That wasn't bad. It sounded pretty cute, actually.
I Sinistro I
The American intro is the best. Even better than the Japanese, I think. The beginning part especially, it really sounds like they're being sucked into a scary new world with no idea what they're getting into. All the other dubs sounds really happy and pop-ish, and don't really match the tone of the show most of the time.
English (There are only like ten words in it, though)
The first three seasons used the same theme, with just the types of digivolution changed, but Season 4 got a new opening. Digimon Frontier was my favorite season >w< (and the theme is pretty good too)

Indeed it is. (Un?)Fortunately, America just uses the Japanese openings for Naruto. It's happening alot more lately, and it's usually the best option xD
Wow the re-dub sounds way better. They should do that with some English anime xD
But those are just new lyrics to put to the Japanese theme. Those are usually good if it's a well-done translation. (But sometimes... they aren't) EXAMPLES (yaaay): Ouran HSHC: Japanese/English [I love the Japanese one. I never skipped it when I was watching the show. I've listened to the English one about five times in my life, including just now. I don't like it]
DNAngel: Japanese/English [Both are super good. The English one is translated in a way that doesn't sound unnatural, and the singer matches the original's pitch and tone really well, in addition to being the VA of the main character]
I feel like the Cardcaptors opening is s**t, but I really love it because nostalgia?? idegaf, I love it. The original Cardcaptor Sakura opening is definitely kawaii as ********, though. Also great. (They changed the English one so much because they wanted to appeal to young boys. The English dub of this show is pretty messed up because of that. They tried to make Syaoran more of a main character than he is and cut the footage up in all kinds of crazy ways to give him a bigger part. But that's another topic altogether)
Oh that's cool. biggrin I don't think there are any anime series currently aired in Finland, besides pokemon and random Ghibli movies etc. on Saturdays. Usually Finnish dub for e.g. pokemon takes after the English dub. But some time ago they used to air some anime in Japanese, like Fullmetal Alchemist. And Digimon was in Japanese after they got bored of dubbing it and just put in subtitles haha. But usually the series are in English, not Japanese, and if it's "kid's show" they'll dub it. - Naruto is only released here on DVD, not shown on tv, Japanese DVD Boxes with Finnish subtitles.

I wish I had known about Japanese anime sooner. But of course, I grew up with the dubs, too. Cardcaptors. Ahhhh, memories...

omg. I never even watched it, just accidentally was flipping through channels and stumbled across it.. but Naruto dubbed is the scariest thing I've ever heard. His voice was equal to nails on a chalk board.
And for as much of a fan as I am, I never saw a Sailor Moon episode that was actually subbed. I always saw the dubbed ones.. which weren't that bad in my opinion. XD I was young though.. so what do I know. I should watch some though.. I always liked the Stars manga.
