"Please keep him here... I need him and he needs to rest." Contay asked of Dameon before disappearing into the wood again. "Back to the mountains..." She sighed softly as she walked quickly beside Justice. "I am sorry to drag you along with me."

Trent continued his search fruitlessly. Whatever it was that had breached their perimeter was well versed in the art of concealment, or not living. Either way, it was there, and Trent meant to find it.

"Here kitty kitty..."

Dameon took Sairi and walked over closer to Sirence. He gave a moments thought to sitting on a nearby rock but realized that he wasn't quite calm enough to do so. As far as his energy could tell him Trent was much closer to the danger than they, but that didn't really help Dameon's defensiveness all that much. He kept his eyes on Trent and his senses everywhere else.

Tiki surfaced from the depths of the oasis, moaning gruffly and irately. The sharp, piercing sound of the defenses being sprung was clearly more than annoying to him, possibly painful.

He loped up to Trent, switching confusedly between two and four limbs as though neither were totally comfortable. Maybe he could help sniff out the intruding force.

Justice shrugged. "It's fine, it was probably best that conversation with Dameon didn't continue." She said, remembering what she had been saying before Contay had joined the conversation.

An attractive young woman, or she would be if it were not for the straps, chains and bars across her body and face, stood on a tree branch several feet in front of Trent. Her mat-black hair is pulled back harshly beneath a large creature's skull, which she wears on her head. A face piece is strapped to her head, covering her mouth so she may not speak. She is decked in a black assassin's tunic and some leather to strap it on, a white veil wrapped around her arms, hanging off slightly, bright white boots and her arms are bound by chains. She appeared to be unimpressed with the one who stood before her as she unhinged the large "dark star" from her back. She threw a stick at him mockingly, before she noticed Tiki not too far away. Carrilel, a mischievous, commander of Calibar's forces, growled softly; she had come to spy on Contay and catch her breaking her promise to Glenmark but she had not been careful enough.

"Kitty indeed..."

Trent was surprised by the 's appearance. She had to be quite talented in concealing herself, because when Trent finally realized that she was there, she was mere feet from him. He looked her up and down, studying her, trying to discern what kind of fighter she might be, but only one thing came to mind...

"Into torture?" he smiled mockingly at her

With a snap of his finger, the stick that she had thrown at him burst into flames, turning to dust before it was even halfway to Trent. He smiled slyly at her... until he saw the Dark Star.

"Aw... no hand to hand combat? Fine then."

Trent raised his hands above his head, and a swirl of red energy formed, collapsing in towards his hands. When it had all gathered there was a puff of smoke, and Trent's "Kobukah" (Bo staff) lay resting in his hands.

Tiki, crouched behind Trent, at his flank, prepared a rock.

For a moment there was a decision being made in the commander's mind; would she flee or demolish? Carrilel made a face that looked mildly like a snarl and she tilted the skull down over her face. Suddenly a glint of light fell from her shoulders and her power became noticeable, she was one of few taught how to truely mask her energy but the shield was not necessary now that she had been found. Carrilel crouched on the tree branch, wrapping tendrils of earthy energy down from her feet and around the branch, stablizing her there. Her eyes were shadowed within the creature's skull but locked on the young Trent, waiting for his or his companion's move.

From above his head, Trent thrust his staff downward into the bracnh he was standing on, and when it hit, he immediately changed the force of his energy to pull him self up. Jumping at the same time, he shot high up into the trees with a whooshing noise.

"Whoosh!"

Tiki, on the ground, rooted himself to the earth, then bull-rushed the tree's trunk with his shoulder. The whole tree shuddered, and several limbs cracked and fell.

Tiki skidded back on his feet, barely managing to keep his balance from the backlash.

Carrilel used the energy rooting her to the branch to do a loop around the branch and come right back up to where she had been. She took that moment to jump slightly upward before chucking her star further up, toward Trent (should barely miss him on the way up) before landing lightly on the ground and running at Tiki with a sweep-kick toward his shoulders.

Tiki reacted by swinging the heavy shoulder bag at the assassin in a wide arc, but he was still recovering his footing and the counter came too slowly. Still, he was well rooted, and there was a split second as the kick made contact where it seemed like he wasn't going to budge-- that the kick would bounce off or his collarbone would snap or both-- but instead he crumpled, absorbing most of the impact by moving with it. He fell sideways, sliding, and scrambled back to his feet.

Trent performs a full spin in the air and prepares his staff to come crashing down on anything below him. Halfway through the spin though, the dark star zips past his head, barely missing his right ear. He was thrown off balance slightly, but more or less it didn't phase him. He came crashing down through the tree's branches, breaking them as he fell. He was aiming for where Carilel had been, but as far as he knew, that's where she still was.

Carrilel used the foot she had kicked at Tiki's shoulder to put up a block for the swinging bag of rocks. She stomped on the bag, forcing it to the ground as it rolled away with its owner. Carrilel barely had time to let out a soft hissing noise, before it the sound of a tree rapidly breaking forced her attention from Tiki. Carrilel was far enough away for the main attack to miss entirely however broken branches and splinters were flying everywhere and she had to turn her face downward so nothing would enter through the eye holes of the skull.
