As Knoll's words filled his mind and echoed through Adele’s entire being, he felt a sense of higher resentment for the animal growing; breeding in a cess pool of hate inside of his heart. And as the dragon scampered away from Adele, bearing his fangs in an insolent attempt to stand strong amidst the waves of fury that tried to wash him away, The man’s anger subsided into a petty sense of amusement. Defiance! Just who did Knoll think he was? The thought lifted his heart onto silver strings of irony. There was no defying death, there was no defying him.

Adele stood and with the movement, a horrible cracking noise arose from his body. Ah how quickly the joints in that body became stiff! Humans were useless, he sneered inside of his head. Adeles thoughts reflected upon his face in the form of a wicked, twisted abomination that was supposed to model somewhat of a smile. “Knoll, you little Devil, you—Always a kind word from the sidelines. I see nothing has changed. His voice had changed, smooth and soothing, it cajoled any who listened into a false façade of security and warmth. “Why, you look tired, hungry. Are you hungry? Knoll?” With a wave of his hands, black particles of dust flurried together and weaved themselves into a piece of fresh bread and a chalice of water. Was it real? Perhaps some might have thought so- an illusion of nourishment. Yet another of Adele’s tricks—He could create mirages, illusions, and facades. He could spin a silver-tongued lie faster than a spider could weave her web or a woman could weave a rug. It came naturally to him, as most things did.

Adele broke off a piece of the bread, it looked fluffy, warm, inviting. He handed the piece of to Knoll. “Go ahead and take it, It’s fresh.” His devious expression soon melted back to his ‘standard’, icy, bored, and glazed over look. “Now listen here, smokes, I’m gonna’ lay it on ya’ real fast here, ok? I need to know where Alanna is, and if you don’t tell me, I’m just going to have to take you along ith me until we do find her, it’s a matter of grave importance” Adele couldn’t hold back a snide snicker at the word grave. Oh, how he loved only the sweet sting of irony.

Knoll's nostrils flarred inviting the tender smell of the bread to enter. His eyes ate up that fluffy goodness, but his body moved none to take it. Still, it was almost too good to be true and offered right infront of him. Though, Knoll could not help but assume some type of trick.. or decietement that this bread hide. With a flick of his tail, the bread was smacked out of his wrist and onto the ground. Such a waste of good food, he though temporarly before returning his glare at Adele. "Look who's calling who a Devil.." he snapped back, lashing his tail side to side in his impatience. The longer this conversation seemed to drag on the more threatened he started to feel.

Knol noticed his face transition and made him shiver. His scales all raised up half an inch, giving off a more spiked appearence. The tension between the two was thicker then a morning fog on the bay. That would be putting it mild. He sneered at the small snicker that Adele produced, this was by far a laughing matter. He loathed the way Adele made these matters seem a joke. "What do you want with her? I thought she was disowned, nothing more then the common blip in this worlds existance." his tone was harsh. The last they ever saw this titan of death was many years ago in the realm of Ars Falcis. A place where the darkness would fear the dark itself. Nothing that was living existed there, only the haunting memories of all men that come to meet their fate. Knoll was not planning on joining the ranks.

"Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you. I can only feel her presence when she is near. Nothing more then that.." He knew this information was to short and almost useless to Adele, but he did not want to offer more. This was becoming serious buisness and Knoll was not about to throw Alanna to the wolves, per say. Knoll began to walk along the length of the bar, his legs were shaking with anxiety they needed to be stretched. Though, his slitted eyes never left Adele's icy stare. To do so could mean his end.

With disdain in his heart, Adele watched the piece of bread fall to the ground, and upon impact a puff of black dust erupted from the bread and then settled into a small pile by his foot. What a pity, oh the horrid scene. His powers were so underappreciated these days, honestly.

Oh come now, Knoll. Don’t you think I would look out for her best interests? I mean, honestly. She just has a key that I entrusted to her some years ago and now it has come to be of some… importance.” He leaned up against the counter of the bar, tracing his fingers in circles on the marble. “But there’s just one thing standing in my way right now…” He smiled wickedly again and began walking his fingers along the cool surface up to Knoll where he flicked the dragon on the head with a yellow nail. “That little spot on my daughters existence would be you. The little sniveling black mark made upon my legacy, Knoll. You!”A deep settled resentment built up inside of Adele’s mind had been rattled like a snow globe upturned- the pieces floating around like pieces of dynamite around a flame. That was the powder keg and the ignition wasn’t far behind.

