Kazuhiko smiled a bit.
While Fir was telling the truth, he agreed with Bright Eyes.
"I told you you were trapped." he patted his cheek. "Told you."
But what else could he say??
His eyes were leveled on the Korred with almost unnerving weight, piercing but friendly, warm, and calm.
They said enough.
You can trust me. I'm going to find out your secrets one way or another anyhow, Fir.
But he said nothing, just snuggling him. "You were trapped. You should just admit it next time Oniisan."

"I know Kitaria because she was training me to be the next Hunter." Kazuhiko answered as-a-matter-of-factly, "Kit-Kat was my friend and like another Mum and she died finally. She needed the rest, I helped her go."
The boy suddenly seemed much, much older for the youth of his form. It was something about the eyes...
They had the same piercing quality he was giving Fir, but for his father it was to try and evaluate the trustworthiness. "Obviously she respected you." he spoke after a while, "But I respectfully do not know if I can give you the same. I don't feel like anyone is being completely honest with me." he admitted frankly. "Mum and Da have been betrayed enough times that I should learn from their mistakes... I won't condemn Oniisan until I know the entire story, but in the same breath I won't condemn you either.... but how do I know you're worth my trust?? Kiaran knew you. I do not."
"Kazu.."
"Iie, Eara-san." he shook his head at her. "Let me handle this."
He watched him closely. "What was Fir's childhood like?"
'I am too, Ash...' he thought back, 'But you have second sight. You see things. Trigger something... touch something, see if that helps.'
Already partners in crime.

"Very well," Fir's father agreed. "I suppose the whole mess started just because of when he was born. He naturally ran off to city on his own, but Fir grew up in the 60s and 70s a time of great change in this country. Civil rights moveMENt, the hippies (well I doubt he cared much for them), speaking out against tradition, government and everything else, and not to mention the drugs. That more than anything else I think messed with his head. In that time, it was a severe taboo to reveal ourselves to humans. It still is, though the penalty is far less grave."
-----

"Some things are secret for a reason," Fir growled softly.

"No secrets last forever." Kazuhiko smiled secretly. "You take your secrets to Death. You bring them to me. I am the best confidante you will ever have." he promised. "Get angry about it, but you'll realize why it's important eventually."

Eara smiled. "Thought I'd seen him..." she whispered mostly to herself.
She had been around herself, but she looked radically different back then. "He liked the Hell's Angels a lot... always a sucker for motorcycles."
Kazuhiko nodded a bit. "But there was a time when we were open with the humans. Why isn't that so now?"
PostPosted: Mon Mar 31, 2008 12:45 am

"Because the humans began to fear magic and those that wielded it," the priest answered sternly, "And those that were magicains or non human were hunted down as witches and devils. It wasn't just iron that killed so many of your people. Mankinda abuses that which it was not understand."
-----

"I've already sad everything I want to say, Kazu," Fir said. "Once is enough."

"I know." Kazuhiko shook his head, "But we can go there. We just have to be careful. A Korred has the advantage with the immunity to iron... But what about those humans with abilities---they're like me!" he sighed, frustrated. "They have no one to train them! We could help them... Show them they're all capable of it, maybe one day we could all live together again... It sounds idyllic, but I'm going to be around a lot lot LOT longer than you. Keeping them ignorant isn't going to help. One day that's going to break..."

Kazuhiko shrugged. "You're cranky." he pointed out. "Your dad is too. Crankimoes. So when are you actually gonna train me again??"
He didn't think he was going to be anywhere near as rough as Kit, and this was slightly to the Korred's disadvantage.
Kazuhiko didn't mind pushing boundaries at all.
"Why do you want to be alone so much?" he frowned suddenly. "Don't you like anyone?"
PostPosted: Mon Mar 31, 2008 1:02 am

"I'm not alone," Fir said with a frown. "In case you haven't notcied, I rather enjoy hanging with the rats, men and women, and occasionally hyperactive children."
-----

"We do not keep ourselves in a complete bubble," the priest said, "We educate them about things that occurs in the human world. We might not be a part of it, but we still live besides them."

Kazuhiko shook his head. "Yes you are." he said, snuggling him. "You try not to be, but you're like me. You still feel out of place."
He crawled up onto his shoulders, sprawling across them. "How much longer do we have to stay here Oniisan??"

Kazuhiko thought over this for a while, but shook his head. "As time passes, so things change." he answered. "I think Fir was just like me. He was tired of people being afraid of him and he had enough and wanted to go somewhere else that was nice and didn't know who he was. Enough is enough. I need to train. My Da is going to explode. You might not care about your son, and he might not care about you, but I don't enjoy the thought of being an orphan thank you." he broke the meeting short curtly.
"Kazu-kun.."
"Eara, don't start." he snapped. "Mum's going to die. I don't have time. We need to get what Kiaran left us, please."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 31, 2008 1:11 am

"I'm not alone!" Fir snapped. "I feel fine when I'm with my rats. I'm fine."
------

The priest frowned. "You were the one to ask so many questions about everything in the first place, and I gave you your answers. Do not yell at me for lost time."

