Most Americans don't know what French cuisine is because it isn't served as such.
You don't see a lot of "French" restaurants.
Just like most people can't tell the difference between the cuisines of most Asiatic countries when they get mashed together all the damn time. You can't expect people to appreciate something they never see, or, worse, see and are never told what it is.

Why not go to one of the top rated ones? I figure you're picking those because they're where your friends live, but they're also low on the list of the best.
If I remember correctly for the Cordon Bleu schools, the one in Vegas is the top rated.

It's a fat cat. That flies. And is apparently worth 1 million gold. But instead of getting that I got a 1k cat tail item. Because the fat flying cat that was on my screen was a grab bag that did not contain a fat flying cat. This makes no sense. It's like when you kill something in an MMO and it drops a "animal carcass". Are you getting a corpse out of the corpse? Conversely, how am I NOT getting a cat out of this cat?

I got like.. a friggin' pair of cat ears.
Should have just sold the actual little grab bag, apparently it goes for more.

I really hate it when they jam all the Asian foods together under some "Chinese" label; especially when sushi (if you can call what they serve "sushi") is served at Chinese restaurants.

Yes, well that so called culinary fashion trend has been around for quite a bit of time and is the basis for almost EVERYTHING that we know about consistent cooking/baking.
Moxie: I went to Portland. It's a real foodie city. I got to try and play with so many different things that I never had before, and I was just in the baking program. But as far as looking at the best ones in the Le Cordon Bleu system...
Probably Vegas.Or Maybe Seattle. Portland is good, but they've been declining due to politics with chefs and the president in the past few years.

If I remember correctly for the Cordon Bleu schools, the one in Vegas is the top rated. They're just places I want to go. I don't actually know anyone in L.A., they mostly live father up north, and no one at all in Chicago either. Seattle is interesting too. I didn't think to check a toplist though. <.< I'll look for that. @Kat: Lame, politics. I want to get in a baking/pastries program. Since I didn't get accepted at a local school because of grade records issues and can't reapply before a whole year, I figured I'd go all out. I know Cordon Bleu starts new classes pretty often too.

When I got that stupid flying cat thing, it was worth maybe 15k on the marketplace, and I figured it was some weird event item, so I used it.
Got a blue/black cat jumpsuit... thing.
