Dampylle Shadowfire anyone have any feelings on the newly passed law in California about the sale of violent games? I'm a bit pissed off. It's a ******** double standard. Movies, which make up a large part of the Governator's career( connection maybe?), don't require an ID or anything of any sort, with exclusion of porno films, but video games do. People need to stop looking at video games as toys, but rather as a form of entertainment such as comics and movies.

Acutally movies do require ID if you want ot be technical a Theatre is supposed to request ID when someone purchases a ticket to an R or NC-17 rated film..... that is also why most offensive or graphic content is removed when a movie airs on TV Andif you want to be honest, the Law is designed to sheild the gamign industry it does not outlaw the sale of violent games, it simply requires ID be shown to purchase them.... making it the repsonsability fo the individual who purchases the game to watch who is exposed to it..... thsu preventign frivolous lawsuits aimed at gaming companies

Like DVDs, or VHS. I've bought Evil Dead, Army of Darkness and other random movies that are over PG-13 without being asked for an ID(and Evil Dead is even NC-17).

I'm already 17, so I won't have a problem with at as long as I have an ID. I'm just a little mad that they're focusing on video games so much.

I am actually glad Finally they are taking steps to hold the parents repsonsable instead of blamign the game industry now the next time some parent tries to blame video games here in Cali..... the judge can just say "you showed ID when you bougth the game right? well seems you are the one at fault then"

I want to see that movie, but I haven't heard when it comes out. I had thought it was already out, but perhaps I was wrong.