Kazuhiko shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I don't have time to talk anymore." he reiterated. "I need to hurry up. Time is different on Tarnbsei. It's a different PLANET." he tried to explain, frustrated. "Da's getting worried, I can feel it. Please. Please??? Hurry..."

"Are too." Kazuhiko snapped back. "Look me in the eyes and try to tell me that. You won't, you can't, and if you do you're lying. You're still afraid to show all of yourself." he pushed his chest. "You don't trust anyone until they're vulnerable."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 31, 2008 1:16 am

"What the ******** are you talking about?" Fir demanded angerily. "There's a bunch of people I trust, just none of them live here."

The priest nodded. "Very well, come with me," He rose and lead the way down the steps to an underground room.

Kazuhiko shook his head. "When you go to sleep tonight you'll figure that out." he answered. "And still, Fir, I know you wonder what would happen without them. Quit worrying so much. And quit getting angry about it. It's dumb." he shook his head. "Not my fault you're see-through."
He HAD been off since Pixel was almost hurt.
"Aren't you ever going to have kids of your own?"

Kazuhiko followed him eagerly, Eara much more demure and quiet.
She knew how to be respectful, but trying to control Kazuhiko was almost stressfully difficult.
"I don't mean to be rude." he apologized again, going so far as to offer the priest a hug. "I'm just tired... I need a weapon that can amplify holy energy against a demon god so I can save my parents." he started talking to him.
It was weird, but he decided he liked the priest enough now.
"I've only known them for a few months, though.... I don't want them to leave me now. It's kinda scary. How am I ever going to be a Hunter without Kitaria?? Does Fir know?? I'm so worried about everything..."
He played with the priest's hair, snuggling him.
He needed some sort of comfort, and Eara wasn't cutting it. He was walking all over her.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 31, 2008 1:28 am

"No," Fir said angerily. "Not really in the plan. I'm happy with my life just as it is. I hate this place and I hate being here with all of them glaring at me. Why the hell have you decided to attack me!?"
--------

"We have no such weapon," the prist said softly, "We are not a fighting people, but we do understand the sacred. If this is an unholy demon, we may have something."

Bright Eyes looked over to Eara. "You gonna be kissing Fir alone at the end of this, like Pixel'll sometimes do?" she asked.

Eara blinked, suddenly flushing brightly. "W...What?!!" she glanced down at the girl, clearly unnerved.
Kazuhiko actually smiled and giggled at this.
"Any help you can give, I will be grateful." he answered the priest softly, nuzzling him. "You're kinda like my Da too if Fir's my Oniisan. Even if you disowned him. I'm a link a lot of times." he sighed. "He's really, really, really, really unholy. He eats souls. And people. Whole. Alive. He made Mum mad twice." he added. "He tortured her to the point she broke into a billion little pieces and it took Da a long time to fix her. He's not very nice at all..." he frowned.

Kazuhiko looked at Fir as if he was crazy. "I'd never attack you, but I just want to know." he stated simply. "Because I want to see where I'm going to be many years from now. My life is mirroring your own short of my destroying something gigantic. I almost have plenty of times." he mused quietly. "I need to know what I have to try and prevent, and what I need to use to my advantage."

"You know I don't need second sight for some things," Bright Eyes commented with a giggle.

The priest nodded. "Then you need to go to Nemetona herself. She'll be able to help you more. I only have the Fianna left."
-----

"And here's the difference between you and me," Fir said, "Your parents give a s**t. And that's a big different Kazu. It makes all the difference in the world."

Kazuhiko nodded at Fir, but at the mentioning of parents he was likewise very...
Different. For all of the boy's brightness, when he brought his parents up, it just seemed to eclipse the sunlight from his eyes.
He looked hollow.
"They give a s**t, but they're going to die." he answered quietly. "They're going to explode and I won't be able to bring them back."
He was terribly pessimistic about this situation.

"Fianna...?" he whispered, watching him closely. "Nemetona is a Fianna?? I'm gonna get beat...." his eyes widened.
Fir's dad wasn't scary anymore, but another Fianna...
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh s**t....
"I thought Kiaran was the last....?"

Eara shook her head, still blushing. "I don't doubt it." she answered softly, ruffling her hair. "But perhaps not."
What a weird topic...
"I don't think he's my type, sweetheart, or I his."
