Did Malik have to know about everything he does? Arthur sighed lightly as he crossed his arms and rested them against his chest. "I didn't let any of it go when I was having sex with them, that's what I meant with 'I took care of it' so none of them wont get pregnant by me so don't worry." Though he let that topic go when Malik went on about his skills only being human, god damn this man had to bug him about everything! But if it's for the best then it's for the best, but there are times when Arthur wished he never came to this fortress; he just had to face the music as his parents use to say. "Fine." was all he replied with, there was no need for him to get all touchy about it.

"that's not what I reffered to. what I ment was what were you doing about learning your magic. must I spell it out to you all the time? adn I'm of course not interested in that with my slaves. like I said, offspring are mine, so all you do by reproducing is giving me more stock. And since your in agreement. we'll start right away. down to the arena with you..oh and one more thing."

Malik reached out, and drew the katana from it's sheath.

"This will stay with me, as collateral. I have another blade you can learn with. if you show yourself to be applying, I will give this back to you. and if your really good, I'll let you have it today."

Try and take it. Go ahead..show some spine.

He of course had been happy to leave her alone and let her get some reverie while he continued in what he was doing earlier, finishing up the task easy enough...but that of course left him with nothing to do once again seeing as he didn't like to read things twice over, or more for that matter.

Though after about enough of her fidgeting and the noises she had his attention again and he had took to watching her, wondering what could of been so bad that she would have reveries like that. He knew he had plenty like that, but he'd never known a Llothian woman, former or otherwise, to have reveries that caused her to react badly. Perhaps in a way he was oddly fascinated.

"Then next time be more specific with your question then I wouldn't answer like that." No Arthur wasn't trying to be snippy with Malik he was just stating the fact about it, it was no big deal. "But yes Sevilin and me came to a sort of agreement with my magic training that's all." there straight to the point and no need to ask anymore questions about it, which Arthur was hoping for so they could move on. But he was a bit pissed off, he wanted to check up on a few things at the library before he started his training with Sevilin; he didn't want to do anything that resulted physical training right now; and what's worse he had to take it from Malik. Though he was taken by surprise when Malik reached out and grabbed his katana, telling him he can't use it that he must train with another blade; okay Arthur was trying to be nice to Malik, you know listen to what he says and all but when he took his sword that was a big no-no. "Give that back now." He muttered through clenched teeth and moved so he could quickly grab it from Malik's hands.

Completely unaware of her audience as she was lost in the memories that were trying to make her relive things she'd much rather not, Zahara was not having a good time of it, still fidgeting and still making those same noises. When things got particularly bad at one point she yelled out, "Alysinn! Please..." Her fists clenched tightly and she once again began to roll, hitting the floor but still deep in reverie, not even aware she'd moved. Everything about her posture was defensive and she even lashed out and hit and/or kicked the couch a few times unknowingly. "Help..." Then she made what almost sounded like a scream, shaking her head. "ALYSINN!"

A smirk, easily moving out of the way and giving Arthur and boot forward too.

"No. you want it, you can try and take it. Or even better..."

Malik tossed over Ebony after him, and took a more defensive stance, holding the blade in front.

"See if you can defend yourself from your own sword. You get it from me, disarming or otherwise, and you can have it back. show some spine, and fight for what you want."

Arthur quickly moved forward to grab his katana but noticed how Malik easily side stepped him letting the young elf to go in the same direction; but not without a nice push from the back. Arthur landed with a light grunt from his lips and quickly turn around with a glare in his eye, how dare that drow touch his sword! Quickly he got up on his feet and was ready to jump at Malik again but by then the drow tossed his own sword Ebony at him. the elf caught it before it could drop to the floor and got ready to attack Malik as the man held Arthur's katana out in front of him in a defensive pose. "Fine then I will." And with that Arthur charged Malik, there was no battle cry since the mood didn't need one at all; and as he approached the blue skin drow Arthur made a quick vertical slash and brought ebony down with as much force as he could give.

And he watched it go from bad to worse. Hm, wasn't that interesting. Though he wasn't one to wake anyone from reverie because it was a stupid thing to do. Something about it being determental or what not to the mind or something or other. He wouldn't know because he'd been yanked out of a lot but couldn't tell if his own mental damage was from that or not. Who knew.

But at her little bout of acting out and thus the screaming and rather defensive posture, he figured that it was just better to give her the jolt. Thus getting up, he implored his runics to hold her still, he wasn't going to risk getting hit after all, and moved to her, kneeling down and placing two fingers to her forehead with a bit of magic to give her a mental jolt of sorts, good thing elves were mental creatures of sorts.

