Sevilin merely shook his head. "If I catch you riding..." That was his one warning to her, and oh he would know if she was doing anything she wasn't supposed to do. Watching her leave and crossing his arms before looking back to Malik and raising an eyebrow. Zahara had mentiond something like that, but Arthur had interupped the conversation. "Do tell...what does that entail or even mean?"

Joy, she could spend her day redecorating the house...though maybe that wouldn't be so bad...let this place be a little more welcoming and what not. Okay, for once she was in agreement to Sevilin on something that Malik had to say now wasn't she? That earned a blink from her up at him. "Hasten? You mean like the flower thing?" Oh she remembered.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 27, 2006 5:32 pm

"Yes like the flower thing. It's oringal intention was for use on pregnent women."

then back to sevilin.

"Necromancy is the magics of life and death, as I'm sure your aware after all your studies. Some women have trouble carrying a child past a certain time, or have medical issues that can seriously complicate birthing. thus, necromancers and priests worked together, and found a necromatic method to in essence, hasten the growth rate of the child to be, thus making the length of pregnancy shorter. by about half normally, and it's normally done in small increments."

A small grin.

"So I can make her six left into three, adn Pipers twleve into six, over time."

His eyes wandered from Malik in the midst of his explaining, his mind going through the vault of necromantic information that he had turned a part of it in to, picking up on what he had read as written down in many a book. Thus once locating the information, more or less half listening to Malik, he returned his attention back to the blue skinned drow. "She mentioned that to me earlier...or tried to anyway. Are there any...side affects that are of any worry?"

Well look she learned something today. Though she perhaps didn't look as pleased with the information and then merely crossed her arms over her chest. "Don't think I'm going to let you cheat me out of six months of bonding time Malik D'vinn." After all, Zahara because of her nature and hte way she was raised may not be a naturally parent to child bonding creature, but Piper was a surface elf and she was. Wasn't going to get cheated of that either...unless as he said there was something horribly wrong and it needed to be done.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 27, 2006 6:29 pm

"I was mentioning it more for Zahara then for you, Piper. I know you don't want to lose even a second of time nurturing and bonding with your child to be. Zahara, on the other hand, may feel differently about the subject."

A slight shake of his head.

"You are only for emergencies."

"Good, I'm glad you understand that...and do try to not remind me about how Zahara feels about it. I'll open my big surface elf emotional attachment citing mouth and then we'll just be fighting again. I don't want or need that now do I?" Shaking her head lightly before giving a little sigh, leaning back in the chair, though one hand was still resting on Malik's.

Oh look, he was already focusing on his pregnant little surface elf. That was interesting in itself now wasn't it? Though he didn't dwell on it too long, merely cleared his throat at Malik to get his attention back. Hey this was important stuff to know. "As I asked...any possible side effects or risks I should know about?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 27, 2006 7:27 pm

"Sorry. the risks are mild. usually famished eatting habits, dehydration...moodiness. nothing overly serious. after all, the point is to preserve the bearer so they can bear again. and usually it pays well, so only those with influence normally had access to a necro willing and trained to do it. of course, one said necro crossed me the wrong way, and is now residing in Malvolence, thus I know how to do exactly what he did."

Zahara was fuming by the time she got outside to the stables. Between the look and his words she was ready to slap the irritating elf full across the face. But then she had acted childish when it came to the fight. But that was no excuse! She knew what her part of the deal was and she'd uphold it without his help dammit! Her gaze drifted over to the equipment in easy reach and she was so tempted but remembering that look of disappointment in his eyes caused a shudder and she decided it would be better if she didn't. Instead she spoiled Trissarem and her siblings with sugar and meted out her frustrations in a thoroughly relieving, wonderfully cleansing one-sided conversation with them. They had already been on their morning romp about the pasture so she couldn't even do that and she soon grew bored with even them. Sighing she thought about going back into the house and decided to take a walk instead. No cloak on but who cared, she'd be fine after all. Picking her way over the grounds she headed off to get out some of her frustration.

He scoffed. As if there wasn't plenty of some of that already with Zahara. The woman could be downright strange sometimes here lately. "So you don't really know how to do it, but you know how to do it. Your sword is indeed quite handy to you, isn't it? And what about the child?" He hardly believed that things would all be find and dandy, forced growth wasn't pleasent he was sure. And it was good to ask the source, seeing as Zahara may just get information and lie to him to get him to agree. It was quite obvious that she was quite sick of this.

"The child would be perfectly healthy and fine. basically, it's a lifetap and growth enhancment. we growth enhance the child, and use a lifetap on the parent to drain all the needed energies and bodily fluids. no harm to the child at all, or what woudl really be the use?"

A small smirk.

"I thought you woudl have rea dup on it once you saw it was possible. and yes, the sword is quite valuable. after so many years, some absorbed permenantly are embedded in my mind. so I know without needing Malvoelnce on me."

