has anyone ever used a aethism or agnocisim as defence against the deus exes and people claiming to be a god? or simply that the god the believe in has more power than their god and the opponent's belifs on spirituality and the mechanics of the universe are absolutely wrong?

Psychofish But I dunno, I'd have to dig through, probably. My head is too foggy now, maybe at a decent hour I can give it to you. We already covered one thing we decided he wasn't DQ'ed for but would be in the future a while back... I ruled on that one that he had one post to get his partition back inside the ring or I'd waste him. Which is why he didn't get to go buy himself a hotdog. Impact did that in Gamma vs. Cziri the Lost. Cziri bitched for pages in the OOC, remember?

Yes. To an extent. Impact's Gammu and Fenrir's Gamma cannot be affected by non-physically-manifested magics because they are from some plane where they don't exist/they dont' believe in magic/something. I'm not too clear on the details of it, but he's explained it several times to people, and I've seen at least a few of those times. Edit: *Master of the Late Post*

Mayan... I mean, what's the deal with these people and their gods. It's all like "I'm the god of this, he's the god of that, we're both avatars of owns-your-a**, and by the way I contain within my body a fragment of divine creation, from which the world was made in seven days".
Nobody's like... a kid with a stick.
I mean, in O/M the first round I had a guy with a sword who got pitted against the Juggernaut, b***h. I kept slicing pieces off and they'd keep regrowing instantly, up until I stabbed him in the chest and broke the damn thing off... at which point he goes "I start on fire when you touch me and burn you to ash immediately".
...that was Tac again, BTW.

I have never actually HAD to do this, but I had planned on it at some point. My defense is basically if they're trying to force me to adhere to their beliefs, I do not, and their extraplanar attacks or whatever simply do not exist to, and therefore do not effect, me.

Anonymooo My guy punches things. Seeing people actually playing Gods of Time and whatnot kind of makes me sad. sad Yes. It is disheartening. And this reminds me of Kalis. Though he presently has one ability which is very destructive, but limited to a tiny space (as in he might as well be manifesting a 'blade' of energy). And it ******** him up pretty bad using it. And messes him up some even if he doesn't use it. I'm currently rp'ing him somewhere, where he spent a good full sized posts dressing wounds that came from this thing being in him, without him using it. No outside sources contributing either.

Whatever happened to the "OH s**t THIS IS GONNA HURT-" supermoves? Everyone's always like "I can do this and completely rape you with no adverse effects whatsoever other than 'severe' energy drain that I won't even take notice of and will continue to spam things like there's no tomorrow."
When you pull something huge there should be backlash effects. ******** you up, man, ******** you up hard. Even if you miss. That's why it's called a 'desperation' move, a 'last resort', or a 'gamble'. Because you're not supposed to be able to yawn, point, and unleash hell at a whim without it costing you something.

Just Athan makes a big a** blade of it then passes out, Kalis uses a little knife of it and his arm breaks out in blisters and rashes then begins to split and bleed, and other nasty things, in a matter of seconds. As in under five.

I had the displeasure of playing with Torment Nauradai rolleyes Round 1 of O/M I had: Hikaru Kaikou vs. Sebastian Craven Kenji Ichibannori vs. Qwy of the House For'ma Round 2 of O/M my opponent made one post and disappeared. Round 3 of O/M I have: Hikaru Kaikou vs. Qwy of the House For'ma. I get to fight the Juggernaut again. WHEE. stare So now, instead of going all-out and snapping off a sword in his chest in an attempt to cleave him in half before he has a chance to regenerate from the wound, I'm going to get to stand back and poke him with arrows while he ignores them entirely.
