Ok, now think of a long metal pole, with the workings of a lightsaber on the inside, but also the button is inside aswell, but i'll get back to that in a bit. Ok the pole is say, 5-61/2 feet. And its made out of a very durible metal alloy.(like all lightsabers) Out of one end when activated(Can only be activated by the force. Being the switch is inside the pole and meant only for force-users good enough.) a saber blade comes out, say about 1-21/2feet long. Its the most difficult to use next to the whip.(or whatever it is)
You fight with it as the chinese do with spears, using swinging motions and swipeing, also parrying with swords and the like, and pericing motions as well. And because of how its made it makes a good quarter staff as well for when you dont want to kill the person or fight againest vibro-blades. It is however harder to deflect blaster bolts and the like with it though. It is deadly and keeps the user rather safe form other lightsabers. It has no current known users.

Nelowulf Sounds basically what an electrostaff is. But better, its a pole-arm lightsaber.

But Why would you need a pole-arm saber when you have an electrostaff?
I mean, they block lightsabers, can be set to different voltages to either stun or kill, and essentially are the same, without need of having the lightsaber components.

The only thing that It could do that an electrostaff couldn't would be to do like Qui-gon at the beginning of TPM and slice open a blast door.
Outside of that, you pretty much have the same thing. A weapon which can't block blasters, but can knock someone over the head real well.

It makes little sense...I mean Master Zao had a Lightsaber that doubled as a walking stick, but that's about it.
Besides, why have that when you can have a SaberStaff or an Electrostaff...