His eyes narrowed considerably as Knoll began telling Adele how it was HIS fault that Alanna never saw him? It was Adele’s fault? Adele began to convulse with a silent laughter, steadily becoming louder and louder like the sound of an enemies hooves growing nearer and nearer—it was the sound of dangerous grounds; a mine field of battle just waiting to happen. And just as the accusation was made, they all went off, there went the whole country east of the Mississippi. Adele turned swiftly, his hands gripping the counters so hard that the marble began to shatter under his grasp. His neck was strained as he forced his head out in Knoll’s direction, only inches from the dragons face. Adele smiled like a crazy man, his expression a mixture between anger and a morbid sense of enjoyment.

Ah so it’s my fault, then! MY fault that my bouncing little brat cut off communication with me? Aha I think I finally understand! Thank you for enlightening me, Knoll!” His voice sliced the air, a knife through hot butter on a warm summers evening. It echoed through the room and reverberated through every bone in his body. The echoes were followed by a horrific ribbing noise and a foul stench of decaying flesh. Adele, frozen, tried to peer at his neck. There, the flesh of his human body had ripped open, and a gaping hole filled with pulsing, dark veins could be seen. Obviously, he was very stressed. Had he been human, Adele probably would have had a stroke by now.

You see! Do you see whatyou did to me now?!” He threw his arms up into the air flamboyantly. “Let me tell you, this body just isn’t what it used to be.” He smirked, then looked back at Knoll, his expression emotionless once more, except for his ever burning eyes. Strings of flesh began intertwining with each other, forming a new bond of skin over where the previous tear had been. “Now since you can sense her presence farther away then I can, I guess you’ll have to be coming with me, right?” Now that, that was not a question.

Wind begins to howl, the floor begins to slowly creak unexpectedly and the lights begin to flicker. A mysterious figure comes closer and closer to the entrance of the building, making slow wooden-like sounds that kept going louder.

Then the door open the being now slowly begins to be defined by those who were inside. Male, tall and certainly of a very toned physique approached them "Greetings" was the only response that was heard. As he pass to a more lighted fixture clearly show who it was.

It was Seisuke, whose wooden sandals were making a ruckus outside. Dressed in a Japanese-style clothing and hair tied back neatly, he slowly carries a gourd to both Knoll and the newcomer that were on his view.

Adele's manical laughter and awkard expressions made Knoll's head receed in fright. The manner of his expression made the dragon shake like shingles on the roof during a storm. The strong wind of words he conjured up battered against the poor Dragon's ears. His scales went pale orange, all color washed away. He shrunk in fear of how this man portayed himself in words and actions. His eyes went wide only to show the plastered shock across his face. He feared now, more then ever for his existance was put upon a pedistal, that at any moment someone could take a hammer too. Knol bowed his head, low and in respect to the Reaper. "I.. have done nothing against you.", he spoke in cowardice, trying to make his tone seem strong, but it was merely breaking under the imense weight he carried.

Adele seemed to have gone crazy getting closer to Knoll by their faces being an inch apart now. His eyes met Adele's. There was a coldness.. sinking feeling that seemed to pool into hatred and despair. Types of emotions that would tear a common man apart, but no. This man.. was no man. Adele was far above it all. Above anything that felt or loved so easily. Knol finally came to terms with himself, his eyes and face regaining the deep orange they once had. Though, he was still paralyzed, unable to think straight or react to this barrage of emotions that were flung at him.

The skin on Adele's neck began to peel away, showing what he really was underneath. A pile of slim and filth, that tore families apart and destroyed countless nations. The black veins pulsated like wildfire in his eyes. He should have surely killed over from the intense pressure, but if one was to feel his wrist. No pulse would be found to his beating heart. If he had one. The question became proposed, that Knoll accompany him to sniff out Alanna's location for him. Of course the orange lump of a coward would not sell out his freind, but it did not seem he was going to have a word in the matter. In a last ditch effort.. Knoll regained his mind rising up to turn and jump off the counter to avoid any further conversation or contact. His nails tapped against the ground like nails falling, he felt he was in slow motion, trying to run away but all in vain, just to be caught anyways. "No! Never!" he hollard shaking words into the mans petrified noggin. He would escae.

