After a little while, Kai woke up, blinking a little and snuggling against the blankets. There wasn't much noise, but she remembered vaguely her brief morning. She sat up, attempting to run her fingers through her hair, though giving up when she realized it was still wet and long. She caught sight of Hakaru on the couch and smiled sheepishly. "I didn't push you off, did I?" she asked.

Hakaru looked up from his book and smiled some, shaking his head. "No. I just fell off. Thought you could use the warmth from where I was laying. Your hair's still long."

Kai nodded, slipping out of the bed and looking around. "Well, hope you're okay," she said, though she was pretty sure falling off the bed wasn't the most harmful thing in the world. "Guess that nobody is gonna wake up anytime soon," she said with a shrug, looking around.

"Don't count on Damian getting up any time soon." he said, closing his book and putting it on the table before stretching out on the couch, getting comfortable. He bundled his feet up more and nestled down, wondering what Kai was going to do.

Kai chuckled a little bit, not surprised that the older twin would sleep in. She crossed her arms and shook some hair from her face. "So, um, what are you reading?" she asked, looking towards the book he'd just put on the table.

Hakaru glanced to the book on the table and shrugged. He got up from the couch, going over to the bed, the blanket dragging behind him as he crawled back into his bed with Kai. "You still cold?"

The edge of the mermaid's mouth twitched into a small smile, and she nodded. "A little," she admitted sheepishly.

Hakaru smiled some and wrapped the blanket around Kai and himself, wrapping his arms around her and held her close, sharing his body heat with her. He nuzzled her hair softly, cherishing the feeling of her in his arms.

Kai wrapped her arms around Hakaru's neck, nuzzling against him, too. She was no longer cold as she curled into Hakaru. "Thanks," she said quietly, enjoying the warmth. Resting her cheek against Hakaru's chest, she smiled to herself.

Hakaru smiled some and nuzzled her hair again. His tail swayed happily as he rested with the mermaid he'd now admitted to himself he'd fallen for. After sitting with her for maybe a half hour, he soon got an urge. Yet he checked to see if Kai was awake first.

[OOC:] The 'urge' thing made me giggle, reminding me of the funny jokes in English we made about Edward Cullen... If you're anti-Twilight, they might make you laugh biggrin If you're not anti-Twilight, and are Team Jacob, you'll still find them amusing biggrin Kai watched Hakaru's tail for a little bit, finding the slight movement hypnotic to someone who was a little tired. She wasn't all that tired, though, so she didn't really fall asleep, just rested against Hakaru. When he shifted a little, she looked up at him, blinking slowly.

Hakaru smiled some as she watched his tail before looking to him. He then kissed her again. It was a gentle, very caring kiss and he hoped she was still okay with kissing since last night was just to satisfy his brother's manipulative ways.

Kai was a little surprised, though not unpleasantly so. Since her arms were already around his neck, she tangled her fingers in the loose red hair behind his neck, smiling and closing her eyes. She was glad that Hakaru didn't seem as shy with her anymore, and her heart began to beat faster. [OOC:] Okay, so one of the girls in my class was wearing these glittery earrings. Someone else in our grade called them "Glitter Balls," in the perverted sense. When I heard that, I asked: "So they're Edward Cullen's? They are pretty small..." Someone else commented that at least he had some, and I responded: "Well, not anymore. They've been cut off." It might be a "had-to-be-there" thing, but I think it's kinda funny biggrin

Hakaru gently moved one hand to her hair, playing with it some as he kept the kiss. He looped his other arm around her waist and held her closer to him, his tail swaying faster,

Kai pushed herself closer to Hakaru, but finally pulled back to take a few gasping breaths of air. She smiled as she caught sight of Hakaru's tail, laughing a little. She waited a bit for Hakaru to catch his breath, too, before leaning in and kissing him again.
