Nya glanced over..startled to say the least to see little reptilian eyes peering out over the bar, and then up further, searching. "By the rings of Saturn.." she said softly smiling. She made her way to the bar quietly, "Well hello there Little Gaen." She hadn't seen one of these creatures..save in books.. "May I help you with something perhaps?" She looked over the creature..astonished at how acurate her father's own library had been..in her own world Gaen..or Dragon here, had died out long ago. She refrained from reaching out to touch it..not wanting to scare it.

Knoll blinked, jumping up onto the bar to eye level with the strange girl. His head was covered with symmetrical lumps, where his horns should have been fully grown. Though small, his body was muscular and his scales moved accordingly over them as he moved. He stopped and sat down on the bar, giving a curious look with his orange orbs to her. "How are you?" he spoke with his mind into hers. He did not speak human well with his own mouth.

"I am well..actually." she replied back, though verbally. She smiled moving to sit infront of him on the bar. "Are you looking for something in particular? perhaps I can help?" She offered then, the bar immaculate in itself, she still needed to get to the rafters..she reminded herself internally, all the while awestruck that she was sitting right infront of a litt Gaen.

The dragon shifted his head to the side, replying in a smug attitude. His ears twitched and he closed his eyes to speak, giving him a matter of fact look. "Do I look lost? I'm merely looking for food. My partner has not come home in awhile and I do not fancy waiting to eat for her." By his tone, though telepathic it could be told he was male. He turned his orange eyes to her again to observe her and his surroundings. It seemed none to be in the bar, only these two. Deep in though and awaiting a reply, the very tip of his tail flicked back and forth in impatience.

"Well no wonder..'She said astonished at his attitude. "I never said anything about you being lost" she said standing up. "By all means..continue to search for food then. " she turned away moving back across, her wings glimmering into existance as she lifted herself up off the floor and towards the rafters..." Should you decide later you need help just call." She began to clean then, taking out the dust bunnies one at a time..

Knoll snorted in her direction before dropping down behind the bar again. He lifted his nose into the air, sniff sniff, and canters over to spot near the corner of the bar. He pushed his head past the the bottles and pulled out a bag of pretzels. He licked his lips, latching onto the bag and hopping onto the bar once more. Flicking his tail wildly at his discovery he attacked the bag in an effort to open it. Tearing, pulling, clawing but the bag did not open for him, and the taste left in his mouth was bad plastic and toxins. He blinked and looked up at the girl he scared off just before. "Excuse me..", he began, "I need... some help..". He lowered his head sounding ashamed now to ask for help.

Nya looks down at him from her cleaning station, nearly all cbowebs and dustbunnies vanquished and smiled. She let herself down gently, her feet barely touching the floor, before she began to walk over towards him. She reached ehind the bar, pulling out a bowl, and then reaching for the bag of pretzels she opened it, pouring the bag out for him into the bowl. "Do you want anything to drink?" she asked then, "Or something to compliment the em..."She looked at the bag reading it for a moment, "Pretzles maybe?"

The little dragon lowered his head keeping his stare on her. He picked one pretzel from the bowl and munched it down, grinning a toothy grin of satisfaction. He kept eating, until the bowl was finished. His tounge snaked out, licking the bowl clean. Normally, that much salt would burn someones lips, but due to his reptilian skin it saved him the agony. He say back, his tounge hanging out in a lazy manner. "No thank you, girl." He burped, a small trail of smoke escaping his nostirls, dissapeaing into the ceiling. The bar was warm and he enjoyed the feeling against his scales. It was almost as if he was sitting next to a fire. He now looked at the girl, his eyes meeting hers. "What is your name?"

Nya Terrez" she said in reply looking at the clock.. " By saturns rings..' she breathed, she had not realized it was so late. she was due to meet the codes inspector in only fifteen minuets!" She quickly poured the rest of the pretzles into the bowl for the Gaen. " I'm sorry.. But..I didn't realize how late it was..I was so distracted with what I was doing.. "My name is Nya..Nya Terrez, "She said again.."But I do have to go..Perhaps we shall cross paths again." she said smiling, she headed for the door, regretful to have to leave so soon, out the door she was...and then gone, her wings carrying her up and away into the blue yonder..and towards home.

The air started to thicken as a shimmering spot began to appear. At one of the high windows of the mainroom the outline of a small girl could be seen. It seemed as though she was sitting on the window sill swinging her legs and clutching a small egg to her chest. The outline slowly got more solid, and other features could be seen.
Finally fully materializing, the girl must have been around ten. Small and slender with long dark hair and bright hazel eyes. Her white dress, a bit too big for her, seemed to flutter in a breeze that could not be felt. She hummed to the egg, rocking back and forth as if singing a lullaby to an infant.

Knoll raised his head to presence of another. It could only be felt until he saw the image of the small girl appear. His eyes shimmered from the rooms fireplace, just as deep orange as the flames that burned within the hearth. This girl, that had appeard, caught his attention now. A pretzel hung out of his lips, his tounge snaking out to slip it in to finish off. His ears perked up to to the melody. So sweet, as if angels singing could create the puffy white clouds in the atmosphere. The orange orbs began to wander lower being caught on the egg that shimmered in her arms. An egg? Why would such a girl carry such a delicate thing. His tail swayed side to side, watching intently from his spot upon the bar. He made no movements towards her. Only his eyes told his thoughts as he watched the strange occurance.