Yang walked into the bar looking around with a serious face, his eyes scanning the bar. His hand resting easily on the Japanese katana on attached to his pants on the left side of his waist.

Even though he was no longer a soldier in war he couldn't help but attempt to look at everything as if it were war times, of course, during battle he was no ordinary soldier either.

The problem was that in a place such as this many were powerful and he could feel it, but in truth that made him slightly safer in case someone was still after him, he took a seat some distance away from the primary crowd at a table by himself, he had no intentions of staying in this area, he only needed to rest for a while.

Nya came into the bar, the door blowing ahead of her as a rough gust of wind tore it from her grasp. She turned, using all her strength to shut it back, and sighed, as she heard the latch click. She reasted silently for only a moment, her entire body soaked with cold rain water. She shivered, long black hair plastered against her childlike body, though the curves she bore told another story...She was all woman. She shivered turning to face the bar itself, sapphire blue orbs hidden behind dark lashes scanning the place. Normally it was next to desserted, today a few souls hid within. Her brow perked slightly, seeing the Gaen she'd met earlier, and another, the gaen obviously terrified of the other. A man, she saw, she reached up, running her hands through her hair, her body drying within moments it seemed, her hair now a mass of shimmering curls. She took a deep breath heading towards the bar itself. She wore a simple pair of fitted blue jeans, and a white baby doll tee shirt, the picture of a Cube, the words "Think outside the box" written in white. on the front. "After noon everyone!" She said, her musical voice carrying over the low drum of voices.

Appearing with a small pop, Ziven was perched in the rafters high above the rest of the bar. There she looked down on everyone, observing and listening to their conversation. She made no attempt to hide her presence, though for the moment, she was quiet but anyone sensitive to magic or perceptive regarding when they were being observed would likely sense someone was there.

Nya looked up smiling and giving a small wave towards Ziven... She was glad she'd cleaned all the dust bunnies from up there now... She reached behind the bar, taking a cup and then walking the rest of the way around filled it will soda from the tap. Any one else thirsty?" SHe offered, might as well since she was already there...

Adele straightened his self, smoothing back a few pieces of hair that had grown loose in the previous moments. His hair still writhed and flicked from side to side menacingly even though his demeanor had cooled considerably. He shot the fleeing Knoll a calculating look. Could dragons protect themselves? He wondered, narrowing his eyes at the defenseless thing. It didn’t matter; the ashes upon whence he had come would soon be where Knoll was to be going. Adele reached into his belt of alchemy powders trying to produce the right vial. Ahh which was it? The sandy brown or the-rattle. He seemed to tense up at the sound. The lights flickered momentarily and in walked a man who seemed to be offering something to the duo. Who was this hotshot? Psh.

No thanks, I was taught not to take things from strange men” commented Adele blandly, holding up a dark hand to stifle the man’s path. Now where was he….Ah! yes! The vial of-squeak. Adele looked up again, slightly more irritated this time. A new man had entered and followed by him was a faint popping noise. After that a woman had entered—suddenly the room was too crowded. “Hello everybody!” she had said in a voice all too cheery for Adele’s tastes. “Oh would you shut the hell up with your annoying voice and your innocent looks—fake cheer!” The girl addressed a 'Ziven'. The name seemed oddly familiar but now wasn't th time for the reccolections of a past life. She came behind the counter and the air seemd to fill with the electricity of clashing particles. He reeled back in surprise. "Stop Moving! All of you, or I will kill you where you stand!" Suddenly, it had become all too crowded for the collector of souls and he had enough. Glaring at all around him Adele glanced over the counter to see Knoll with his stupid beady little eyes and his orange color that ignited a hearth of rancor and despair deep within Adele’s soul.

Come here you little rat with wings, before I catch you and rip them off myself!” he sneered, launching over the counter with sudden enthusiasm and rage. His blood stained fingers beckoned to Knoll for the feeling of the dragons scales, his skin, his tiny skull being crushed to fragments between those very digits.

Nya perked a brow.."If its to crowded you can leave." she motioned towards the door, "Or you can hang around.."She pointed towards the rafters Ziven sat perched upon. "Much less crowded up there." she said Steping slightly to the side, unintentionally yet intentionally blocking him of getting to the Gaen. She reached up taking another glass down from the top shelf, the man towering over her by near three feet at least. The soft scent of roses already beginning to find its way to even the darkest corners of the Bar. "Oh!" She stopped backing up, "Sorry, were you needing something? "She asked, moving out of the man's direct path, but still blocking his way to the Gaen.

