Looking back, knowing you gave it your all....

Indeed TonksAsKid, I am going to Germany with my school. There is a total of like, 8 of going so it is not a very big group for we are not a very big school.

Yuudai, thanks for the list of Vampries. A lot of them seemed to show up in the game, were they a part of the game, like a big part?
I too find Vampires very interesting for I "am" one. The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice are our, well you could say "bible" but not really. I haven't read them myself but I am going to steal the copy my friend owns and take it to Germany with me and read it on the plane.

While I am sorta on the subject of a plane, has anyone here ever flown? If so, what did you think about it. I have never flown in my life and it is kinda frighting to think about, especially since it is over seas.

Flying is very daunting. I've flown on Airplanes many times, just in Australia and overseas as well, but still get scared. But only before take off though, the take off is the scariest part, but then after that it is great fun. I love looking out the window at the sea of clouds below, it's breathtaking. It's perfectly natural to be a bit frightened, but I hope you have a great time though ^_^

To TonksAsKid: Don't worry about losing a duel as long as you're having fun! That's what I am intending to do, I have just been so busy with my birthday and the fact that May is the most important month to a Norwegian person due to our National Holiday and confirmations. Again, congratulations for winning the Quidditch cheer competition! biggrin

To gerp and Ghoul:
No problem! I have actually some more information on the vampire race that I found. Link here: Bestiary - Vampires

Don't worry about flying, I have done that several times and once I traveled with plane for an entire night. It was when I visited Damascus. smile Lovely place.

Oh, and I became a fifth year student just now!

Thanks for the feedback on the flying. I am still kinda scared but partially excited. I honestly think that my only problem would be taking off and landing and turbulance. I have also seen a lot of movies that the plane crashes and my friend has told me a whole bunch of horrifying facts just to freak me out. I understand that you are much safer in a plane than you are in a car but it is still scary.

Also, Congratulations on becoming a 5th year!!!

It will be fine. Like you said, planes are actually more safe than cars. My mum has a huge fear from flying and she usually deals with it with music and sitting away from the window, and it seems to be working for her. Perhaps that can help you? smile

And thank you very much! Now I shall work hard to become a sixth year student!

I actually WANT to sit by the window. I have this love of looking out of windows, it somehow calms me down. I am fascinated by heights as long as I am securely in one spot. I do plan on having my music cranked up all the way it will go XD. My friend says that I have to hold her hand because she HATES flying with a passion. I also plan on reading some Harry Potter too.

How does this sounds, I take my favorite HP book with me (#5) and then buy a German #5 and translate it??!?! My friends call me crazy smile

Well, I have to admit, it won't be easy, but I admire your initiative. Good luck!

That sounds fantastic! surprised But it is going to take a while and you probably need to learn the characters' German names to understand it better. Once I get better in German, I may try to read the books. Thanks for the idea and good luck!

Yea, I figured out that part. I can't understand why they can't keep the names the same, the confusion would not be as bad, but that is just me. I think though, I worded my last post wrong. I am going to try and READ it, not translate the whole book. Since I know what is going to happen, it will make it easier to understand.

Its official, my ENTIRE trip is paid for!! YAY!!! (sorry just had to put that out there XD)

You should read the Norwegian names, I personally find them a little childish and unsuitable for the characters they belong to. If I can remember correctly, Snape is called "Slur" in Norwegian and "Slur" is some sort of old Norse word meaning "To hit someone". I have never heard of Snape hitting anyone, so I found that a little odd to be honest. confused I could be wrong though seeing how I haven't read the Norwegian translated versions of the books since I was a child.

Anyway, congratulations! I hope I'm not too rude if I ask, but is it allowed to say words such as "W00t" in this Guild? I am not trying to be cruel, I just want to be careful. Hope you understand. smile

I think that you can say "w00t" on here you just can't use it very much. That might be something to ask LHH about. It wasn't rude, so don't worry about it. Sometimes when I am around my friends, and chatting with them on MSN, I use our little abbreviations and other words like that, so sometimes it slips out onto the keyboard.

That is a weird name for Snape. I really don't see why they have to change the names, but then again it isn't my choice.

I would stay longer to talk but I have to comfort my dog because it is just slightly lightning and thundering and she is shaking uncontrollably from it.

Ah, I see. I'm glad that I didn't offend you in any manner, that would have been awful. smile I don't like the idea of being rude.

Yes, it is. The only character that has kept his original name is Harry Potter somewhat, but his middlename is the same as his father's given name; "Jakob". Yes, that's right. Harry Jakob Potter.

That's okay, we understand. It's much more important that you take care of your dog than being on Gaia. I hope he or she will be alright.

I like that name, Jakob. That is my cousins name!! But, that is also weird for me to say, Harry Jakob Potter.

Okay, so I asked LHH about the whole "w00t" thing (because if I don't know the exact answer to something I have to find out what it is) and she said that she would prefer us not to use anything that. Since we have the ability to go back and edit our posts, she would like to do that for she does not want to see Hufflepuff lose any house points for it.

Also, my dog is fine, she just shakes very rapidly when it comes to storms but the storm was over rather quickly.

I like the name, but it just doesn't suit Harry or James in my opinion. I am glad that you asked LHH about the situation and fixed your reply, really shows how much you care about this Guild and the Hufflepuff House! biggrin

I am glad to hear that your dog is alright.
