Technically it's not an open beta, but if you're willing to put down five bucks at a local store you can get a beta key from GameStop. If you want I'm guessing you can immediately cancel it - I wouldn't recommend preordering from the website since you can't cancel your order.
You still get the key, but... yeah.

Nighthunter Ha, yeah I probably will do. Catching up on some Supernatural right now anyways, and probably play some WoW later. Just kinda worried even moving around or sitting down. Probably no reason to be, wasn't even told to take it easy. Go Uther. Transfer mang.

Haha, I would if I was on US servers. Though, I'd also transfer to US servers if I could.
And it is open beta. It was open as soon as they started the pre-order thing.

I really should go to Gamestop and do a pre-order.
@Rage: I liked StarCraft for the same reason, and it was why I liked WarCraft III even more. The mod capabilities of the map editor were simply amazing, and it seems they took that and went even further for StarCraft II.
It's just a shame that model editing software costs upwards of $3,000 dollars. Unless someone makes a specific 3rd party editor like they did for WCIII...but that's probably easier due to lower polygons.

Also, Happy Birthday Jay! :3

The latest Beta update apparently adds mapmaking tools for the eventual support of custom maps in a later... er... beta update. So once I get those downloaded I'm going to start messing around and see what I can come up with.
Because somehow I get the feeling that there are going to be a lot of "LURKER DEFENSE 2010" maps on the horizon.

Quote: Online Customers (web delivery): A code and instructions on how to join the beta will be emailed within 1 business day of when your order was placed. I might, Sin, if I can get the region change trick to work. =P

Well, I just placed an order for the collector's edition. Even if I don't get a beta key, it'll probably be my first collector's edition ever.
Though hopefully there are still more beta keys. >>

Tenkai: How did you order it? If it was in store, the beta key is on your receipt. If it was online they e-mail it to you, I think.
