"I do not know anything of it." He replied honestly, "I have allowed Zeranda to have her fun." He chuckled, "The Queen is very insistant on having everyone appear to be complimenting my dress."
"I do believe, that it shall be in the New Colours of Deep Water." He replied, "Blue and White. As for the Crest, I have no idea. She will not tell me what the historians dug from the crypts to place upon my emblem." Up until this point, Jiscal had been working under the colours of the old regime, using the stamp as well. But, he had garnered permission to use his family's colours and the crest given to his family when they were joined with the Royal Line. Since that was a fair time ago, long before Jiscal's father was born, no one could remember what it was.
"I have it on good authority, that the Oracle shall be dressed in one of the finest gowns. I hope that spledor such as hers, does not make me appear to be a pauper." In other words, Jiscal was afraid that he was going to begrudge his 'wife' for the clothes she was personally making for him... But, he did recall that she used to run the most respected and beloved brothol and show house in all of Deep Water (The Only Brothol and Show House).
The Captain chuckled, "Nope. I just happen to be the only person willing to walk up to your front doors. Something about the terror that you and the misses used to be. They know I am mad because you do not daunt me in the least. But, that I trust, goes both ways. You have no fear of me, either." Mutual lack of fear. What a nromal drow would call 'friendship'.

"Good. and yes, it's mutual."
A tilt of his head.
"Are you attending this little ball, or are you going to spend the time doing more piracy related things?"

"No, no more Piracy for me, for now. Nothing I wish to steal here." Honesty meant the death of a drow, "But I guess I wouldn't mind stealing the last dance with Piper. " He smirked, "But, that would be a fairy tale ending for me, and a nightmare for you." He laughed, he lied.
"Oh, I have something for you. I forgot that I nabbed this from my mother's cold dead hands," Figuratively, Tarathiel produced a statuet of a spider-woman thing,. "Its from the high chaple of Dominia. No one will come after it, because we all took turns looting the place." Kimmuriel smiled, "I guess you could call it 'Payment for being a pain or simply an a**." The drow causually tosed it to a guard. Never accept a gift from a drow, directly. Usually, it was a trap. "It would probably catch a fairly high price offworld, here, I doubt you could find a merchant with enough gold to purchase it."

"So it was the Qeen who gave me such a nice dress?" It had really just shown up one day, and had been expected to know what it was for, she had known, of course. But she was depressed that she would dress in the colours of Deep Water, and not of Honoursfeild.
She smiled. "I look forward to meeting her. I have heard a great deal of the Oracle, but I know not her face. I wish to know if hr good natures are true." And to see just how pretty the dress is. She did like good clothes.
"What is the ball for, Sire? Is this a political occasion? Or are the royals as bored as us hostegas?"
"I've heard as much."
She shrugged. "I've been busy. There has been a lot of chaos since the death of the goddess. And my staff has stopped working properly."
She gave him a look up and down. "Cedric is with me, and the King as well. They've come to pass a verdict." She sent out a wind bird to fetch the two, although the bird seemed rather clumbsy.

King Jiscal noted the minute sense of disappointment about her dress. "What are the colours of Honoursfield?" Jiscal asked, "Perhaps I can arrange to have your place at my table set specifically for you, or would you like me to move you to your brother's table?"
He paused, "You know, I do not believe I have ever meet the Oracle either. The Captain that has held her for most of the past year seemed to have hidden her away, not wishing for others to seek her out." Or at least, that was his impression.
"The Ball is to celebrate the end of a depression. We are trying too... Become less bored." The king had to chuckle, his scared face bouncing softly with his shoulders. HE looked very mature for someone his age, and in his position.
Cedric saw the bird crash into a nearby wall, and assumed that that was the signal that Aella had mentioned prior to waltzing into Onyx's prisson. He looked at the king, and the enterage of bodyguards. "Well then, shall we continue, you magesity?"