That mental jolt was enough to knock her right out and she opened her eyes and stared right at him. They betrayed everything and for a few minutes there was geniune fear in them. She closed them slowly, then tried to move. Freaking out moreso now, she clenched her jaw and forced herself to focus and tried to override the rune then slumped in defeat and closed her eyes once again. She'd been reliving one of her worst memories of her old life and apparently she'd done what she always did and became vocal about it. Slowly she opened her eyes once again, letting them travel up the fabric to the face and blinking at him. "S-sevilin...? Let me move..." Not who she'd been expecting but surprisingly she was very glad to see him.

He watched her a moment, blinking in almost confused fashion he took in the emotion that lay in her eyes. What was that? He wasn't quite sure what to think, he'd never seen that look in a drow woman's eyes. But yet he knew what it was for he had seen it in the eyes of many others. Perplexing indeed.

But he pulled his hand from her and a wave of it dismissied runes, as he slipped a hand under her back and helped her sit up some from where she was. Hm, well this was odd for him. Was he supposed to be feeling some kind of concern or would she resent that? Yes uncertainty seemed to be the lifeblood of the moment.

She was taking deep breaths to keep calm. Helping her sit up, she realized she had movement of her own limbs again and she wrapped her arms around her knees for a moment and buried her head in them. A shudder racked her body and finally she made a move she wasn't sure was a good idea but she knew she needed it. Twisting herself a bit she moved so she was sitting next to Sevilin on the floor. Then oh so slowly she let her body fall towards his, resting her head on his shoulder, turning it once so her entire face was buried in the crevice between his shoulder and his neck. Ah the smell of leather, mythril and man, it was comforting in ways it should never be. She wasn't sure what to say, how to ask for the comfort she needed so desperately or how he would react to her, she just knew she needed it and this was the best way in her mind to go about getting it. Her breathing was slowing down and there was not a single trace of the earlier terror in her eyes when she met his gaze again before transferring her head to his lap the way she'd wanted to on the couch. Her fingers held onto his pants and she rubbed her cheek against the fabric of his pants, taking comfort in familiar fabrics and scents.

Okay...still confused...what was once there was suddenly gone. Perhaps he had merely imagined that look there or something. But then he blinked as she moved and took to more or less leaning agaisnt him. He knew that gesture well and its implications. Though he merely watched as she changed positon again, resting her head in his lap, hands resting on the fabric of his pants. Normally...that would make him go into defensive mode, but there was something rather innocent about it.

Gently he laid a hand to her shoulder and ran it down her arm to her elbow and back up, reapeating the gesture a few times in comfort before he pushed her up and then got up himself, picking her up as well and relocating them both to the couch, sitting down with her in his lap, just keeping his arm around her. She was seeling comfort and he was giving it to her, just as she had indulged him before. What happened between them stayed between them anyway.

She was still scared though the fear was quickly fading knowing that her reverie was just that and Sevilin was close by. She let him touch her, closing her eyes as his hand rubbed her arm comfortingly. She snuggled deeper down and then was moved. For a moment she thought he was going to push her away, that she'd triggered one of his more paranoid spots what with her head placement and her fingers clutching for fabric that was barely on as it was. But no instead he held her, just what she needed at this moment and she once again laid her head against him though this time it was his chest. "I'm sorry..."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 18, 2006 11:34 pm

He was quiet, not really needing to say anything at the moment, though his ears did cause him to look down at her. Seemed the feeling of giving her what she needed at the moment overrode his paranoia...or perhaps he merely was more calm because of her fragile state of being, knowing she really wasn't in the condition to do him much bodily harm and he could do her a lot if he chose to.

"Returning the gesture...you did it for me after all..." Though last he knew, they didn't talk about it. But there was the difference, before when she wanted him to talk, he wasn't asking her a single thing, merely letting her be as quiet as she wanted to be.

In her current state she'd forgotten about the night when she'd held him and let him take comfort from her. Now he was returning the gesture and she was just glad he was. She needed someone right now, needed someone and wanted it to be him more than she was willing to admit. But he'd come through for her when she needed him most and that meant a lot. "Well, even so, thank you so very much." She remained there, pressed against him for a long time, more time than she cared to count or think about. It felt nice all leaned up against him and his arm around her trying to comfort her. She didn't want to lose the feeling just yet but reverie was calling her back. "I don't want to..." she looked up at him and her eyes were once again filled with fear. "No reverie!"
