Shin, maybe you should kill Elias, and keep his soul in a crystal and all to yourself. And when you are feeling stressful, you can crush the crystal like a stress ball... Not that I have seen/heard/done that before...

Now, Nelphean used to be able to read, but having those memories being forcefully ripped from his head kinda... made him mostly illiterate.
Thus, why he never goes into the library.