"Interesting. What exactly is it?"
Hey, Malik didn't know about the rituals of Lloth, only the general customs. learned just neough to loathe it and not want to associate with it.
the guard caught it, rather easily, and just stared at it.
"I haven't exactly been privy into the more personal effects a Llothian drow matriarch might have. Then again, a male knowing that and not in her service or broken at her feet is relatively rare."
Onyx leaned back some, lightly examinging his claws, though noting the bird.
"wonderful. Do I get to chose how I get to be the monster of the moment sacrifice? hanging, drawn and quartered? or the famous burnt at the stake?"
Gee...think onyx was a bit cynical about his chances? Though his eyes didn't leave Whirlwind.
"Warhammer said something interesting earlier...and I do wonder where he got that idea from.."

"I think it was generally used to club high ranking male soldiers, mostly just sons. I think one or two were actually killed with it. Otherwise, its a jewel encrusted black-gold statue of an artist's rendition of Lloth, the almight spider-b***h. I has no magical powers or uses, besides beating children." Reflexively, Kimmuriel rubbed his cranium. "Blessed be the drow not born under Lloth's domain." He paused, "I think the black part is merely soot and can be washed off with some holy water."

"Green and silver." She stood and clasped her hands, a hopeful look in her eyes. "Would you?" The collected herself, brining her hands down to rest on her skirt. "I mean...I would very muc like that, My Lord." Her blush this time was genuine.
"Why was she hidden? Was she in danger?"
"Boredom is a desease that seems to have caught most of Labyrinth in it's maw. How do the rich manage to keep busy without the worry of chores and duties?"
Gerard sighed. "Yes, I think we shall. Get this done and have the gosip done away with." He lead the way into the barraks, the gards letting him through without question. "Cedric, you may present your case when you are ready."
"The city does not exicute in those old manors. They believe in none painful deaths. But I don't think you'll have to face that."
She forwned. "I don't udnerstand what you mean, Warhammer has spoken little to anyone this past little while."

Jiscal stood, "Then I shall go make arrangements... Or maybe... You should go and assist with the guest seating. I have arranged to have the room set up in a circle, to provide little room for doubt. The curtains are hung, and chamberpots set. The wine could be tested, and your opinion of the oderves would be most helpful. I would not like King Gerard to arrive, and starve himself because of a lack of aggreement with local foods. You may use the ring to have your voice herd, consider yourself an envoy of this country's king." Jiscal smiled.
Cedric walked into the room and heard the tale end of Aella's question... "Not to inturrupt whatever stimulating conversation you were having, I would like to preesnt the evidance gathered by our team of expert adventurers. Onyx, I would like to measure the space between your fangs, if I may?"

"Yes, it might fetch a fairly decent price."
Of course Malik knew better than to keep it anyplace it coudl be potentially bad. So it was going to go in a lower vault all by itself, in blessed chambers. But that wouldn't stop him from accepting.
Onyx smirked only slightly.
"Well....his first words when he came to stop me and my twin from killing eachother was not wanting to hear me say what I said as your potential mate."
Though his cold eyes moved to Gerard.
"Oh yes indeed."
A raise of an eyebrow at Cedric, and a shrug, walking over and opening his jaw as large as he could.

She smiled shyly. "Thank you, My Lord. I was afraid I would have nothing to do until the ball. As mush as I like to read."
She was grateful that she'd get to spend more time with her brother than she had first expected. It been a very long time since she'd even spoken with him. "Thank you, very much. Is...is there anytihng I can do in return? My Lord?"
Aella just gave him an odd look and watched as Cedric worked. She didn't understand what he was getting at, or the hostility in his voice.
"Behave, young feline." Although Onyx was odler than Gerard. "Your attitude will reflect on your judgement."

