I'm involved with a very old and very active Megaman Battle Network RP. Over the years we've actually phased out EVERY canon character ever. We even made new elements. The only things that still remain from the original games are viruses and battlechips.

The shops are owned by someone's retired RP characters. We have several Net areas that didn't exist in the games. We have a bunch of original Viruses. Trying to register as a copyrighted character or anything that even smells like a ripoff of an anime character of any kind is punishable by death.

And we have a meticulously balanced point-based system for making custom special attacks.

I'll link the place because it is a freaking model that every single RP site ever should follow.

The banner (it rotates between 2 of them and 1 joke banner) is all original characters, and it was drawn by a member. There's also an old one that was retired because most of the characters in it are gone.
