*Eecheb would continue to stomp along for several minutes, until he was out of sight from the base of the tower. After that the tone of his steps lightened some, he was alone and wanted to stay that way for now. Eecheb wasn't even sure he wanted to practice anymore, he seemed put off by the attacker. More than likely the boy was just going to aimlessly wander around now, and maybe break a few things while he was at it too*

Eecheb: stare .....stupid annoying people, outside. They should leave us alone...

*It had been another fourty minutes now, and Micha had little under a half mile left to go. He would be home soon enough, and would hopefully see the barrier. The small gift Orias had given to him was illuminating a small area around the boy, enough for him to see a few feet. Most noticably Micha no longer had the luggage with him. It was possible he had lost it in the dark and was unable to find it again, in which case if it ever became light again then it could be found, if one wanted to find it. All Micha had on him now was one small piece of paper, and it had something other than an eight on it*

Micha: . . .

*Micha would certainly be able to see the barrier off in the distance; however, he wouldn't be in its illuminating range just yet*

*As it was, Mastema didn't seem to have sent any repercussions to Orias, so perhaps the demon was safe*

*Than was riding the elevator back to his room for the moment. He was going to relax and probably do some reading for a little bit*

*It would take Micha another twenty minutes at the pace he was walking at, before he was finally within the barrier's glow again. At one hundred feet, the very edge of light, Micha would stop for a moment and blink. He had success in navigating the darkness, the small charm around the boy's neck would go out, and he'd stare down at the small paper in his hand. After three minutes of concentration on the piece, Micha would again look up and start heading toward the barrier. Micha's condition wasn't yet fully known, but since he could walk then the boy was probably just fine. It would take him about two minutes to reach the barrier at his pace, he'd pass his mother's sign once half way home*

*Than was now in his room reading a relatively large book. Even knowing Than's nature one would be surprised, most likely, to find him reading such a book, The Book of Genesis*

*Mastema would no doubt be awaiting Micha's return. He didn't so much care that Micha had left as to the possible consequences of his leaving. There were many things that could have happened, and even though such things had not occurred, Mastema was still cross with Micha. It was questionable, however, whether Mastema really cared about the fate of Micha himself. If such a misfortune as death or otherwise were to befall Micha, Mastema was so powerful with telepathy that he could have made everyone else in the citadel believe Micha was still walking among them and they would have been none the wiser*

*Micha finally reaches the barrier wall, if Zio left the child outside it would be understandable given the circumstances. Then if Zio opened the barrier to the child, he would be faced with his fate inside. It probably wasn't going to be a gentle punishment, but Micha must have suspected some sort of punishment would come his way. Though it was possible the boy didn't expect anymore then several days in his room again, and that was probably what would happen, though not simply because he was told to stay there. The darkness provided an odd warmth around Micha, and his shadow seemed to strech long in the barrier's glow. The boy seemed oddly at ease when he shouldn't, he waits to see whether he is still welcome in the place he knew as home*

Micha: . . .

*The barrier would open for Micha, but no screen of Zio would greet him. For the moment, it didn't seem Micha would be getting any personal greetings*

*Micha would begin forward but stop just before stepping inside, was he waiting for something? The boy would look left then right, as a child is told to do when crossing the street. After another few seconds he would wander in with his shadow trailing closely behind. Once inside the barrier the lighting was different, and so the boy's shadow changed directions, he would look off to the distant central tower, then look at his paper again. Upon this paper was a zero, his hope coming. It was a pity no one would really understand the message. Those who had found their eight slips earlier on probably couldn't comprehend the message then and probably not now. They would understand it even less if the boy left a zero at their doors now aswell. But all that said, Micha just wanted to go back to the central tower now, and so he was one step at a time. The winding streets as always, would take some time to navigate*

*Micha would take one silent step after the other, no doubt. For the first while it seemed he would go uninterrupted. Soon after passing a sidewalk water duct, a blood-like substance would leap from behind Micha and seize him by the wings. Micha's wings were probably weak from lack of movement, so it would only serve to cause more pain to the boy when the amorphish substance yanked Micha towards the wall of the building with surprising force and speed. Micha's back would be smacked against the wall with disregard for the position of his wings. The substance would then gather in front of him and morph into the one Micha knew to be "father."* So you return at last..... Where have you been...... *Mastema wasn't going to waste time in first questioning the boy before giving him the rest of his sentence*

*There was no doubt the boy had been startled by the initial grab, but he didn't put up any resistance either, maybe because of the shock of being so suddenly grabbed. Micha's wings were luckily plush back when they hit the wall, but it was still probably quite painful. His body bounced slightly after hitting the wall, including his head which causes Micha's face to make a slight wince, which probably involved all the pain he felt thus far. The slip of paper had been dropped in the inicial grab, it probably didn't matter how it landed, no one would see it now. Mastema already knew it was pointless in trying to ask the boy a question since he knew his son wouldn't answer. Still, he would probably try to get an answer somehow, sometime later but for now it was time for Micha's punishment*

Micha: . . . !?

