Nimda walked close behind Lyrren, still seeing the continuous arc of water on his back. "Balance. Seems pretty significant in this society."

"Balance should be important in every society. Especially those with ties to nature. But practicality is also important. Human societies tend to see us as to controlling and systematic, but we view most human and elf societies as chaotic.We attempt to live and let live on the basis, that what they do is not our business. They don't seem to live by the same rule."  

[Mezalyth]

Live and let live...and yet they seem so judging of a half-breed...

"So about this celebration that's going on...what is everyone celebrating?"

"The celebration is supposed to celebrate the courting of the gods, which lead to the creation and population of the world. Because of that, it is believed to be the key point in the year to find a mate."  

[Mezalyth]

"Hmph...mating season. Absolutely spectacular," Nimda said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "And are we to expect copious amounts of alcohol during this celebration?"

He shrugged his shoulders
"Drow are not known for any copious amount of drinking. We indulge in alcohol culturally, because we enjoy it, not to get drunk. It would be foolish to get sloshed during these holidays, a woman is going to avoid the idiots who are to drunk to hold onto the ground."  

[Mezalyth]

"Oooh, I'm starting to like this social structure!"

A grin twitched at the corner of his lips
"Glad you are one of the few"  

[Mezalyth]

"Few indeed...maybe your females can teach the females of the outer lands a thing or two."

He shook his head
"Men from the other lands treat women subserviently."
He spat
"It's disgusting."  

[Mezalyth]

Nimda's head lowered, his eyes still looking ahead from under his brow. "Yeah," he said, his voice in a low baritone, "I'm well aware. You know what else? Women practically crawl to them."

He took a deep breath, calming himself down so he wouldn't spark his power. The Lyrren in the future knew of his abilities. If the past one did as well, he'd make the connection, which he and Oliver couldn't let happen.

He nodded and shook his head
"The Drow have attempted to help, but they are pushed away and called warmongers, since then, we've kept to ourselves."  

[Mezalyth]

"Warmongers. That sounds like a fun club to be a part of."  

[xXYaoi is LoveXx]

He grinned sheepishly
"Yeah some past empresses were very quick to go to war."  

[Mezalyth]

"When did the rule change from past to current Empresses?"
