Sho: *He laughed happily, walking back over towards Eecheb* You got that right ^^ Truthfully, I cut it twenty times in a split second.... so there should be around twenty pieces right now. I'd say that's pretty good for speed 3nodding

Eecheb: o.o | You are fast!
*Eecheb seemed impressed by Sho's speed, so it was easy to see why he'd be a general. Thanatos had told the boy that one day he might be as strong too, so it was a goal to work towards, and Sho was just one mark he'd have to surpass. Though it was more probable the boy wouldn't out speed Sho, he could out muscle him. Truthfully, Eecheb might out muscle Sho now but that didn't really matter, speed was Sho's game and now the boy wanted to be on par*
Eecheb: o.o | How'd you get so fast?

Sho: *Sho would just smile at the compliment, as well as Eecheb's eagerness to learn, probably wanting to do the same* How'd I do it. Well, in one word, training. I practice all the time to make sure I stay up to where I am, then I push myself every so often so I can improve. If I do that frequently enough, I eventually get better. The rest is me thinking about how to best effectively move, since there are A LOT of things that can determine your performance ^^; There are a lot of things I did, but almost all of it I can attribute to training and learning.

Eecheb: o.o | Training and learning? What kinds of things did you learn?
*If Eecheb could find out what Sho, leanred to get so fast, then maybe he'd ask his mother to do a lesson or two so he could better learn about such things. It was rather smart of the lad to ask, and pick Sho's brain about things. The more he could learn the better, and the better of he'd be. Unfortunately with Nana in her current condition, it wasn't likely that there would be any lessons for quite a while*

Sho: *he nodded* Yep. Teaching myself. What'd I learn..... well that's a tough one. Kinda hard to explain ^^; *He huffed* Like I said, there are a lot of really small differences that can make a lot of difference in how you move and how strong your attack is. Basically, I first train my body through some sort of exercise or physical assertion. That way I get stronger and faster. For the thinking part, I actually think about how I'm doing what I do. Let me give you an example *Sho held out his arm straight, fist closed and perpendicular to the ground* Imagine I'm holding my sword. One way that I could swing would be flat horizontally, like this. *Sho moved his arm in an arc parallel to the ground, as if he were slashing side to side* But, after thinking about it, I figured maybe it would be more effective to move like this. *Sho tilted his hand about forty five degrees to the ground and moved it in a diagonal slashing motion* In some cases, slashing like that can do more damage because I'm able to put more force into my hit. So you see, I have to experiment with which form is best for me ^^

Eecheb: .__. | Ooooh~
*Eecheb was trying to digest the information as best he could. Doing something one way may not be as effective as doing so another. Experimentation of what works best for oneself when fighting. Eecheb would remember that, because sooner or later he was likely to start training himself aswell. He liked being strong, and the stronger the better. Pushing his limits to better himself would come at a cost like with all things, but hopefully nothing unfixable as it was sure to be physical stress and possibly several broken bones and torn muscle*

Sho: *He nodded* Yep. For my speed, the way I run makes a huge difference too. One other example. Most people would probably run something like this. *Sho would turn and jog/run in a small circle, being casual yet hastened* That works for just exercising and casual running, but for me going at the speed I need to be, it won't work. Truth is, when you run, the air tries to push you back and keep you from running. When I stand up straight, a lot of my body touches the air, so it can slow me down a lot. To make sure the air doesn't push on me as much, I have to lean down more, like this. *Sho would turn again and lean quite a bit further forward. Eecheb would probably notice that there wasn't much difference, but he was going quite a bit faster than with the jogging. Sho would stop by Eecheb again* By doing that I'm able to run faster. *Sho would actually get down in a push up position and let himself drop relatively close to the ground, holding himself up* At my fastest, sometimes I'll be this close to the ground ^^;

