"I personally don't care what he thinks or does...long as he's not a danger to be around, and he still comes to remember that he had a debt with me. And he may not want to be elvish, but I am...and more so drow. I will have my deal with him seen put through to it's end. Even if I have to hunt his tail all over the Underdark to do so." Simple as that wasn't it? To Sevilin it was.

Though his steps fouled a moment at her other little topic mentioning. Did she have to bring it up? "I...felt you deserved a proper description?" Honestly...he didn't really know why he had done that...the word had merely popped into his head and he had felt compelled to say it. "What are looks anyway...they are not always the best thing in the world." Why did she have to ask the hard questions he wasn't ready for?

Malik heard the two yelling and looked up only for a moment. damned magi. and that fat woman...if he had to hear that voice anymore than needed he was going to give her a taste of hate. got she screeched like a banshee.

Other than that, he was quietly enjoying some time with his wife, letting her have some small wine glass, but that was her limit. just one. then she'd be on grapejuice and cider.

But Jiscal leading Arthur to the buffet on his own...that got a suspicious look. both of Arthur and Jiscal. And his eyes turned again over twoard the halfling paladin..and the minotaurs. neither of them seemed overly impressed. and he didn't notice for certain any of Kimmuriel's crew.

"Indeed. most interesting already. Though I find that Zahara and Sevilin finally have agreed on what I told them a long time ago. there's a mutual attraction."

Then spotting the gnome. ah, there was probably on of Kimmuriel's inclusions.

"Well, I think things will work out fine for us. is there anything you wish to indulge in, Chev'?"

Arthur paused a moment as the king went off in asking him some questions, a woman who would care less about you, yet enjoy what you can do for her? Arthur was a little stumped on that one and before he could answer king Jiscal had to go because his Queen was calling him back to her, but before the king left he said something to Arthur that kind of struck him a bit hard, he could come and live here and give his service to the king? It be different than having to put up with all the s**t he gets from Malik and Sevilin everyday. Though Arthur smiled lightly at King Jiscal's advice about Malik and nodded just a little bit. "Trust me I've been trying to, but yes he can be a good source for a lot of things really; I'm just happy I survived living there after this long." He said with a light chuckle and bid the king farewell before turning to the food.
As the surface elf eye scanned over the different dishes he never noticed the little gnome next to him until the little guy almost walked into him; Arthur stepped back a bit to look down at the small man and sniffed the air a little to take in oil and some other fluid. With a small gaging noise come from his mouth he was going to say "Hi." to the little fella but then the gnome went off asking Arthur all of these random question he could barely keep up with, when Trem was done Arthur took a deep breath and said "Well first off the names Arthur Murdock nice to meet you Trem, and I'll just call you Trem since I find those nicknames kind of odd for a gnome, I haven't really picked anything to eat yet I'm sure I'll grab something soon, I don't mind the New Deep Water though I haven't been able to see all of it yet I'm sure it'll do just fine. I'm from Honoursfeild and I don't know if you have been there already." It seemed that Arthur could answer almost as fast as the little guy could talk, it was all thanks for having to take quick breaths while practicing his violin.

She hissed as his fouled steps meant her vulnerable toes got crunched in her satin slippers. But she knew it had been an accident and she took a deep breath and squinched her eyes trying to ignore the sudden pain. If only she could have worn her boots with the dress...sadly for being fancy it just didn't work well. But the dance was brought to a close and she merely gave Sevilin a genuine smile. "Yes, I know Sevilin. I understood why you used the particular word you did. You forget that I know these things about you, the things that no one else does." Thus she gave him a quick curtsey as she'd seen the other women do and smiled again. "I took it as the highest of compliments. Thank you for making my night." Thus she left the dance floor knowing he was behind her. Her gaze was drawn to Piper who had just been handed a drink. And Zahara knew she was pregnant so if Piper could drink then dammit so could she. She was far more likely to be able to take it anyway. And with that thinking in mind, the next tray that wandered past, a quick snatch and she had a lovely glass of something or other in her hand and lifted it to her lips. She hadn't had anything alcoholic in six months. She was due, dammit.

Thump. Thump. Thump. Clank.

