Then obviously teachers need to get more creative with their methods. Just toss out a rule that says "I don't care if you text message... as long as you use proper grammar and spelling!"

Man, Dead Rising 2 is hardcore. If someone ragequits in the multiplayer "Terror Is Reality" game, it kicks EVERYONE out of the game.
So if someone gets pissy because they're not in first they can ruin it for everyone.

Blargh. I am in the UK, not the USA. And there are plenty of things you can do with a History degree besides teaching because of all the other skills you get taught along with it.
I took a completely separate post graduate course to become a teacher because that is the career I want. And I'm unemployed not for lack of trying I can assure you.
I look forwards to it Hono whee

Totally was in a games and animation course, then an animation and illustration course...Got my BA,
and now have a 9-5 selling supplies for dentist's sterilizers.
