Lunora returned to human form, exhausted and on weak legs. She only had a few cuts here and there, but she was fine. She just almost collapsed into his arms.

Demetri didn't skip a beat, picking up his wife gently and starting to head to the castle. He rubbed circles into her arm with a small smile. "Looks like the boys can come home, can't they?" he said to her, knowing it would cheer her up.
Kai ran, tripping some, towards the two teachers, and soon caught up with them, she ran around, stopping the wizard in his tracks as he carried the demon to the castle. "Did... D-did they go?" she asked, tripping over her words. She'd wanted to ask if Hakaru was safe, but decided that was the safest way to ask. [OOC:] Them humans ain't comin' round here no more.

Lunora smiled some, feeling her husband pick her up and talk of their sons coming home. That sounded so nice. She could hug her boys again. But what broke her out of this harmony was a familiar voice of a certain mermaid, which instantly soured her mood. "Yes they left."

Kai moved aside so Demetri could walk again. She could already tell, just from her tone, that Lunora was angry with her. It seemed ominous, and she crossed her arms, suddenly cold. She knew she'd hurt Hakaru, but she'd had to do it. She had no way of knowing whether she'd be able to convince the mer-people to get involved. For all she knew, had she said nothing to Hakaru, he would've died right here and she'd be locked up in some aquatic prison, never knowing what was happening. [OOC:] Wanna skip to when the wolves/princes/Otosan return?

[OOC:] Sure.
Lunora was sitting on a back porch with Demetri, sharing a swinging bench with him as she waited for her pack to return. It took a few hours, but soon the large family had returned. The fox was up immediately and greeted her father and the pack, leading them back to the meadows where they had previously been settled. The next thing she did was hug her boys who had returned to her as well. "I missed you two so much." she whispered, stroking their hair softly, relishing feeling them back in her arms.
Hakaru again was silent throughout the journey back home. But when his mother hugged him, he clung to her. Like he did as a child, he clung to his mother, knowing she would never leave him or push him away. He found comfort for once since Kai had spoke so harshly to him.

Demetri smiled at the sight of his sons, following after Lunora as she practically attacked him with her hug. He put an arm across the shoulders of either son, giving a short hug before taking a step back.
Damian wriggled away from his two parents. He'd missed them, of course, but it was embarrassing that they were hugging him. He looked over at how Hakaru and his mother were hugging. Having not heard his brother's voice in seven days, he hoped Hakaru being home would be a louder Hakaru.
Kai was sitting in the window seat of her room, staring down at the grounds of the castle. She had watched the approach of the wolves, and she pressed her forehead to the glass as she caught sight of Hakaru. He looked horrible, and she bit her lip sadly.

Lunora pat Damian's head some when he wiggled away from them. She then led her sons inside.
Hakaru followed his mother, staying close to her. He just wanted to stay with the people he knew loved him. Once he was inside, he went to put away his things. The young prince went back to his room, hoping for a nice quiet section of time to himself.

Kai stuck her head out of her room once she realized Hakaru was inside the castle. She caught sight of him heading into his room and she slowly closed her door behind her, creeping down the hallway. She could see his door in front of her, and she bit her lip again.
Because of her organization of the army and her bringing them to help Mesilici, she was no longer banned from the ocean herself. She didn't have to walk around like a dull-looking human, and had her once again long, red hair in a bun behind her head.
Kai took a deep breath, gently knocking on Hakaru's door. She knew that if he didn't answer she would leave him alone. He deserved to treat her like dirt from how she'd spoken to him.

Hakaru looked up from unpacking to his door. He went over and opened it a crack to see Kai there. Her hair was red to match his own, but it was up in a bun. Yet he wasn't happy to see her. His eyes didn't hold anger or hate, they held fear. He quickly and quietly closed the door as if to shut out the pain that was trying to flood back to his mind. He didn't want to feel it again.

Kai closed her eyes as the door shut. Of course. It hurt that he'd been almost scared of her. A tear welled in the corner of her eye, but she blinked it away. She had no right to cry. "I'm sorry," she said, not knowing if Hakaru could hear or not, before she turned, heading out of the castle and down to the gardens. Not a lot of people were out there, and she soon found an overgrown bush of some time of lily. Curling up by the hedge, she started to cry quietly.

Hakaru backed away from his door and curled up under his window, crying again. He hadn't cried much over his absence, but the tears were back and flowing at full force as he was on his side, under the window, sobbing quietly. The pain seemed so fresh like Kai had hurt her all over again. The young prince couldn't control the sobs anymore, them getting louder.

Hakaru's crying was like a beacon to Damian. The older prince didn't bother to knock on Hakaru's door before he opened and shut it. Immediately, Damian was sitting by Hakaru, a hand on his shoulder. "It's not the end of the world, Hakaru. It'll get better, I promise."

Hakaru shook his head, curling up tighter. "M-Make her go away, brother. M-Make her go away..." he sobbed into his own sleeves, tears pooling under his head and soaking into his hair. The young fox just laid on the ground, crying for a while before his mother caught her son's sobs. She went to the door and knocked before coming in.
"What's wrong? Damian, what happened?" she asked as she knelt by her young prince.

Damian frowned, unsure of what to say. He intensely wanted to get rid of the mermaid, merely for doing this to Hakaru. What in the world had she done to make his younger brother feel so bad? At the sound of his mother's voice, Damian turned and raised his hands in an "I don't know" gesture. "I think... I think he's... Kai," Damian said, confused. He had just seen his brother before they'd gone to their rooms. He didn't see Kai herself, did he?

Lunora sighed a little and pulled her young prince into her arms, holding him close and letting him cry as he clung to his mother. She waited to speak, gently stroking Hakaru's damp hair until he had cried himself to sleep. She then looked to Damian. "Before you two left with your granddad, your father tried to convince Haku to leave, but he didn't want to. He didn't want to leave Kai's side. But after a while, he came back to Demetri and said he was ready to leave. We believe she said something very horrible to him. Enough to make him turn into this..." she said, for once expressing sadness in front of her sons. The queen continued to stroke her son's hair in an effort to comfort him while he slept.
