stick to the image of his father like a child, but grow up to be his own man. That being someone that no matter what wanted to protect the one he loved (Sakura). If he decided to stick to his ideals, then that would have lead him to killing Sakura, or giving room for Rin to do such. Which is why it is a bad ending.
Personally, my favorite route would have to be Unlimited Blade Works, but my favorite "Shirou" would have to be the one in Heaven's Feel. I hated him so much until that route, which just made him grow a spot in my heart (though it's still a small one xD)

A spot?! You should have that removed; it could be cancerous! xd
Shirou doesn't strike me as a good character for the first two arcs, but from what you guys say he's completely different in Heaven's Feel. I would have to see it to believe it. I'm sure you understand. My brother was going to help me get it on my computer. He read the first arc and part of the second. Then he Wikied Sakura's story and told me to avoid HF like it's diseased ^_^; On another note: Sakura. I don't like her either. So a pairing between two characters I don't like anyway? Two wrongs make a right here or just a U-turn?
And UBW is my favorite route too.

What are there reasons for not wanting one? It might be due to the fact you are playing both a master and servant already. . ? The only reason I'm playing both of mine is to "keep the story going" but others shouldn't have a reason.
In the first route, he's just a puppet to run with, no one likes him in the Fate route at all. Some like him in UBW though, due to his growth in character, and ties with Rin (other then the relationship kind). People like him in Heaven's Feel mostly due to him not being a total pansy in a fight, and the fact that he abandons the whole hero ideal. Never once after will you hear that boring speech again.~ That's probably due to the fact that HF, well, it's a very mature route and by far the darkest one by a long shot. It could be considered another game really ^ ^;; A lot of the content in it is extremely mature (I don't know you age etc.) when it comes to learning about Sakura's past, as well as the role she plays then. Whether that be her relations with Shirou, or the fate she starts to play at night with the grail war.
Heh. My favorite pairing for Shirou, is actually Sakura xD I mean, she's the only character that no matter what sticks by him till the end, making him mature. He in turn was what turned her life from a living nightmare into heaven; so it's sweet.~ Also. . . I just can't part Saber and Rin away from each other which is probably part of the problem > w<;;

Oh. You can play both if you want! ^ ^;; Though the guild was based more on a partnership in both characters and the ones playing them. Normally one only plays a master, or a servant.

Like I said, I would have to see Shirou in HF to judge, but there's something about him that I don't like. You know how it is irl when you see someone who instantly rubs you the wrong way. It's kind of like that. And I don't like Sakura as well(I think in a lot of character polls she is paired with Ciel; in other words no one likes the 'glasses on or off' xd I know that's just Ciel but I still loled when I read that in the VN). So in a way(imo) like characters should pair together(so we can focus on Archer >_< Everyone knows he's the only smex in F/SN)
