I was expecting a shadow step, and a shadow dance in there.
Usually, you would...
Use that CD that makes your target have two marks already on them. Before you start your initial burst.
Ambush, kidney shot, shadow dance, ambush, ambush, ambush.
They are usually dead by then. Unless you don't get a critical strike often.

Premeditation? Yeah. But that's not a cooldown. That's an every-fight thing since it has like a 30 second cooldown. Anything under a minute I wouldn't count, but 2 mins, 3 mins, 5 mins. Those are panic buttons. Shadow Dance I actually forgot about entirely. You get that at 70, right? I didn't do any PvP after 69 since I stopped playing at 76. It's a 3 minuter if I remember correctly though so I'd probably save it for if there were 2-3 people at once. 1v1 you shouldn't need any tricks to gank. You need to play hide and seek a little when engaging groups though and even trickier things depending on who you're fighting. Like this one time at band camp fighting a ranger in Alterac I forced him to chase me in circles around the pillar at the base of the bridge so that he wouldn't have line of sight to fire another shot at me until his 'cannot enter stealth' debuff wore off. Then he died. But he thought that he was the big man picking on a rogue from afar after I picked a warlock off the back of their front line. Matanago It sure is lvl 80 in here. Never been there, people tell me it's nice.

Hunter's are a whole different subject. Especially now that they have that nifty move "disengage". They launch back like... a whole bunch, so they can start kiting you again, and eventually kill you.
I rage when that s**t is going on. Unless you can kill them quickly, and keep them from gaining range... You are totally boned.

The Favored Sin Fiend you get your a** on MSN, before I make Crawley smack a 'ho. You aren't going to make me do anything. You can, however, submit a formal request for a 'ho smacking'. If accepted, said ho(s) will get smacked.

The Favored Sin Ambush, kidney shot, shadow dance, ambush, ambush, ambush. Also, this wouldn't work well. And the kidney shot is utterly pointless if you're using shadow dance so you just blew a cooldown move for no reason in that sequence. I mean, the dps is great with successive backstabs/ambushes but you don't have the energy for that (unless there's some T-whatever gear I don't know about) since Backstab/Ambush minimizes at 45 energy to use. Which means that you could do a kidney shot and then 2 backstabs before you're dry and waiting on a recharge. So it really gets to be a game of 'how much energy to I start the next step at' based on how much you need, much you'll get over the next few seconds, and how long you can stun them for before breaking it. If you try to rely entirely on damage moves you'll end up standing there the whole time being a punching bag while you wait for energy. Especially since thistle tea nerfs progressively the higher level you go (not that I ever used it anyway since I didn't know that and was saving them for when I needed it at low levels). Using gouge, cheap shot, and kidney shot aren't just about opening up for a backstab or keeping them from hitting you while you hit them. It's about buying time for energy regen. At least that's how -I- always did it and it seemed to work out pretty well.

The one rule I learned from World of Warcraft:
Your class is broken and has been nerfed into oblivion. That class you really hate is also broken and is severely overpowered.
Wulf: I think I'm gonna turn in soon. Gotta get a few more sketches out of my head then it's off to Slumberland™ (a subsidiary of Viacom) so I can wake up semi-refreshed for work tomorrow.

Well, that's more or less the name of the game for hunters. If they catch you in the open, you're dead. If they single you out at range, you're dead. If they sic their pet at you before you stealth, you're dead (because they still track you through stealth). If they get to move when you're stabbing them, you're pretty ******** thing for death knights really. If they find you before you ambush them, you're dead. Because you just get ripped into a meat grinder. [edit] Though I guess that's why they put in Cloak of Shadows. For Hunters, Mages, and other classes that try to root/stun/dot you in order to keep you away.