He had that considering look and what not, thinking on it. Maybe he'd let her do it if she wanted to get him out of her hair that badly and what not. She'd in fact probably jump at the opportunity. "I merely read, but didn't read specifically...just absorbed to reference later when it is mentioned is all. That's just how I do it...ever wonder how I get through books so fast?" Yup, that was how.

"Well...if you have no more need for me...then I suppose I'll tend to my own affairs. I have moving plans and such and what not. So speak now, or hold your tongue."

"My only use for you at present is experimentation on the blending of runics and necromancy in the hope of bypassing the problems of not being of sound body for advanced running. other than that, feel free to move to your hearts content."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 27, 2006 8:46 pm

"And I can do that in my own time free alone time, now can't I?" Not like he needed to borrow books or anything either, since it was quite easy for him to store it all in his head. "So then, I'll get right on that as I tend to my own affairs as well. D'vinns." Thus walking away from the pair, and heading on outside, pulling out his map and Nym was well from his tunic, where one was stashed and the other had been sleeping. "Wake up you, need you to keep an eyes on Zahara." Thu setting him on the ground so he could scamper off to the woman. After all, if she needed Sevilin, Nym knew how to get him.

"Well now that things better left undiscussed have been and all other sorts of things and now that I'm pregnant....I suppose you'll be going back to work to keep yourself busy." Because that's just what Malik did...and now that they didn't have to worry about the almost daily 'pregnant yet?' thing, well that meant less stress and more time to do whatever. Good lord she was going to have to really find some things to do.

She ambled along, kicking at various rocks and things to vent her frustration on the natural world. Anger at Sevilin was just one of the myriad of emotions running through her system and the current restlessness wasn't making matters any more bearable. Angrily she stalked her way over holes and dislodged roots and branches in her path, traps for the unwary. Many believed the Underdark had a mind and agenda of it's own, seeking to swallow up those who didn't belong beneath the dirt or those who had become too careless and no longer appreciative of the quality of life. Survival of the fittest was an understatement of the hundredth degree. She'd known when she had ventured out that there was a good chance she could end up fighting for her life and in fact perhaps that's why she'd gone so far, to engage in such a battle. Unfortunately it seemed to be eerily quiet and calm which did nothing to assuage the need to inflict pain and suffering. Standing in a copse of sickly trees, a rocky cliff to her right and what could only be classified as a stream to her left she began hurling her daggers at the heartiest of the trees, hissing her annoyance at the wood. With every chip and mark she made, she did feel a smidgen better but not enough to mollify her temper. She wanted to yell and scream or beat something half to death and it didn't much matter what it was.

Time passed though how much she wasn't quite sure. Her movements became mechanical, tossing the daggers, retrieving them, lining up for a different target and repeating the process all over again. Her mark was all over the copse as one tree just hadn't held up to her unmitigated assault. Eventually though, in the unpredictable pattern of pregancy she no longer wanted to be on her feet or hurling sharp, pointy objects. A bed sounded quite lovely at this moment in time though how that was going to happen when she was miles from the Fortress she wasn't quite sure. Her safest bet would be to climb a tree. At least no erstwhile monster would come along and decide she'd make a tasty snack. Scrambling up the first tree she'd attacked, she tested a branch to see if it would hold her weight and leaned back against the spindly trunk though she felt the branch give beneath her weight. With a groan she realized she'd have to find somewhere else to stay. How did she get herself into these situations anyway?

Shoving off the branch she dropped to the ground and began to prowl in earnest, avidly searching for some place she could use to recuperate. She wasn't in pain persay, she wasn't sick either, she just...felt strange, like lying down and taking reverie. These sudden flights of weariness and whatnot were seriously wearing on her nerves. The rocks to her right looked to be her greatest prospect right now and she slowly made her way towards them. Praising Eilistraee when she found a cave, she headed inside and after tossing some magic to convince any critters to find another home, at least for the time being, she lay down on the smoothest part of the cave's floor and sighed. A simple walk had turned into so much more in so little time. Her mind was tugging, insistent and she was forced to respond to it's call, letting herself fall into the trance like state, one dagger held protectively across her chest.

He of course has done as was asked of him, skittering off silently with not really much more of a noise at all. He followed her of course to keep an eye on her, watching as she went about maiming tress and what not for whatever reason she wanted to. He personally didn't understand it. But he was dutiful none the less, even trailed her as she made her way into that cave, watching her lay down and then he bounced over and curled himself up around her head to keep watch on things.

Zahara still wasn't having the best of reveries though the ones she was currently relving were not bad enough to make her cry or thrash about so she was relatively still while in the state, aware that Nym was there and touched, though she'd never admit, at either Sevilin's thought to send him or his own feelings to protect her. Eventually though she roused from her state and sat up, reaching behind her to scratch him behind the ears and rub the runed fur on his forehead gently. "Hello fuzzball, following me?"