The sound of the dwarven King echoed through the hall. The party must have been on for about an hour when he arrived, with only one attendant, and an elf at that. He was wearing dwavish full-plate mail (with special permission, as he would not come wearing anything else, because since he put on the armour, he has not taken it off). Unarmed he seemed like a small ball of metal, and rather un-imposing with his hairy beard streched out of his face-guard. After several days of discussion, the attendant managed to convince him to wear it open... At least when he was eating and drinking. They thundered, or more accurately, the king thundered to where Jiscal was imbeded in conversations he cared nothing about. "I'm the King. They made me it. I don't care for these carfunkles. Give me booze, and I'll be your friend for another year."

Jiscal looked stunned. His eyes were wide, and his jaw hung low with wonder.

The attendant coughed, "I present to you King Trogar Ironforge of the Ironforge Clan. The Shield King as he most often reffered to, has come to this gathering to show that the dwarves wish to continue the friendly, albeit distant, relationship. They like it this way, and your flow of steel shall remain most promptly."

The dwarf king spat on the floor. "Booze me." The attendent retrived a cup of wine from a server.

"This is all that is near by, I'll have your ale ready for you at your table." The attendent replied.

"This is Fin. He's a Good Kid." The Dwarf said to Jiscal before the question could be asked. Fin bowed.

"I'ma gonna sit down now." The Dwarf king said after he started to clamor to his seat. He found the podium that he and the other visiting king were placed on to be a bit beyond his fance. He never felt comfortable being seated higher than everyone else. But, at least now he could look the humans in the face and not the sturnum.

Fin bowed again, and joined the dwarf king.

Trem clapped his hands at the friendly conversation. "I came here abord a pirate ship called 'The Salmander's Rapier'. It was sunk in the Deep Waterman port passed seven months ago. The other pirate captain didn't like the idea of the ship being too idle and didn't want to make a whole new crew because Salmander doesn't like it when other people sail his ships. So, it got burned. I have been to honoursfield, I am the project leader of several of the major bulding projects going up there. Earthquakes have been rampid lately, so I have been set back several time. I was invited here by personal invitation of the King for the hard work I put into his fleet. Captain Zhap Brandygan, over there, is the commander of the main battleship, Batalia. It has several heavy weapons along with a few of the good old Byzantium weapons that are a must for modern navy warfare. It could probably sink the Whip... if the drow would get off it first. I don't like the drow too much. They wont let me on the Whip. I am stranded here until Salmander comes looking, which he wont because he's a d**k, or the other Captain takes me back with him, which he might not because he seems to love this place. Do you like to sail? I like the open waters because natural storms and calmities make my days very busy. I rebuilt the Rapier several times and was sad to see it go. She was an ok ship, but her last crew mutenied and that was the end of her. They lost in a fight with some surface elves. They got completely slaughtered by the ambush tactics, I heard that the elves did not lose a single fighter. Goes to show brains before brawns always wins the fight... unless the brawns is something that has no brains and wins, like a Cloud Giant. Cloud Giants are wierd. They have tempers like no tomorrow and welcome and throw you out within ten minutes of eachother. The Other captain and I went to their castle once. It would take five years to get there from here because of ... the nasties. They are nasty. Do you like fish? Do you Like Fishing? I invented a way to solve the problem of taking time to fish, but sometimes it makes the fish uneatable. I throw a black powder bomb into the water, and it makes them fly onto the ship. It also helps to keep Kraken off the ship. Kraken are troublesome. They like to eat us. Do you have any pets? I like cats and dogs, but I can't seem to find any here. I used to have a pet Minature Giant Space Hamster, from outer Space. But, he grew bord of my company and went back home. Or at least, that is what my mom always told me. Do you like Tree? Don't you think the trees here are great? Big and black, and full of druidic magic. I only know or meet one local Druid, His name was Stoneshaper. He's a sour puss."

It was rather nice to just sit there side by side one another and people watch. After all, she had spend quite a bit of time in her planes travels before Malik around humans...liked to watch and mess with them mostly, tried not to directly emulate or interact too much with them though. But of course pleasantly pleased with being allowed to drink...even if it was one and wasn't a lot, it was still better than nothing and being reprimanded about it. But her eyes went back to Zahara and Sevilin at Malik's mentioning of things. "Or maybe he's just indulging her because she's pregnant..." A little shrug of her shoulders with a little giggle. "Perhaps they indeed will work out for us. It would be nice for a change...after all we've been through here. Even a little break would be nice..." Hey she had being pregnant to concentrate on now. But another smile to him. "You don't have to indulge me A'mael. You know these kinds of things are always a little overwhelming for me, but don't let me hold you back from your own fun. Just...no maiming. Or trouble."

