Oh, no worries, I'm in no way hardcore. I remember playing the first one a looong time ago, might've even gotten through Brood Wars, but I never touched online play. And never even got placed in the copper ladder in beta, what with the servers resetting all the time and making me face superfly badasses all the time [;_;].
But yeah, playing with someone actually with you in the room was great. We ended up getting owned in the 2v2, but bouncing around possible tactics with all the intensity of a real battle was something else.

I did a couple of matches during Beta, and... well, I pretty much got steamrolled by all the tactics that people said were wrong with the beta. I ran a few 2 v 2 matches with a friend of mine after the game came out. We did well enough to win.
Well. By "win" I mean "win by default when the other people quit early after we destroyed most of their bases."

HonoRaven good to hear, because if you make me all teary eyed again I'm going to have to be very annoyed at you! mad Well, I worked late evenings at the casino for 4 years, then another 5 & 1/2 years as a night auditor... but now I only work the graveyard shift on the weekends! I am finally getting office work, even if it is only part time sweatdrop I do miss being able to slack most shifts away... >< but at the same time I am bored silly on my occasional day off, like today... What? I've only just gotten over a horribly explosive case of writers block with the help of some Lovecraft brand crazy pills.