"Good." The drow smiled, and Waved. "See you later." With those final words, he melted into the ground. No illusions were used this time to conceal the portal, it rippled as it sucked in Kimmuriel, and one could see how the portal was actually designed to allow Vertical travel as apposed to horizontal. The drow were standing near the portal holding nasty looking weapons. Then, as quickly as he had appeared, Kimmuriel was gone.
Cedric walked beside the Vah, and held a peice of string, marked with twelve colours. He placed it between the fangs, and pulled it out straight across. The teeth alighend with a purple mark. He returned to the king's side, holding the string for him to see. "We measured the distance between the fangs of several variety of animals, from cavebears to house cat. We marked each colour with this chart, and imput the measurement taken from the deceased to see if we could prove that Onyx is most certainly not the murderer. THe Purple mark corisponds with Moonstone's jawl, and as noted, the orange line is the murderers. This shows that Onyx's jaw is not the proper size." He did not mention if Onyx was bigger or smaller though.
"We have attested to the various pieces of evidance provided by Onyx and have found what he said to be true. Our large companion battled with the Pyrohydra, and sought passage through the caves, while my company sought out the creature at its last know location. We battled a cat-like denizen of the underdark, and it chose to kill itself over being apprehended. Its soul is locked beyond Necromancy or Spiritual summoning by the Sky Father. Not to suggest that the diety is evil, we can certainly attest to the Sky Father being mischevious and violent in nature. Murdering a doctor fouly in the streets can be called mischevius and violent, yet even more disterubing and regretable than mere kobold mischive and violence."
Cedric stood between the king and Onyx, "I have it on good authority, that Onyx did battle with a creature that is known to murder innocent people in Deep Water, and going so far as to say, even attacking the King of Deep Water, with the aid of a terrorist. As most monsters are not sentient, it is difficult to explain to the court the actual extent of how 'evil', how a creature barely more than an animal can intentionally hunt out a single individual, and maliciously attack them. I have found proof of such creatures in libraries around the world, and have on occasion seen the results of their actions. Never have I witnessed such a greedy and homicidal creature stalk human lives, and toy with them as mere morsals of food, a delicacy at that, for the creature only ate certain parts of each victim."
"Can anyone attest to human remains found in Onyx's fecies? Can anyone attest to Onyx openingly eating a human prior to this alleged attack?"
"Everyone who knows Onyx, knows how he is a very brave and honourable hunter."
"Beyond my words, the words of my companions, and the proof I have sought out, can I convince you that Onyx is not the murderer. Does any man have evidence against him, beyond the colour of his skin, and the size of his teeth? Which I might add, we have just disproven." Cedric breathed softly, he had wished that Warhammer would have come along with him, but the minotaur thought that that would be a bad idea, given that Onyx has challanged him many times before, and would probably do so the moment he has freedom. "I humbly place the fate of this man in your hands, King Gerard of Honoursfield. I regret only that I am not more able."
King Jiscal shrugged, "I guess you could hop to it." He said with a light tone. "As much as you might have free time, Alas I do not. Now I should return to work. The city needs planing, my archetects disagree with the workers, the merchants, I never knew we had so many, wish to have a say... Its a befuddling mess." He bowed to the lady, "I pray you an easier time than I."

Gerard thought this over. "Can you provide proof of having found this beast?"
That at the moment was the only matter, though right now he did not have enough evidence against the black cat to hold him anymore, he still wanted to know.
"Whether or not you can provide proof, there is not enough evidence against ou, Onyx, to hold you in a cell anylonger. Nor does the current evidence point to your guilt." He gestured for one of the gaurds to open the door. "You are free to go."
Usha bowed back. "God speed, My Lord." She walked with him to the door, as it was polite to do so. "And thank you for the visit."

Malik glanced at the figurine.
"Put it in the purification room."
then back inside to check in on Piper, adn see what the verdict was on Zahara and Sevilin, though he had a very good idea what that asnwer was as he'd already said so to Kimmuriel.
Onyx listened, and kept quiet. His eyes were still cold. This was not the first time that Onyx had been the monster of convience. And he wasn't anymore happy then than he was now. But at least he was free from this prison.
"I told you I didn't do it."
Though he gave a nod to then all, though his look lingered on Whirlwind a bit, and the look was far softer than it was at the king.