He stiffened lightly at her hissing noise, wincing himself at the fact that he had indeed crunched her toes. "Sorry..." Yeah that was a good thing wasn't it? Let's piss her off and see if she snaps. Though it seemed he would be spared any more toe crunching incidents as that particular dance was brought to a close and she went about being fancy somewhat. Though one of those rather surprised blinks at her boldness to dare talk about how she knew things about him that other people other than himself shouldn't know. But that was the risk of sharing aspects about yourself with others now wasn't it?

But another blink as apparently his earlier single word, had made up for his toe crunching. "You're welcome, Lady Val'Ril," Hey, they were being fancy, might as well play it up now shouldn't we? No harm in it. But yes he did follow her off the dance floor...and no more than two seconds after she had picked up that glass, he had plucked it from her hand and set it on another passing tray so it could be on it's merry way to someone else. "None of that for you."

A strange mage walked up to the table that housed the party from the Triumverate fortress he looked at them one at a time, then walked away. His black robe was unusal for the gathering, as that type of dress was often associated with dysfunctional priests and necromancers. But alas, there he was in his black and rather unfathomably plain robe. The only really striking feature of this fellow was his eyes. They were a very feral purple colour. They lacked the luster of Tarathiel or the magisty of Zahara. They were simply feral.

Arthur chuckled lightly at the little gnome and a small appeared on his face, man was this little guy a chatter box or what? But it was his turn to speak so slowly Arthur took a huge deep breath and began. "Well that sucks that your ship sunk about seven months ago but at least you had some time to yourself am I right? To me it sounds like the other pirate captain is an a** so don't worry about it, let the guy do what he wants to do and if he needs your help then you give a rats a** about what he thinks. You've been to honoursfeild huh? Well that’s cool and you must get paid well with all the major projects that you do up there, it must be exciting huh? But they are having some earthquakes? I never knew that, oh I hope my family is okay really, hope they were able to protect themselves as best as they could. But you worked on the King's fleet eh? Again impressive I bet you put a lot of thinking into it so it be the best fleet eh? But the drow wont let you on the Whip? That's no surprise there I live with three drows and they are a handful trust me Trem. But the Salamander wont come for you eh? that's too bad it seems like you got a good mind in that head of yours. Trust me I love to sail back near the fortress I have my own boat docked off a sandy shore a bit out, that's how I arrived there in the first place; the water can be called my second home really I love to sail. Though I'm surprised to hear that about the Rapier, I thought it was a pretty good ship, oh well I guess the captain didn't pick a good crew I guess. I love to fish though, it's what I mostly do while sailing since I got nothing else better to do, but I prefer a rod and some bait than to your method, your way of fishing seems to take the fun out of it for me; but hey that's the way you want to do it right? I got no pets honestly and my parents saw to it that I never got one, besides I think I would of been a lousy owner anyway. Trees rock! I love to spend time in tress but sadly I barely have time to do anything these days now. Though meeting a druid sounds wicked I would love to see how they work their magic." Arthur then stopped and started to take deep breaths, man did that gnome know how to speak to someone!

Another smile shot to him as they walked their way off but shortly thereafter she felt the glass plucked from her hand just as a drop had slipped out into her mouth. Savoring that one drop she whirled and raised an eyebrow to Sevilin. "Why not? Piper gets some and she's pregnant as well." Thus she walked off after her glass and snatched it back. She was going to have a drink tonight. And just in case she grabbed another then spun and held it out. "Come on Lord Inthara, have a glass with me in the spirit of this party." Instincts arose, magic was sensed and her gaze was drawn to the moving figure. He'd glanced over long enough for her to catch his gaze. Violet. Just like hers. Her words were momentarily caught in her throat and her hand tightened upon the glasses. Something was not right...

Zhap Brandygan took up trying to fix himself up with a half-elf servent girl. She did not seem impressed by him, but found his assisant Kyp to be simply delightful. Kyp stumbled his way through Zhap's advances, and found himself betweem Zhap, and the girl. Every few moments, "And that is why they call me, the Zhapper." Echoed from the conversation. Kyp would imidiately sigh.

