Hmm... anyone have any characters free to RP with my Passion ninja? In the Academy would be nice, or they can go out and meet people.

Well, both of my characters are free, though I was hoping to find someone to face me in a game. And no, tell your Passion ninja that Naked Twister does not really count.

I have YVD if that's what you use.

I actually prefer just using a standard chatroom sort of thing. YVD is fine for keeping track of the field, but I don't want to rely on it for full dueling. (Since it actually connects the two computers together, if your opponent has a computer full of viruses, or is a hacker, you're basically letting in anything they want to share. Even if they don't know about it.)
In the Tabletop Gaming Forum, the main YGO thread has a link to a tinychat that they use pretty regularly, I can give you that link if you want.
Or there's the slightly more bulky just using your real deck, and making your post here. That allows you to take breaks during, if you need to, but it also slows the duel down considerably.
Those are the main options I know of, anyways. And we don't have to duel, that could always be something for another time if you aren't feeling in the mood for a duel now.

Well, proxies are always an option. I currently have a mock-up deck of playing cards, with the names written on each. And for an online tournament, I'm using index cards. Again, just for keeping track of your own deck, YVD is fine. It's just when you connect to another player that it isn't necessarily a good choice.

I see a Yoshimitsu Orimara in Hidden Moon, at 1,000 chakra. Basically unused, would that be you?

You're probably in the Academy.
I'll RP with you.

Basically, that is your character's life energy. You gain more by training/posting. As it stands, 1000 chakra would allow you to sue some of the basics a few times, before reaching the limit of your stamina. The best option is generally to go post up a bunch of training, both to learn more and varied techniques, and to increase your chakra capacity. A character with forty techniques and 25,000 chakra will have much more options than a character with four techniques and only 2000 chakra. Having less doesn't mean you'll always lose, though. Tactics are just as important.

Yeah, you lose chakra when you use ninjutsu or genjutsu (the rules on this aren't actually stated anywhere) and most people consider your chakra to be a measurement of how generally "strong" you are.
Keep that in mind and otherwise we just do straight RP fighting.
But everything you post, every bit of roleplaying you do, increases your chakra and gains you new techniques.
So RPing with someone is actually quite productive because it helps you to keep the flow going, so to speak. You'll never just kind of run dry and get tired of posting wall of text after wall of text.

alright, i understand and i will rp with you too Dual. I was in the hidden moon if i remember. If you have a chara there Dual then we can train each other. and teach each other technics as well, it is basic martial arts strategy. that way we both benefit. I am a strategist after all
