se stopped glaring but didn't smile either. she felt indifferent with him. "raine smash." she pushed her sunglasses to her noce and kept looking at him.

He held his hand out to shake hers and kept the simple smile on his face. "Pleasure."

she looked at him a bit first then took his hand and shook it. "right." it felt wierd to hear a guy this polite. her brother and father were usually pretty loud.

He brought her hand up to his face and planted a small kiss on it. He then let it go and stood up straight. "You shouldn't wear those sunglasses. You have beautiful eyes. Green is my favorite color."

she felt her face get red and stood there, a bit stunned. she quickly withdrew her hand then pushed her sunglasses back up and hid her eyes. "i happen to like these sunglasses. you got a problem with that?"

He gave a small laugh and scratched the back of his head. "There's nothing wrong with it." A ringing was heard and he took a phone out of his pocket and answered it. "Hello? Oh. ... No, that's fine. I understand. ... Sure. I'll just get something in town. ... Okay. Love you. Bye." He hung up the phone and looked back at her. "Heh. Looks like I won't be having dinner at home tonight. Would you like to join me somewhere in the city?"

she rubbed her head a bit then looked at him. "why would you want me to go with you? i only just met you and i threaten to beat you up."

"I wanted to get to know you better, but if you don't want to then I'm not going to pressure you. And a threat is different than an action, isn't it? But, if you already have plans, then please. Don't mind me." He smiled and didn't know if she had a family to get home to or not and scolded himself in his mind for being selfish and thinking that she would just hang out with him.

she thought to herself for a bit then reached into her pocket and got out a cell phone. "i'll have to let my parents know. but this is only to hang out for a bit. this ain't a date, you got me?"

He gave a laugh and a small grin. "I wasn't about to pay for your food after getting you a game so I was sure it wasn't going to be a date from the start. Call your parents." He put his hands in his pockets and waited for her to finish on the phone.
At home, Mari was fixing dinner and Cyan was in the kitchen helping her. He got him homework done and since it was the weekend, he was looking forward to being able to get away from school a bit.

"good." she opened her phone and called home. she hoped that her mother would pick up. smash was pretty touchy when it came to boys.

Mari had her hands in the sink when the phone rang. "Cyan, get that. My hands are wet." He was setting the table at the time and nodded, walking over to the phone and picking it up. "Hello?"

He got mad when he heard it was her and started shouting. "It was your turn to help with dinner! Great job leaving me to do it!" Mari heard him say that and figured that it was Raine that he was talking to. She gave a sigh and dried her hands, walking over and taking the phone out of his hand. "Give me that... Raine, where are you? I thought you were going to help me tonight?" She was upset, but trying not to get too angry and start yelling. The girl already got enough of that from her dad. Cyan was shouting in the background about injustice and Mari gave a growl and glared at him. "I'll show you an injustice if you don't shut up, Cyan!"
James could hear the commotion over the phone and just laughed a bit at it.

she let out a sigh and kept talking. "i know mom and i'm sorry. but i kinda ran into someone. is it alright if i stay out longer? i'll even take cyan's next turn."
