Yeah, and then they bubble. Oh. Thought you were talking about Paladins. Though who am I to talk, I haven't played the game for well over two years.

Nighthunter Deathknights weren't that unbalanced. Dps wise. Their numbers are a bit high for a hybrid class, but overall they match other Dps classes. Except for AoE. For a 2 button spam cycle, they put out silly numbers. Now, their tanking/survivability is hilariously unbalanced. What's unbalanced about them is that depending on your talent spec they can either be one of the best DPS classes in the game, one of the best tanks in the game, or a plate-wearing mage. And in PvP the only class that Death Knights are weak against is anotehr spec of Death Knight.

Yeah, guess that's true enough. God I wish my mage had plate. >.> And haven't encountered them that much in PvP so can't really say. I tend to run the ******** away when I come across one on my mage.
Though, well geared warlocks can nuke them pretty good. But, that's putting one unbalanced mage against another.

Now you people are talking about something I can relate to.
I play Uther server. Paladin, and Rogue. Both over 5.7k GS, and pull almost 11k DPS.

I tend to run the ******** away when I come across one on my mage. Play one for a little bit and it becomes pretty apparent. If you just take a look at their talent specs, they're built to tank and either weapon dps or magic dps. They don't need shields since they can talent ridiculous parry with 2H weapons, their frost stance boosts their armor by 40%, if they talent blood then they can DPS and self-heal. If they talent unholy they can DPS and debuff. If they talent frost then they can DPS and crowd control. And in PvP, the majority of the death knights I encountered were using blood spec, since they would pull in squishier classes and rape them while eating self heals. A warrior cannot beat a death knight in 1v1 melee. Nor can any other class as far as I know, since the only a paladin would be able to survive very long but unless they're ret they wouldn't have the dps for actually killing the DK. At range... well, there is no at range with death knights. Which is why hilariously the best tactic to use against them is frost spec death knight, just using slows and root effects to keep an enemy out of melee range and blasting them with ridiculous amounts of burst damage.

I played 3 classes seriously during my time playing WoW: Rogue (ambush), Warrior (defensive), and Mage (arcane). I'd have played paladin too if I'd kept going because they seemed to be fun.
But I take things seriously when I play them. So I had a melee dps, a tank, and a ranged dps that were all very broken. And death knights are more broken than that by default.

Death Knights rock, before I quit (temporarily?) our guilds highest DPSer was a DK, and his levels were just ridiculous...

Taking on a DK with a Paladin is actually extremely easy. Especially if you are ret spec. First of all, as soon as the duel starts, or when you encounter one in PvP.
Pop Sacred Shield, this will keep them busy for awhile, burning it down isn't as easy as it seems. Repentance them. Pop Wings, and just beat 'em down.
Crusader Strike, Judgement, Divine Storm. Rinse and repeat. Throw in a hammer if needed.
Especially when wearing PvE armor. Such as t10. I prefer PvPing in this far more then Arena Gear. I don't have much res, but I can pull a s**t ton of burst damage. And when I crit with anything, my Divine Storm CD is reset.

Flightless Butterfly I would have thought Holy anything would work against them because they are undead. Perhaps, but for paladins, "Holy" basically means healer. "Priests in Platemail". It's the Retribution paladins (like me :3) that fight. Though I don't pull 11k dps like Sin does. ._. I can believe a rogue pulling in that much DPS, but a paladin? I dunno...I've not been in any raids lately so I cant see what the top Ret pally in my guild is capable of. I think with full raid buffs I can like...manage 6k DPS. Then again I'm still 5.1-5.2 in GS, and I got s**t that needs replacing.

I think it says something about the class as a whole when, as a rogue, I preference Paladins over Death Knights as potential targets for 1v1 ganking because it's more likely that I'll kill them. There's a certain point in the fight after about 20 seconds when it becomes a question of "will he die" or "should I leave because his self-healing is outdoing my DPS".
Never had that problem with paladins. Death Knights routinely caused me to give up and pick someone else.