Knol had stopped once he reached the opposite side of the bar, where another exit was present for his escape. His ears perked up and his heart dropped how he heard Nya respond to Adele. Digging his nails into the wooded floor, and gritting his teeth he sent a telepathic messege to the girl for her own good. "Do you have a death wish, Nya?! Get away from that man! He will take no time in cutting you down! Do not think his words are empty threats!" Knoll seemed to emit a whinning worry from deep in his throat. If worse came to worse, he would have to end up getting back into the scene and fighting off Adele to save Nya. What a foolish girl she was. Speaking out of place.

His eyes moved rapidly to take in everything happening. Adele had reached to his waist and taking his time to grace his belt in search of something. His ears folded to this head and his tail cowered behind him like a scared dog. This could only mean things were getting worse. Knoll sent a growl towards Adele, deep and low to commence a type of challenge to his ears. Trying to do anything really to drive his attention away from the people Nya so generously pointed out. "You're quite the lady's man Adele. I'm sure she would fall for you any moment now.", the back part of his lips curled up in a snicker as his tounge snaked out to mock him. If he could someway contact his stupid girl, she might be able to put a stop to this.

Nya turned away from the man, moving across the bar and out, looking to survey the damage from the night before..Not to much that she saw, but she did need to polish the floor a bit.. She Knelt down, looking towards the Gaen, " If you can get to my home... call sanctuary..even he cannot touch you there. As far as a death wish...I've lost everything..my home, my family..if my duty is to die for the life of an innocent..so be it. She thought silently, wondering if he would hear her..or not. She rose picking up several wadded up napkins and headed back towards the bar throwing them into a waste basket, she set her cup onto the bar and knelt down, digging to find the floor polish.

What was that you said, Knoll? I couldn’t quite hear you!” cried Adele. He sneered sinisterly at Knoll and as the woman returned from her venture outside, Adele snatched her into his arms and murmured something under his breath. A horrible creaking noise shook the small Inn and the floor began to rumble. The sickening lurch of the floorboards echoed up through the rafters and as if in defeat one last horrible creaking noise seeped out of the wood as the floor around Nya split open. Then, for a moment, all things settled into quiet. The only noise was the electric tension building up between the two sides of the bar. Suddenly, water came rushing up through the hole in the floor with an ear ringing roar and the bitter ocean scent filled the air mixing with the contrasting sweet rose oil. Tendrils of water wrapped themselves around the pillars, and walls glazing over the bar with a crystal-like coating turning the environment more to his extravagant liking. The battle field was now on his terms. Adele smirked and grabbed Nya’s hair, taking in the sweet smell of roses and earth… it was irresistibly humane, so irresistibly innocent. He peeled away the few droplets of ice that had formed on her cheeks and face while his other hand snaked around her neck. He pressed one of his sharp, black nails inter her neck.

hahaha, of course I am a ladies’ man. They’re lining up and simply dying to see me!” He laughed manically at the pun. “Do you get it? DYING TO SEE ME! HA!” Adele’s eyes seemed to bulge from his head as he laughed. What would the dragon do now? What choice did he have? He would call Alanna to his aid; he would summon the key to Adele’s future. Adele would not pass up such an opportunity. No. He would never allow his fate to be in the hands of another; he would define his own future, he would expand his empire of blood and defecation beyond the petty realm in which it currently was. He would upturn the world and turn it into a literal hell. All he needed was the key. After all, any creature was a selfish one. Any creature fought for what was in their best interest. Adele was no different. In fact, he could never be trusted for there was always a plot scheming up his sleeves.

Now, Knoll. Who will save you from my icy grip? Who will whisk you away into the sweet lullaby of safety? Nobody and I will challenge and defeat all who dare step into my path until my daughter is summoned.” His voice was more serious now, his face ashen. Dark rings seemed to form under his eyes as the humans skin grew paler than before. The pulsing veins in his chest seemed to grow as his aggression sky rocketed. “Call her, Knoll. Call her or I will kill you.
In the hostory of man, never had a more serious or desperate statement been made.
