I hope this movie is good, otherwise I'll feel dumb for cajoling people into going to see it.

Coraline. It was actually pretty good...I want to try to find the book, now.

It also had a trailer for 9, which I'm now ridiculously curious about. (Relatedly, the only other place I've heard the song in the trailer is while playing RockBand, and dang it, I loved hearing my boy sing it but I don't like the voice of the person actually singing it. Blah.)

I am so excited for Watchmen. I sincerely hope my dad gets tickets in advance. We're planning to see it opening day and I don't want to run the risk of it being sold out.

I'm with you Cassy, I'm so wanting to see Watchmen. Donno if I'd watch it opening night, but I'd certainly watch it some time in the first 3 weeks. emo

There's still the apprehensions that it'll be totally balls, because I wasn't a huge fan of the director's other stuff, and I'm not sure if they can put that much content into a movie's timeframe without losing the story along the way...

But the clips I've seen of it look promising, and I like a lot of the actors who are going to be in it (Particularly Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian. Good lord...when I found out about THAT ages ago I nearly died. <3) make me think it might actually be good. ;w;

First 20 minutes at least are good. If you want faithful, wait for the director's cut DVD. It's going to have the Black Freighter and Under the Hood portions spliced into it as well as The Squid, instead of the revised ending for the theatrical release.

Yeah, I read about the director's cut DVD and am very very very excited for that as well.

Arrrg...I can't remember the last time I was this enthusiastic for a movie's release. XD

Last time I was this enthusiastic for a movie's release was the Dark Knight but part of it was to see Ledger's last role.
This one I really know nothing about it other then some of the bio's of the characters.
But really this is the first comic made to movie that I recall that was rated R and really meant for adults only.
Sin City was more of a visual type movie, same with 300 in my opinion, they didn't really excite me as much as Watchmen is doing.

I wasn't that excited for TDK, but I did love it a lot when I saw it (and, going into it with no expectations for Ledger's performance, was thoroughly impressed with it).

I love Watchmen. I hadn't read it until after the movie was announced, but it wasn't the fact that there was going to be a movie that got me to read it (it was my sister) and I fell in love with it immediately. After reading it two or three times I started looking into movie information and my excitement has just been snowballing for ages.

DAMNITDAMNITDAMNIT. I lost my debit card again. D: And since I can't get to the bank to get a temporary card in the next couple of days, that means I have to keep the $20 my boy hid in my bag after I paid for our movie tickets last night. D: D: D:

Edit: Reddy's avatar is adorable. <3

Edit 2: and apparently I am going to have to find a place to live come June. ._. Landlord decided to sell this place. D:
