"Greatings..." The halfling said lacking his former zeal. "Is that a big sword? I thought the invitations specifically said not to bring evil weapons." THe Halfling looked at Warren, and then the minotaurs, then humans then to the party of elvish. "It can't go in"

Warren bowed to Piper and Malik. Upon rising, he noticed what Gil had pointed out. "Oh? What's this?" He leaned sidways a bit, looking at Malik's sword.
"Oh no, that won't do at all." He waved a hand (although the gesture was uneeded) and Malvolence disapeared from Malik's side. "You'll find it safe and sounf back at your fortress." He bowed, turned, and waved. "Have a good evening." And went back inside.

"Indeed." She gave a smile to him and then walked beside him following Malik in, her shrewd eyes scanning the ballroom. Many humans standing about in all their finery as well as others. There were quite a few resplendent gowns all around. Yet she still felt that the elves around still looked far better than any humans about. Of course Arthur should feel right at home here, so many humans about and whatnot. "Well...what shall we do?" There was music and whatnot and quite a few couples were already on the dance floor. Glancing at him, she truly was considering asking but then assumed he might say no so she raised an eyebrow. "I feel like a dance Sevilin and it might do you good. Show off some of that elven grace and show up the humans."Thus pulling him off.

Arthur sighed a little to himself as he followed the others inside, he felt like a fifth wheel sort of and knew that tonight wouldn't be that much fun to him really, yeah there be free food but with the others doing their own thing he knew no one else that was in there. But before he actually got to step inside Arthur noticed that his katana disappeared from his side and was a little shocked but was calmed down when explained what happened, with a small smile and nod of his head he went on inside with the others and a little girn appeared in his face. The place was nice, good food, maybe some good mucic, the other guests looked nice but he knew that Sevilin, Zahara, Piper and Malik could easily out rank these people in beauty. Slowly he detached himself from the group and made his way over to the food, he needed something to eat, he was a bit hungry.

Oh that got a dirty look to Warren.
"Careful, mage. Just becuase I don't have Malvolence doesn't mean I can't retaliate for offense."
then a look at the halfling...paladin.
"It's no more an evil weapon than yours would be evil to me, Paladin."
Though that last word was said with obvious distaste...and he simply went on to approach Jiscal and his Queen.
"Triumverate Fortress pays it's respects to Deepwater."
Before laying down the small stack of documents.
"Offers to your city vendors. Seeing as other trades have been outlawed, I would be interested in other trade with your Kingdom."

Gil almost stuck out his tongue, but several hours of talk had sort of prepared him for that meeting. He let them pass and breathed in relief when they had gone. Malik was his opposite, yet equal in power.
Jiscal noted the papers, and lifted them. "I shall distribute them to all the local vendors right now." He took three steps to the left, and placed them before an intrictly dressed man. "Akbarizad, The Triumverate Fortress wishes to open trade with Deep Water, please see to it that they are meet." His voice sounded profane, and dutiful. He turned and walked back to where he was greeting his guests. "I welcome you to Deep Water, Lord D'vinn." Jiscal bowed. Zeranda curtsied. "I hope you enjoy the festivities." Not a hint of sarcasim crossed his voice, but his eyes showed that he was impressed with the way that Malik was carrying himself this evening. Usually, Malik is not so nice.

He might be giving the I'm better than you look to people but she would certinally take a moment or two to get into that mindset now wouldn't she? Soical situations, joy. "What you trust him to do that?" Wasn't this a situation? He seemed more trusting of those here than she was...or he was just appearing to be. Who knew...besides, she had her own little paranoia to settle on now didn't she? Yup. And then came the dragging to the important people...joy...well let's just look pretty and let Malik do the talking, yup, sounded good.
Sevilin...yeah this wasn't his enviroment. He'd never been around anything like this in his life at all. All new and shiny and....fancy...well done up...and behaved...why did he think he stood out in this crowd, even if he didn't? But his attention was quickly turned to Zahara at the tugging that was going on with his person and the mention of the word dance. Do him some good? What now? Why did he think this just got all the more interetsing as he was being pulled into dancing? Not that he would say no to her.

Zahara gave him another smile and pulled him onto the floor and swung him up into the waltz that was currently playing. It was a rather nice melody really and she merely took his hand and placed his other just above her hip then began the fancy footwork a waltz required. She refused to let the brushing of their bodies affect her though it was much more intimate what with the obvious swell of her pregnancy. "See Sevilin? This isn't so bad, now is it? Well aside from teh humans...but at least Arthur will finally be understood and allowed to be the way he is."

Malik gave a nod to them both..but caught the look in Jiscal's eyes and gave a slight grin. even drow could have manners and be civil to humans.
"I'm sure we will. don't mind the ferret...it's harmless."
Then back to Piper, taking her hand and leading them to the table that had seemed to be reserved for them. He did note the female pirate drow. interesting. other than that, he was rather content at the moment.
"How are you holding up, Piper? everything alright? As for that Mage. I'll deal with him later. Once this evening is over."
Yes, Malik normalyl would never let that slide about that blade. and Malik would remember.

Even though Arthur was around people who were just like those who raised him he found it odd just being around humans that were rich and more different than the humans he lived with. At least he got something to eat, which he grabbed from a passing waiter a few seconds ago; after munching on the little bite sized food he looked over to see the King talking to Malik and Piper and decided to pay his respect to the king in allowing him to come here tonight. Slowly he made his way through the people around him until he reached King Jiscal, the pair he came with had left and now he was alone. "King Jiscal I came to thank for inviting me to this ball, I'm honored that I was able to come..." His voice trailed off as he stuck out his hand for a handshake. "The name is Arthur Murdock, I came with Lord D'vinn and his other guests."

