I just saw Star Wars late last night after work. It was a lot better than I expected. There are a few flaws that I saw in the movie like the script (some cheesy ones here and there, make that lots of cheesy ones). The graphics was also pretty bad. I think they're trying too hard on the CGI which makes some scenes a little choppy and some just boring. I was sitting in there thinking "How long did they take to do that one?" "How much did they spend just for those exploding effects?". I just thought they could have done better on those areas, maybe kick it down a couple of levels.
Other than the technical aspects of the movie, the story was better than I expected. The story behind Darth Vader is a little hard to understand (or hard to believe a jedi as strong as Annie would fall that easily, virtue-wise). Connecting the loose ends was really fun though. Why the twins are split up, why the Yoda and Kenobi are staying in very remote places, how Leia got her cupcake hair, etc...
I think it's worth the money to watch the movie just to see how the story went before the very first Star Wars movie. I hope you all get to see it on the big screen.

My boyfriend saw it on friday with his best friend - Star Wars that is.
I wasn't allowed to go with him, cos I talk through films and he wanted to enjoy it.
Still, he's taking me tomorrow to make up for it. I think it's a film that it's best to see with a large group of friends. Star Wars is an event.
Actually, I was banned cos I hate Anakin and Amidala drives me mental. How could someone with so little common sense run a planet?
