:::But she wondered why he had asked her the same question three times... she kept her cool though:::

What do you mean, what about Cora?

:::Hiding any hint that Kara is not totally fond of Cora. She's TOTALLY used to putting up this front. If anyone in her society knew that Cora wasn't her absolute favorite human being on the planet, there'd be pandemonium:::

Why... Cora? Well! She's the reason we even exist! We're from her future, and our society was built JUST for her, so that she wouldn't have to endure all the terrible things Omegatropolis forced on her. They say, she lives among us in secret! In disguise, you know? No one really knows what she looks like, the tricky little thing...

:: razz ausing to let that sink in before adding a bit:::

Which! is why, I was so surprised to hear that she's still in this place...when she's supposed to be stayed put in my time.

:::She waves it off:::

I don't know anything about that sort of thing... but really. Imagine that! Actually meeting her! She must come here often enough, right? :::a cunning grin creeping in::: That is... if you've gotten serious with her. How intersting...


:::The heroin and the Captain's son...together? And I thought religion was supposed to be boring:::

Never one to make a truely quiet entrance, Janani fades in, apparently off-balance, behind the bar. She falls backwards, noting the change in scenery. Heaving a sigh, she pulls herself up and looks around the room to see who's here. In a start, she stares at Kara for a few seconds. Never one wanton to hold a grudge, Janani decides not to instigate anything. She does note, however, someone she hasn't met. She tilts her head before ducking behind the bar to find a drink.

Janani sniffs around until she can smell something that should have some taste to it. She comes across one of the stronger liquiors, pulling it out and a glass. She watches Kara and the new guy, neko from what she can tell (right?), as she pours herself a drink. Realizing she should be polite, Janani pulls out two more glasses, just in case. She decides not to interupt the conversation. Anyway, her entrances seem to attract attention anyway... She just doesn't realize it's not the noise so much as her size. Janani forgets that an eight-foot tall woman is unusually tall for humans, used to it being short among her own people

:::Kara on the other hand did not take Janani's entrance as smoothly as Alex had. She makes a grossed out sort of face, looking at Janani... but since Alex decides to just keep talking, perhaps Kara would do her best to ignore her:::

No...it's not a popular name. She's the only Cora I know. And of course she doesn't seem the type. Cora is common, to say the least. She just got lucky by showing up here. And... come on. How many Coras from the Brink of Time are there?

Janani gives the man a smile when he observes her, but she frowns when he doesn't so much as acknowledge her. Isn't that considered rude behaviour? Before she has a chance to shake that off, Kara gives her...that...looks... Janani grimaces... There are too many bad memories associated with that look. What luck, Janani wonders, she has here... She heard so many kind and nice things about Cora, and that woman seems frightened by her very presence. Kora seems to hate her, and this new person shows signs of prejudice too. Sighing, she hopes she's just reading too much into it.



((*raises hand sheepishly* Uh... Has Cora's 'interest' changed? xp I must have missed a bit.))

Well, we can't really ask her, now can we? If you're from her future, she wouldn't know she's.. y'know... anything special.