Eecheb: o.o | Don't you scratch the ground if you get too close?
*Another legitamate question to come from the boy, if Sho was so low to the ground at times, he'd potentially be open to anything low to the ground that could accitentally scratch his face. Even a simple plume of dirt could completely throw Sho off if it got in his face, and sometimes going so fast there was little time to avoid sucha thing, though Sho was probably skilled enough as it was to avoid such simple things. The boy just couldn't see how Sho could get that close to the ground and still be able to run, in his mind he just couldn't picture it*

Sho: Ah hah! *Sho said this enthusiastically getting up to a kneeling position* You're catching on quick. Yes, if I get too low I'll probably lose my balance and fall right into the ground. But, that's where the training comes in. I said that the air normally slows me down... but at high speeds that air resistance is still important. When I'm at the sort of angle to the ground I just showed you, that air isn't just pushing me back anymore. When I'm so close to the ground, the air is actually pushing me back very slightly and also pushing me up. So if I go really fast in that sort of low position, the air can actually help to keep me from falling into the ground. Interesting, huh? I'm going that low so that I can avoid air resistance and go faster, yet that same air resistance keeps me going ^^ But still, you're right. It can be extremely difficult to keep your balance at that kind of position. However, through training, I've tought myself how to keep my balance in that position, so I know how to run like that. You see how all the different things contribute to affecting how I run? 3nodding *This sort of lecture was probably quite a bit beyond what Eecheb should know at his age, but if Eecheb had been paying attention he should be able to grasp the concept of reducing the air resistance, maintaining balance, and training so that such balance can be attained*

Eecheb: .__.
*Eecheb stood and listened though most of it went over his head. Air pushing against the body to slow it down yet keep it up when you lean forward and run. It was a strange concept that the boy would probably try later on down the road, and he'd probably topple over several times in the proccess. Learning to balance when running fast would be a chore in itself, let alone having anything to do with less resistance from the air. The boy's wings flex a little, he was obviously in thought over what he was told, and was probably trying to work it down to an understandable level if that was possible*
Eecheb: .__. | Ok then.....

Sho: *scratching the back of his head, Sho blushed slightly* Oh.... sorry. I guess that was a bit much wasn't it ^^; If you don't understand something then you can probably ask your mom... or your brother even. Kid can be pretty headstrong but he's smart too. I'll bet he can at least help you understand it ^^; Again, sorry... I tend to rant a lot.... probably because it gets a bit lonely down at the south tower. sweatdrop

*Eecheb's tail, finally feeling better after a short rest starts to arc and slide around his torso until behind him again. It would sway back and forth as he listened, like a cat's tail would often do. Along with that, Eecheb's wings would twitch and flex a little more. Ranting was right, but Sho could be more assertive and visit people if he wanted, one such person he had been visiting a lot lately was Slayer and he was at the opposide end of the citadel, so why Sho couldn't stop in at the middle made no sense to the boy; Eecheb's tail would continue to sway, and occassionally whip slightly* Eecheb: confused Then why don't you come and talk to anyone? Then you wouldn't be lonely.

Sho: *He couldn't help but chuckle a bit nervously* Well I suppose you got me on that one. But anyway.... a good lot of the time I'm just training and what not, like I just told you. I suppose I'm not completely alone, since I often talk with the other generals and Slayer sweatdrop Let's just say that I'm not particularly close to my brother or your mother. Don't get me wrong. Mastema and I are good brothers that dont' fight, but we don't exactly have much in common unless we're talking about something that doesn't remotely relate to us. ^^; Than is never really around so I can't talk to him. Nana spends most of her time doing other things as well, so I don't bother her. I suppose it's just my nature to be a little reclusive... and the ranting comes of it ^^; Hmm... though I guess I could be a little more assertive.....

Eecheb: >.> | Ya, because we're outside all the time, so you can always talk to us.
*The "us" Eecheb was refering to was himself, Trilla, and Micha even if Micha didn't say anything, he still listened. Eecheb was right though, he and the others were always running about outside if they weren't asleep or in a lesson, so Sho did have at least three immediate choices if he wanted to talk. Finding them on the other hand might be a challenge, as each had their specific places they liked. If Sho could figure out where, then he'd have a better chance of running into one of them when they were out playing*
