I don't think anyone plans on actually buying FF 14. At the very least I'm not, I just like screwing around with the beta.

everyone> so yeah, i took 9 hours to dl and install the updates, and got through the char creation... and spent 25 minutes trying to find out how to turn the graphics down, because i had a framerate of 0.3 or something, and i constantly skipped over the options tab. mat was listening to me grumble while my gardener mithra whatevertheheck twitch is best suited to be in that world stood in front of two people who apparently fell from orbit, and birds chirped.
night fell and i quit The Game.
i'll buy it on ps3. i think i'm done messing with it on my comp, unless i want play with the char creation.

I tried to fish, but since I was playing the game in windowed mode, the several screens and bars involved got mashed together with the tutorial text, and I had a hard time reading most of it.
I ended up spending five minutes to effectively catch nothing, and as a result the game chided me by telling me what I didn't just catch.
The only reason I still have the beta installed is because the adventures of Justice must continue.
