At first glance what strikes you about Loki is a sense of overwhelming ennui and aloofness. It's like he has no cares for society and would like to be anywhere but in your presence shunning off all emotions except for dislike. However this is far from the case. Loki is extremely calculating, cunning and a touch sadistic. He keeps his true intentions hidden behind this uncaring mask and if you manage to wrong him he has a habit of showing a rather cruel and vindictive streak almost like the polite veneer he gives off is rather a mask for something else.
When getting close to him you are either subjected to a mask of cold slightly mischievous politeness or teasing and rudeness depending on his level of respect for you. Part of his mischief is keeping information from others just to see what happens.
This is to say he is a polite mask of bored sadism either. He can be extremely charming albeit always fond of sarcasm and their are days where he is filled with mischief.