The night outside was still, motionless and soundless; a constant barrage of black and white, a movie of only fuzz. A figure stepped out along the path, his black hair tied back brought on a life of its own as the strands billowed in the serene night as if a wind had come blowing heavily across his body. His name was Adele and with him came a list, a list of those to die, of those to come past him; in and out of his judgment. He could see these souls; his eyes saw what no normal creatures saw. He saw death. No. He was death and at this very moment the eternal being of morbidity and decadence could easily turn back into the ashes upon which he had built his threshold of bones and sorrow. One girl, however, could tip the balance of his fate; one girl could be the difference between an eternity of maggot ridden dirt and the continuation of his one man business which dealt not in money but in souls. It was a pity that Alanna had to be his girl—He had watched her grow bigger, grow stronger, into a woman, and now he had to witness the fruit of his body become an enemy. At first she had been an irritation, an itchy bump on his hand but now the threat had grown into a sore, bleeding and filling with bitter puss. No, she was not an enemy that was to be taken lightly.
His steps fell silently among deaf ears as he drew nearer and nearer to the small Inn that rested upon land and sea. The sweet smell of the water and humidity flooded Adele’s senses, wrapped him in a blanket of false comfort. It played with his mind and he didn’t like the idea of becoming side tracked. Pulled from his dwellings far to the east, he wanted answers and had been told by a tooth-less sage that Alanna could be found here, at the foundation that stood defiant amongst the elements just meters from Adele’s grasp. He licked his cracked and dry lips before scratching his shadowed chin with a sharp and knarred digit. All in all his human skin was not a horrible one, it had its charms and its obvious lack of them.
The door opened silently, and a wave of cool air washed over the room as Adele sauntered in and closed it lightly behind him. The Inn seemed to be relatively empty with the exception of a young woman who lingered by the counter and another whom he had jsut seen out of the corner of his eyes, perching upon a window. 'what a motley bunch of miscreants' though Adele, obvious superiority was in his voice. Of course he would be suprior; they were nothing compared to him. In comparison, Adele stood at least a head or two higher than she, his 6’5 frame towered over most. He didn’t sense Alanna near and that bothered him…ah! There it was! The smell of her blood; the significant yellow glow of her soul—where was it coming from? A scratching and rustling noise could be heard from behind the counter where the color of her soul was emanating from… why was she on the floor? Adele strode over, glancing at the woman as he passed fleetingly. His eyes like golden embers burned past her bodily flesh and seemed to peer into her very core—that was something that came with his responsibilities.
Adele could see through to a person, into their past and future. He then looked away with a smug grin that was so typically stuck up of him and he flung his body over the counter. He landed on the floor with a loud and surprising thud that rang in his ears like bells on Christmas morning only to fill his core with rage moments later when he saw it was only her little pet. Adele saw him rummaging around the various spices and food stuffs behind the counter and out of anger he stamped down very close to his tail in anger, but his expression remained stony leaving only the coals of his eyes to show his infuriation.
“Tell me, how does one come across the illusive duo, these days? You know, it's very hard to find good company and Alanna is such an intelligent being to hold a conversaion with... ” commented Adele whose voice licked the air, flames that died slowly away to passionate icy undertones that chilled all who may listen. He crouched down low next to the animal and removed his foot and was now reaching out to grab it by the neck.

Her gentle expression and soft voice showed her extreme care for the egg even though it couldn't possibly be her own as she was what seemed to be a human girl.
Leaning back she let the moonlight wash over the egg which began to glow a light blue. Cracks ran through the shell and dark smoke issued out, so thick that it hid both girl and egg from view for a moment.
When the smoke cleared a thin dragon about the length of her arm twisted through the air. It was made completely of dark matter, looking like the night sky with small white specks in its' body.
Looking satisfied, she beckoned to the baby dragon. "Kuroi come come." she smiled to it and stroked it's tiny head with her finger when it floated over to her. "Welcome back."
From her actions it was obvious that she was an element user. Their companions tended to take the shape of a creature that represented the user.

The air grew stale in the bar and quick. It was as if someone had left out a loaf of bread the night before, just to come in and smell the scent of yeast, that just seemed to cling to everything. The orange scaled dragon mis minded it carrying on with his search of nurishments. It had been ages since he ate, and he was not fond of attacking other animals to survive. The stale scent seemed to get closer when a thud crashed behind near his tail. If he had hair, which dragons do not, it would be standing on ends from the chilling vibrations that stomp created. His eyes went wide and almost glazed over in fear of the reality that might lay behind him.
The voice spoke to him. It was him. He should have known by the taste of the air, but he was too preoccupied with hunger then to realize this danger. The man's voice dripped poison and weaved anger into his beating heart when Alanna's name was mentioned. The man who brings an end to all things, was of course a busy man. There would need to be some sort of important reason to see him in person, on such an unannounced visit of all things. Finally, Knoll moved to turn his head when his neck was grabbed at by him. He hissed, rearing back to dodge his chilling grasp, quickly scammpering up onto the sticky counter surface. His eyes narrowed into cat-like slits, his fangs beared at the deviant. "There is no death here.. Are you here for a family reuinion?" he mocked, snapping his jaws in an effort to create a type of intimidation. These two were never on good terms. Alanna's father had always looked down upon her for creating such a bond with an insolent creature. Still, Knoll stood strong his eyes burning with the hate that matched his growl.

Looking down she noticed some rucks below. Who was arguing at this hour? Peering at the situation she could see a rather large man talking with what seemed to be a dragon.
I wonder what sort of dragon he might be.... She thought to herself while Kuroi hid in her hair, resting around her neck like a piece of jewelry. Hearing the hissing and growling the dragon feared a fight, something it's newly formed body was not ready for. He had been formed in the safety of the mainroom for this reason.
Watching on the girl stroked the small dragon comfortingly. If she could, she would have sent it away just for safety, but because it was so young it had to stay with her so it could feed off her power for a little longer.
