OH GOD IT'S HORRIBLE
But if someone could control light, they could do some neat s**t.
"hay look, gamma radiation"
That and being able to manipulate infrared would basically make you a fire mage. More with the heat than fire.

I actually thought of using Gamma Rays since I had light as an element, but figured that'd be too cheap, so I scrapped it.
Also, according to Google, some physics gives photons a weight. I dunno if that counts for anything, but meh.

It's an energy blade. No where does it say its made of compressed photons.

Sure, in some nazi-like sect of partical physics where you're comparing to photons to equally small energy bits. But on the microscopic plane, you're trying to move planets with sand. Just don't work.
Though I'm making a light mage now, just because.
He'll fire microwaves from his eyes.

Any where you look you'll find that the lightsaber is more then just light. Otherwise it would be useless. One theory is that it's a containment field with plasma held within.

I wouldn't know. I have no idea where I got that thought from. I never really did any research on Gundam stuff. Maybe I heard somewhere that plasma could be held in place by a magnetic field of some sort.

His tournament makes me giggle.
You think by making a piece of equipment Achillean it'd be granted badass-like status until something utterly destroys it at some tragically ironic moment. Instead of, y'know, indestructable.
You'd think there'd be some Greek mythological figure that was badass enough to be nigh indestructable. Call him Herculese or something.

Ryugi Kazamaru Man... Imagine Star Wars in a realistic universe. All the lightsaber battles would be over pretty quickly. rofl EDIT: And almost all end in ties or alot of fancy dancing and twisting to avoid getting hit. xd Everyone would lose an arm, or both arms. That is the Jedi way.
