I thought you mentioned trying to be in a different weight category for fighting.
My mistake then, I apologize.
*hugs da Fiendish ninja*
*hugs da Panda too* I was talking to James, and he made me blush. You should see if you'd be able to meet us on a road trip or something, get your pale butt the hell off the east coast, and venture westard.
Take care of yourselves, and be safe. ttyl

Vintrict Lean muscles. I don't want that much weight on me. Even then, my metabolism probably won't care and just consume my calories fast. If anything, I just need to eat more, which is kinda hard on a college budget. At least I eat healthy. If you have enough meat on you already then it wouldn't be about eating a lot at all. You'd just need to work out and eat the right kind of foods, but you'd probably have to work out in such a way that you don't bulk up.

I dunno...I'm not at the point where I meet my friends on the internet. ._. I don't know why, but don't worry about it. Besides, even if I wasn't like that, I'm needed at home. Mom may be okay and my grandma's tough as nails, but I have to be there for them. Wait...which James? o.o Also, I hope olive oil tastes good drank straight. ._. *waves* byebye :3

@Vin: I'm guessing the weight class change is what Flutter thought you meant, Vin.
Then again, that does raise a few thoughts. Are you getting into competetive stuff, Vin? Do you train in any particular style?

Not yet. I haven't started any classes in anything. But I do plan to do some Jeet Kune Do stuff, with some TKD and Shaolin on the side.

Vintrict Not yet. I haven't started any classes in anything. But I do plan to do some Jeet Kune Do stuff, with some TKD and Shaolin on the side. Sounds interesting. What I like about Jeet Kune Do was basically Bruce's philosophy. It isn't a style or a school, but a "way". It's Bruce Lee's way, which is why it was called Jun Fan Kung Fu. He took what he learned and combined it in such a way that worked for his body and mindset. Taking a martial art and sculpting your body in such a way that it makes the art more effective is like...and this will sound stupid...putting on gear with the proper stats for a class in an RPG. If I ever get the time, money and willpower to get back into studying martial arts, and in a school setting for that matter, I would definitely like to find some sort of school of kenjutsu/iaijutsu, especially the kind involving tameshigiri. Or even not. Though I'm sure the odds of finding a legitimate Yagyu Shinkage-ryu school in this city might not be very high. ._. I'd have to like...go to Japan, and...you know....become Japanese.

Also, I love what that guy in your sig is doing, Fiend. >> Makes me feel all " Musou Tensei"-ish. Good cheese is good. :3 Even though those kinds of movements aren't always for cheese.

I KNOW that, Tenkai.
The problem is, I can't develop anything in MY way until I get a foundation first to base things on. I can't just make a martial art from scratch, like how the guy who watched a Praying Mantis and made his own style. I'm pretty sure he learned some basic Shaolin stuff first. And the guys who learned Shaolin simply from watching it and took it to Southern China, they also at least had SOMEONE to watch, though they were banned from study sessions. They were basically servants.
See, this sucks. Unless I have money, I can't learn a thing. Right? That's what society says. You can't just up and learn anything without a teacher. mad

If anything, I just need to eat more, which is kinda hard on a college budget. At least I eat healthy. There's no other kind of muscle. Muscle is muscle. I laugh when people talk about "lean" and "bulky" muscle. It takes YEARS (or roids.. and then a lot of time) to get to where you're considered "bulky" or massive. Most people could never do it, for lack of proper genetics, dedication, and food required to build THAT massive amount of muscle tissue onto your body. All you need to do is build yourself up to the point that's considered acceptable to your weight class. You will never become large or "bulky" unless you train - and EAT - to put on more mass. And even that's not a guarantee. Plenty of people pound down thousands of calories and hit the gym without ever getting big. EDIT:: Also, olive oil IS nasty. Downright ******** awful, unless you're cooking with it or using it to dress noodles with another sauce. Alternately, you can do a fruit detox, which is considerably more tasty.
