Suma closes her eyes and nods. "Yes, I'm not a wraith if that's what you're asking. My kind fought the Wraiths, as a matter of fact." She pauses to take a deep breath. "I was the one that suggested the treaty with the Wraiths, I knew that we wouldn't be able to hold them off for much longer, instead myself and a small group of others chose to sacrifice ourselves. We agreed to feed the wraiths lifetime after lifetime in order for them not to pray off of the rest of humanity. I've been reborn thousands of times now." There was pain in her voice, ancient, dark and deep.

"That is quite the responsibility..." Gabriel's eyes scanned the trees outside his window as they approached the drawbridge into the city. The area the hospital was built looked like a giant forest from a distance but it was also a large island. An extra precaution, hopefully none of the inmates could swim if they made it this far. Turning his eyes back to Suma or whoever was speaking to him, he asked quietly. "Didn't you and your people have allies...?" Of course, Gabriel was referencing to the other ancient races, most which did not exist to this day. The reason his own line of psychokinetic ancestors survived in small numbers at the present was because they didn't involve themselves with other races. Observers, People of the Mind, even the latin phrase meaning 'watcher', Vigilo...that's what history books nicknamed those with psychokinesis because of their reputation to just stay on the sidelines. He would assume his people would have more sense and confront these Wraiths if they threatened life itself.

"We had allies yes, but the task was given to us to stop them. It had been decided at a council, elders discussed the issue for years. Finally we were chosen to take on the challenge of taking down the Wraiths. The others were kept as back up, in case we failed." There was something else, something she was afriad to bring up, but new she had to. "In case they invaded again. We were to be the first wave, the others were to be kept safe in case we were unable to do out jobs, or they were some how able to regain numbers." Something Suma feared was going to happen again soon. She could feel it in Sen, the calling from the other Wraiths, and she did her best to make sure that they didn't find him, he had been their leader all those years ago. She knew that they would want him back. "Sen is special to them, he had been their leader, it's my... magic, I guess you could say, that is keeping him in his human form, and keeping him under the radar. Yout facility is making my job easier, I don't know why, there must someone who has very powerful psychokinetic abilities at the facility. It's the only explaination." Suma shifts her eyes to him, as if she knows what he is.

"I don't understand what psychokinesis would have to do with supressing an ancient race." He went quiet for a moment as he thought about what Suma's original race could be. "I'm sorry to hear of the task you are attached to, though glad my facility could be of use. However, there is no one registered with psychokinetic abilities in this region." Gabriel exchanged the eye contact. One couldn't tell he was lying...or if he was telling the truth. The man was a blank slate but working with the patients he dealt with, it was necessary. Looking back to the road once they entered the city, they were close to the restaurant. "If there were, I would know. They would more than likely be my patient."

"When my power comes in contact with that of someone who has psycokinetic abilites it aplifies my abilies. It has been this way since our races were first established." Suma simply shook her head and went back to looking out the window.

"As I said...there is no one registered." Gabriel, though he'd rather keep certain information to himself, realized if he wasn't able to hide what he was from Suma, he would need her to understand what knowing this put at at stake. "You do realize the predicament...correct?" He stopped at an intersection and looked at her. Suma had quite the battle with the Wraiths on her hands but Gabriel's was far more personal. He would lose everything...the facility, notoriety, and freedom. He wouldn't get another chance in another life like his companion.

"Do you honestly think that I would tell people what you are? I've been hiding what I am for centuries now, what Sen really is. If it were to get out that I have Sen, or what he is." Suma stops and looks at him. "He'd be taken away from me, and then were would I be?"

"Useless." Gabriel was certainly a bundle of joy...no attempt to even console Suma's dire prediction. He stopped outside the entrance of a tall building, infamous for its restaurant that overlooked the city from the top floor. Sighing quietly, he turned off the vehicle and got out. He walked around to Suma's side and opened the door for her. Before offering her his hand to help her out of the the low car, Gabriel leaned his arms on the door and kept his voice low as he bent down lower to speak. "Suma, I don't think you're worried about what would happen to you. That's very admirable and I respect you for it. On another note, you'll have to explain why psychokinesis is so valuable to you before I consent. I doubt the Vigilo did anything useful in your time...I wouldn't know. I wasn't there..." Straightening up a bit, Gabriel held down his hand and couldn't help but wonder who he was having dinner with that evening, Suma or this ancient soul.

Suma took hold of his hand and walked next to him. "Your kind did a lot for us, despite what you think. Ancient knowledge has been lost." Her eyes had shifted back to their normal color as she looked at him again. "You amplify my power over Sen, yes he drains a bit of my spirit everytime he takes hold of me, but with you there it wasn't as bad, I was able to hold onto myself better." She shrugs her shoulders. "I'm not worried about what will happen to me, I've died many times that death is not a worry, I'm worried about what would happen to Sen after I die. If you were to move him to somewhere else, the other Wraiths would find him."

"I still don't fully understand why this particular mental defect is an aid." Now that they were out in the open, Gabriel referred to psychokinesis as a 'mental defect' since there was no way to know who was around at the busy restaurant. "We'll have to further investigate before I give my lineage a clean slate. As for Sen, it seems we need to find a way to end death itself. Until tomorrow though...shall we?" Moving her hand into the crook of his arm as they started walking, Gabriel was incredibly refined in his mannerisms. Not too shabby for an orphan raised in a group home on the outskirts of the city. Walking into an elevator, they met the host on the top floor of the building and were seated by the window. Judging by how the host greeted them and seated them, it was clear Gabriel was a regular. Whether he came alone or with a partner was beyond clarity.

Suma smiles at him with a raised eyebrow. "I take it I'm not the first lady to be wooed up here." It was clear by the tone of her voice that she was simply playing.

"The only thing that ever gets wooed up here is bottle of their finest chardoney..." Gabriel's humor was not one of his best qualities but it seemed he was making an effort. Lacing his fingers together and resting his hands on his stomach, he leaned back in his chair and looked out the large panoramic windows that acted like the walls from the ceiling to the floor. "I prefer to come here alone...it's a nice view. But I must say, it's an experience. Having someone to talk to..."

Suma tilts her head as she watches him, she leaned back in her chair crossing her arms across her chest. "I would imagine that you don't talk to a lot of people, though I can understand why." She turns her head to look out the window and sighs. "It's beautiful."

"Personality flaw, I suppose." Gabriel thought a moment on Suma's statement about his social life and his mind began to wrap about what analysis she might have made about him. Leaning back in his chair with his right hand raised up to his chin, Gabriel's gaze dropped to the table. He knew he wasn't much of a talker so he had to ask himself why he invited Suma out to dinner. He figured subconciously he picked up that she wasn't exactly what her credentials stated...she was more. "Dr. Suma..." When he started speaking, he too looked out the window to the awesome heights. "...if I may inquire, why did you choose this facility to further your studies on Sen?"

"I was hoping to be able to talk to you and gain your help." Suma turns her head to look at him, her gaze almost burning. "Something hasn't seemed right in a while, it's been too quiet and I've been worried. I was hoping for the extra help in order to make sure that a major attack wasn't going to happen. They want Sen back Gabriel, I just don't know how they are going to try."