*Mastema was not so negligent as to miss the fact that Micha was holding a sheet of paper. Turning around and snatching up the paper, Mastema would observe the large zero placed on it. Being as he was, Mastema quickly came to a deduction of what it would mean*....arrogant little juvenile, are we? I have no patience for that at this time. *Mastema dropped the paper and turned back to Micha, instantly backhanding the boy, striking his left cheek* You estimate the time you will be gone but give no effort to communicate your meaning. Micha... you have yet to learn just what you are and are not able to do. All of these facilities have been made so that you may live. Your brother has even gone to the extent of creating a system which will allow you to use your learned sign language with Zio.... and you show not a shred of gratitude.... not even a rejection! *Micha would be lifted telekinetically to about Mastema's chest level. Before even finishing the lift, Mastema's boot would be sailing at Micha's chest with a bone crunching speed. Upon impact, the boot would probably cause intense pain in Micha's chest, further by the fact that Mastema was focusing the force into his heel, and make breathing into a chore. Micha would be suspended above ground*

*The eight had been an estimate indeed, but communication wasn't Micha's strong suit. That alone was what had condemeb him this night, or day, you still couldn't tell with the blanket of darkness outside. When struck, Micha's eyes had closed and once open again the boy lightly shook off the strike. There was a burn in his cheek, and he had jolted when struck aswell at least half a foot. Mastema was correct however, Micha did have to learn what he could and could not do, but that would take time. For now the child only knew a fraction of what he would by the time he was a full year old. He was still a child however, and hopefully this beating wouldn't damage his phyche too much, there was no need for him to hold a grudge against Mastema afterall. Micha was certainly getting a lecture though; his first and only message of sorts had been to Thanatos so far and that was when he drew the eight on his palm. Otherwise pointing to the west when Nana was taken away was the only communication the boy had ever tried to do. He had even brough the sign language books with him, when he left, perhaps to brush up on it while gone? It was true that the boy had also not properly thanked Thanatos for his work, in making a program for Zio to be able to understand him, he seemed to have trouble with that aswell. Micha was surprised to be lifted up by Mastema's telekinesis, he knew that little things like moving piano keys could be done, but he hadn't been aware that Mastema could also lift people with the power. Micha would be so surprised at all that Mastema could do, of that there was no doubt. It was a wonder what was probably going through Micha's mind until Mastema's boot put a quick end to anything he may have been thinking. The boy didn't even have time to do a thing, and had the air completely knocked out of him. Again Micha had closed his eyes at the moment he was struck and it was possible that Mastema might have proken something. Striking the wall again, the same that had happened he first time would happen again. The boy's head and body would briefly bounce, but this time Mastema's boot was keeping the boy stuck to the wall. If Micha was trying to breath again, then the action was hard to detect. For the moment it seemed he was suffering a light concusion and clear disorientation. Several meters back, a loud "thud", and maybe a "clap" of something falling would be heard. Mastema hadn't hit the boy with that much force had he? Only if Mastema were to look would he find out what made the sound, and that was only if he cared to know*

Micha: ..............................
PostPosted: Mon Sep 05, 2005 9:56 pm

*Though Micha showed no obvious signs of pain, Mastema knew what the boy must've been experiencing. If Mastema had broken any bones, there was no guarantee that wasn't his goal* Oh I will not exhault the full extent of my anger, for your actions, upon you, Micha, nor will I do anything of the sort to end your life, which I could easily do I remind you. Also, know this. I do not take distinct pleasure in tormenting you, my son. But I will not spare you the true severity of the consequences of your transgression. *Mastema would be using any telepathy at this point to make sure that Micha was able to hear him clearly* and I apologize now... for I am not as forgiving as your mother. *Mastema's boot would be brought away and instead replaced by the iron grip of Mastema's palm. While the palm still held Micha against the wall, Mastema's fingers would tightly grab onto the form of Micha's ribs. Digging his fingers in almost enough to pierce right through skin, Mastema would twist his hand. He was going to potentially fracture Micha's entire rib cage with this maneuver*

Tyrsais

::Tyrsais had keen sense enough to have sensed something strange from Micha's area a time ago, and an even more strange aura in the direction had gained his attention. He was moving toward the area at a fair pace, and likely Mastema, and Micha both would sense him. Seeing as the children were fairly attuned to the world around them::
PostPosted: Mon Sep 05, 2005 10:10 pm

*It was likely too much for the child to bare, for so full of life as he had been moments before, his body went completely slack now. He didn't even twitch any, and his eyes had glazed over, with Mastema so tauntly twitsting the boy's ribcage it was hard to tell if he was even breathing anymore due to what pressures and possible punctures his lungs might be receiving, aswell as other inner organs. The air however seemed more lively, as the sound of a single drum beat is heard, and then another, and another and so on. They seemed to be randomly placed when the sounds occured, but they were close, very close to where Mastema and Micha were and very loud*

*After a good ten solid seconds of this twisting, Mastema would stop. No doubt all of Micha's ribs had at least some fracture of varying severity. Still, Mastema made sure that his words reached Micha's mind* You believe I am being harsh, Micha? I do not deny the pain you feel is great.... but understand this. Had you been captured by one of my enemies, or perhaps even an unknown being, you could have easily suffered a fate far worse.... *Releasing his grip, Micha would slowly float to the ground, no doubt sitting because of his injuries. Micha would have several fractured ribs, a badly bruised chest by the boot, some marks and bruises where Mastema had grabbed him, and probably a headache to top it off. With Micha down on the ground, Mastema turned to locate the source of the noise, knowing Tyr was on his way*