The normal party demeaner continued, Jiscal remaind standing, and re-greet a number of people. Especially the very bountiful Aunt Bertha, who seemed to have taken a liken to many of the guests. Laurence wondered his way over, and soon Jiscal was caught with Zeranda in a two pronged attack from relatives. A rather uncomfortable situation.
At a table to the far left, decorated with five very bright chromatic banners, two men began shouting at each other. "NO!" The first began, "I ALREADY TRIED TO REALIGHN THE PEGASUS GALIXY TO RESTORE THE LIGHT!"
"STOP TAKING CREDIT FOR THAT!" The other shouted in reply, "WE ALL KNOW THAT IT WAS A NATURAL PHENONOM AND WILL OCCURE AGAIN IN FIVE HUNDRED YEARS!"
When a few guests looked at the table, the two standing, what looked to be mages actually, stuck their tongues at each other, and sat down.
Damn... I thought I was going to get out of this. Jiscal thought.
The Arthur Murdock came and greeted Jiscal, which really made the King Happy. "Welcome, Arthur Murdock." The King Replied, "Have you visited the Buffet Table yet, oh, you must. Come with me now and enjoy the bounty of Deep Water, the Purians and Honoursfield." The King forcable drew Arthur to the Buffet.
"Thanks. I Knight Thee in Name of Deep Water." He said, not laughing at all. "I'll call you to duty again one day."

Arthur smiled lightly when he heard the voice of the king, the man sounded nice and had a respected quality to it; a man you could trust after awhile. Though Arthur was quite taken by surprised when he was asked to come along with the king to the buffet table and it looked like he had no choice when king Jiscal forcibly drew him over towards it. Again his stomach growled for food and he smiled at the servings that were laid out before him, maybe taking some food wouldn't hurt a bit, but before he could start to eat he was shocked when the king just suddenly knighted him right there on the spot, at first Arthur thought the king was joking but noticed that he wasn't at all. The young surface elf blinked a few times in wonder then was finally able to form some words and reply to the king. "I thank you King Jiscal for doing so, I be glad to fight for deepwater one day." But in reality he would be fighting for Malik mostly since he's been living in the drow’s fortress for quite awhile now.

Now...Sevilin didn't know how to dance at all. But...he was a very quick learner now wasn't he? Thus a look at the others around them a moment and then a drop of eyes to watch footwork and he easily fell into proper step and move with how this was all supposed to go. Sometimes being quick to catch on was a good thing indeed now wasn't it? Much so. "I suppose not..." But a shake of his head at the mention on Arthur. "He needs to pick what world he needs to be in...surface elves don't live well among short lived races...the grief of loss eventually catches up to them...and surface born can die from that." A little shrug. "Let him learn the hard way though." No, he was not a compassionate man sometimes.
Yes she had puppy syndrome didn't she? Not that she didn't like that at this point in time, she was more than happy to be lead around by the hand at this fancy little gathering. Though her look went to Malik and of course she flashed him a smile at his questioning to her and a little nod. "I'm fine A'mael...just fine." Though a little shake of her head at the mention on the mage thing...and she knew suggesting that he just let it go wasn't an option for him so she didn't waste her breath on it. But her attention drew across the room a moment at the shouting and that merely got a shake of her head as well and a look back to Malik. "Well...the humans are being loud..." And then letting her vision scan the room a moment. "Arthur has earned himself a spot with the king...and Zahara has Sevilin at her mercy...quite the evening already wouldn't you say?"

She spun again and nodded. "Yes well he'll either become disgusted with them after a little while since he's been around elves for so long or he'll join them. If he refuses to listen to our words then we unfortunately cannot be held responsible." She continued to move with him as the music swelled and brought forth the thought that had been circling about in her mind for a little while. "Enigmatic hmm? I didn't ask you to describe me but you did. Why?" Because that had truly delighted her when he'd said that. To have Sevilin remark on her looks would only be a mark of insult between them and she knew that he would not say anything like that to her face. Instead he remarked on her personality which was far more attractive to him than something as superficial as outer beauty. It was the highest compliment he had ever paid her and she still felt herself 'glowing' over it.

"Ever know a contemptable woman who could care less about you, yet enjoy what you could do for her? And a man with as many tales as he has fingers, yet likes to tell them one after another until you can practically tell the tale beside him?" The king smiled wickedly as he looked back and saw his half-elfish wife sneer at him for abandoning her. "Alas, though, My Queen lures me back. But, I do mean it. If ever you are in need of a place to hang your sword," Injuries really tell all, "Come by the palace. We could find a place for you." The king pattedth man on the shoulder, "I heard that you came in with Malik D'vinn and Pipper... Keep your wits about you." He offered as advice, "But from what I am told by a very reliable source, you should do fine amongst them." The king bowed his head, "Enjoy the party, Arthur Murdock." The king walked back to where his wife was, and some would have noticed that she hit him, but none would dare confront her about it.
Before long, a short and stubby little gnome with stone coloured sking bounced along next to the table, peeking over and trying to decide what to take. He almost walked into Arthur, "Oh, Hello there." He said, his eyes shone shallowly behind his specticles. Oil and mechanical fluid seemed to eminate from him, in a rather not so unpleasent way. Like a perfume desisgned for specific people. "What'cha got there? Is it good? I like food, but the choice here is too big for a small guy like me? What is your name? My name is Trem Bowl, but most people call me shorty or soot face. I guess you could call me twinckle-toes, that used to be my nick-name before I became a shipwright, and archetecte. I designed much of the rennovations here, and used dwarven labour to raise the walls. Do you like the new Deep Water? Where are you from? Have I been There?" The gnome talked in rapid succession, as most tinker gnomes tend to do. They have an uncanny ability to listen and speak simotaneously.
