"It was the same with my Grandmother. She was the one who would take me out. After she died, thankfully in a peaceful sleep, I couldn't stay inside. I was always out."

Makoto lowered her head.
"I lived in the mountains, just about everywhere was hilly."
She laughed at the word she made up, it just didn't sound proper.
"My whole village was burned to the ground by raiders trying to sneek into a major near by city just over the mountains. I...am the only survivor."
Makoto whiped her eyes with the sleeve of her kimono and looked back up at the sky hoping no one had seen her. It was still fresh in her mind even though she wanted so badly to push it back as far as she could.

Shagatsu folded his arms and leaned against the wall.
"I never knew my grandparents. I never even knew my father. I've only had my mother until she passed away... which is probably where I learned to talk to women so well." he said with a small smile..

Mizu shook her head sadly, forcing back tears. "My father was with my mother then too. They had left me with the kimono-maker, a friend of theirs...but...I couldn't stay. My dream was to become a geisha like my mother, and I couldn't just give up because my mother was there to tell me stories and teach me her dances. That's why I came here...to be a geisha."

look at us here, talking about our pasts. our pasts are our pasts. we need to learn to make peace with them so we can move forward. but that is for another time and place. Please, let me cheer you up! " Shagatsu stepped out into the road and pulled out a blindfold. He looked around to make sure no one was coming and put it over his eyes. He put his hands strait out in front of him. At the flick of his wrists, two knives appeared and flew into the air. He juggled them back and forth. Then out of nowhere, two more came, and again two more. Then they started disappearing, two by two. finally all Shagatsu had left juggling was two knives. He took the last two out of the air and swiftly undid the knot in his blindfold with them. Then, with another flick of his wirsts, they were gone. He let the blindfold fall onto the ground where nobody had noticed the knifes forming a picture.

"A Geisha had settled down in my tiny village, she would dance, and play alot, she just seemed to enjoy it so much but she was ready to have a family but yes, she'd still dance at events such as festivals."

Tora leaned against the wall of the tea house. Everyone had such sad stories.

"Sugoi!! Where did you learn to do such tricks Shagatsu-sama?" Mizu asked, surprised by the elegantly talented display.

"It's getting chilly. Let's go back in and get some warm tea and food. I'm quite hungry," Tora suggested.

"Hai, you're right Tora-chan...why don't I go get the tea and we'll ask Onee-sama if we can order something for the patron to eat? I'm sure we're out of sushi by now..." Mizu suggested as she rose smoothly to her feet, lightly dusting off her kimono.