Gil continued to stand in the main foyer, and watch the people celebrating with passive interest. He only looked back to make sure that no one had managed to get passed him or the two minotaurs, Vine and Axe.

A herold trumpeted. "The First Brunch Is now being brough into the Dinning Hall." Was annouced from several points. If guests wanted to eat the first brunch they would have to sit in their seats.

The Dwarf King was happily drinking with his Attendent. Everyone knew this because he kept shouting it.

Malik wached the black robe with teh feral purple eyes. well well...that was of interest. then a small grin at Piper.

"Alright, no maiming. and I'll try to stay out of trouble."

Then up he got, and strapping on Ebony..hey, Malik was never unarmed if he could possibly help it..but that also ment another trip to ge that thing reenchanted again. damn that paladin...then off to look for thier blackrobed feral watcher..while taking a moment to grin at the dwarf. hmm..he coudl make them an offer. and he'd need to talk with the Purians as well. let them know he had one of thier scouts. Was only polite.

"Poor Zahara, not a drink for you, eh?"

As he passed by, snatching up the drink that sevilin had just put back and drank from it, watching for that black robed figure, idly moving about the ball.

"Though that captain may sound like an a**, he is actually a nice person, once you get passed the murderous drow. His current crew does not take well to non-drow and they kicked off everyone who isn't drow. The Captain said he would rather us non-drow live than suffer the boredom of the new drow sailors. But I have not seen or heard about that ship in some time. I think you would like it. It is very magical." He stopped talking and ate something and smiled. "Good good, you should try this."

Back to the conversation, the longest one he had had all night because most people cannot keep up with him. The other deep gnome in the area did not want to come to the party, because he did not really like Trem. "The Druid seems to get his magic from nature itself, and commands a great deal of power over it, except when he does nature wrong. He will not come near my machines. Absolutely will not. He hates them with every fibre in his being. His daughter though, a nice girl she is, is really smart and understands the mathematical equasions and complex procedures that go into making them. She could build her own internal conbustion engine if she but tried, and it would work as well or better than mine. What family is your family? Where do they live? If they lived in the north west half of the city, they had to move because of the disaster. They could not breathe because of the toxic gas. Stoneshaper says that it is made by the molten rock that is only a few hundred feet down in some palces from where we live. Apparently, we live in a valley that is the lowest point in this half of the underdark. The vigilant keep the gases out with spells, and the wind funnels help. If your family lived in the south west, they..." He stopped talking.

The Black figure stopped his wondering and turned to reguard Malik who seemed interested in him. "What?" He asked in a very raspy voice. Like a human who had a dry throat. The sound could resemble a town being drained of all its life giving water, and the laughter of the person who took it away.

He sighed as he followed her and then stopped in his tracks when he was held a glass of wine himself. That was taken and set aside and then he took Zahara's glass, drank half of it and then handed it back to her. Though it was clear that he didn't enjoy that drink at all. "First off, I don't drink. Secondly, Piper is only having about that much, so that's as much as you can have as well then...fair field for all. But no more than that. Do we have an accord?" His fingers still on the stem of the glass, ready to pluck it from her once more if she didn't want to play by the rules. Though his attention did waver as hers did a moment, after all he was constantly looking about for things that were possible harm to himself or what was his. But he shook his head and looked act to her. "Well, accord?"

Though the happy died a little at the little once over look that they got from whomever decided that party attire didn't matter to them at all. But she knew one thing that she wasn't happy at that little moment. Purple eyes usually meant drow. Especially in the Underdark here. But her attention turned back to Malik, giving back a grin, even if it was a little unsteady. "Right..." Giving a little nod as he got up and took to tracking...oh she knew he was. But look at that she got the whole table to herself...a look at her empty wine glass...yup should of saved that for a moment like right now.

"You seem..interested in myself and my companions. and the ferality to your eyes, the color of your robes...mark you as something of interest to me. Potential necromancer, perhaps? priest to some dark diety...the Sky Father maybe? Something leftover from Dimitri's playthings?"

A slight smirk from Malik.

"You brought attention to yourself, and you should know that drow do not exactly enjoy something knowing about them that they don't know about. So...I take it upon myself to see if I find a potential ally, or enemy in teh feral purple eyes looking out from that robe."
