Gix only scoffed. "I am alive. Your narrow minded view of what constitutes life is your reason for your words. But. Nevermind that. I did not come here to debate the values of life. I came to deliver an important message to Aliator who I assume is leading the resistance against Yawgmoth. However, since he is not present and I have more urgent matters to attend to. You will get the message instead." he said quirking one eye in an odd fashion as he observed her.

"Ali is leading his people. Others are leading their own. Whether everyone will partner together to fight against Lord Yawgmoth or work independently is not yet determined." she said softly, still pouting and showing little interest despite clearly listening and responding to what he was saying. "Of course, I will accept your message, Praetor Gix."

"Very well then." he said taking a more official tone with things as he continued. "As you have no doubt guessed. Yawgmoth's absence has been due to extensive training on his part ever sinc your reply and your choice to not avoid war. This is to keep himself in peak condition for the upcoming fight. However, what happened we do not know. Approximately 43 hours ago a team of our people found him in a comatose state. Our priests worked extensively to repair what damage was done and we placed him in a sort of suspended animation to attempt to correct whatever the problem was. However our attempts were unsuccessful. 5 Hours ago Lord Yawgmoth's vital signs all dropped to zero. He is dead." Gix said firmly. "Now for the fun part. Just 3 hours ago when our priests went to retrieve the corpse in order to preserve him for a proper imperial burial, the corpse was gone. None of our sensors and none of our implants or anything we have at our disposal has been able to locate him. As you are no doubt aware it is very hard to lose track of him. He puts out a very...unique energy signature. We have searched this place, our home and every planet and planar gap in our empire. It is as if he has ceased to exist." Gix concluded simply waiting for a response before he continued with the official business.

Sitting up, she crossed one arm over her waist, cupping cheek with the other hand, now lightly tapping her own face instead of the counter top. Smiling brightly now, her fangs would show with her excitement of such a puzzle. "This is most unexpected. What is he up to, I wonder .." she said in a cheerful tone, nodding to him as if to say 'go on' if there was more to say, which she assumed there was .. his message being a bit open ended.

Gix returned the nod and continued. "Indeed. As Phyrexian Law dictates the Praetor is to assume command of the empire in the event of the death of the patron. It was decided by the imperial council as well as myself that the war on your grounds is no longer necessary. The gain is too small, there are not enough resources here to justify the loss of our soldiers. Our time is better spent killing larger planets with weaker opposition for more efficient gain. In other words, you got your wish. Only one had to die, the war will not occur. Our troops are being evacuated as we speak. The magic holding the undead to this world is breaking and they will return to being no more than lifeless piles of bones and corpses. Only one will remain. A friend of yours who has decided to stay here and keep an eye on you 'tiny creatures' he said. The same council has decided to allow this action until he is needed by the empire. I take it you will inform all parties of this matter?" he inquired, hoping that he wouldn't have to waste time going from place to place telling all the important people in the syndicate the same story. He had things to take care of, as she could no doubt guess without Yawgmoth around there would be much cleaning up to do in the empire. Gix's plate was more than full.

She smiled more, standing, finally showing him more respect in her posture instead of only words. Bowing gracefully, she looked to him with great admiration. "Much gratitude to you, Praetor Gix, for your decision, I am certain I speak for many when I say thank you." she said in a pleased tone. "I look forward to seeing Mr Titus again." she said with a giggle, watching him now to know if he would stay or go.

Gix returned the bow. "I hear he is looking forward to the same. If you'll excuse me, there are many arrangements that need making. I must be off." he said tapping his foot on the wooden floor. It only took a few moments but another rift opened in front of him and with a slight wave of his clawed metal hand the praetor stepped through the portal and the rift shut behind him.

"Farewell." she said softly, bobbing her head. Once he was gone, she returned to the bar seat, just as she had been before he got there, tapping her fingers, looking bored.

A voice then came from what sounded like...below her if anything. "We thought he'd never leave." it said. Rising up from the shadow that was cast by her very own body came Yawgmoth. Large patches of skin and muscle were missing places. Most noteably about 75% of his bottom jaw was missing skin and the bone shown through. Causing his teeth to be visible around the right side of his mouth. A large oval shaped chunk was missing from his left shoulder and several small patches were missing around his chest and back. Cracking his neck back and forth he sighed. The missing skin would hardly be the biggest change. The biggest change would be that she would feel...nothing from him. No dark aura, no energy not even any sign of life. "Ahh don't you worry though. Just because we're still....here" he said choosing his words carefully to avoid 'alive'. "Does not mean we intend to carry out anything. The empire's decision has already been made now hasn't it?" he said with a slight chuckle.

Arching a brow, she turned, looking to see Yawg, very surprised to see him at all let alone .. like this. "I do hope you take no offense .. however I must say you look dreadful. Would you do me the honor of explaining? More disturbing than your present state of appearance .. you do not even .. feel the same." she said softly as her words turned more from interest and dislike to genuine concern.

Yawgmoth only laughed and pat her her shoulder lightly. "There are times, when ever masters of their elements are at an end. Darkness is...very demanding. It can give you untold powers, but each time it does it wants something in return. We have become so enthralled and entwined with the element that we couldn't think of anything else to give but life. Ours. That is." he explained reaching his left hand out which was almost completely skeletal skill growing muscle fibers. He poured a drink and sighed. "In the end this has served two purposes. It has avoided a war that we had second guesses about after talking to you. And it had made us something akin to godlike. Not at the moment of course. We probably feel like we shouldn't exist or shouldn't be here. Because we're dead....sort of." he said drinking the glass down and starting again to attempt to explain. "Our unique biological structure combined with our super human abilities has made things so that we're essentially undead...but not. We're actually reviving. Slowly. This the appearance. In about a day or so we'll be back to normal and our systems will start functioning again. Right now we can't even breathe. Our lungs aren't working. We have no heartbeat and technically no electrical signals are being passed between the neurons in our brain. Like we said, the power of darkness bears great gifts. That's all we can say for how we're still talking to you even though we're technically a corpse." he shrugged as he finished and began to pour another drink. Why? Even he didn't know. It wasn't like he could taste it or like it was quenching any kind of thirst. It just felt normal.

Tilting her head, she watched as he drank and spoke, smiling once he finished. It would be now he would likely notice that she had fangs - not like those she had before, but like those he had seen before when Ali would smile. "Intriguing." was all she could say. There was nothing more she could say .. at all. What could she? How could she help him? There was surely no way. All he needed was a day or two, he said. And that .. she would give to him .. well, not give, but wait it out as he said.

Inclining her head to the one who entered, she smiled a bit. Blue eyes flecked with red watched him curiously though she said nothing.

Yawgmoth's crimson eyes which today lacked their usual shine and luster quirked when she smiled. "Yes, they are intriguing. What the hell have you been up to while we've been gone." he said pointing at her fangs. "You almost look like we do. Well.....we mean teeth wise." he said flashing a smile that shown all of his sharp ended teeth and larger canines. Manging to wink his eyes at her he continued with. "We'd let you bite us with those anytime."
