Arthur was waiting for Zahara to show up so they could start their little match but instead was greeted by seeing Sevilin and Zahara walk by him and into the arena then they started throwing plates and breaking them with their magic. A small pinch of hurt and some jealousy came over him but he shook it off. So this is what she had to do huh? he sighed lightly and watch them as they played around then fall back into the dirt. He waited though knowing how Sevilin is on entrances at a certain moment but he was also wondering just why Zahara was destroying dishes, this was so not like her. When they finally got out of the dirt Arthur slowly made his way towards them with his hands in his pockets. "Had fun?" he asked with a light smile.

"Humans are far more fickle and they are far less inclined to keep a grudge. especially when they know we have an abundance of food, and they are starving."
A slight grin.
"Other than Tarathiel, most of these human nobles will b eprim and proper, and giving respect at least on the surface. they'll try to get deals and barter services for food. adn they'll be outwardly pleasent while internally they'll hate us."
A hug and a kiss to Piper.
"But we have the advantage. allies in Roarke and Meilikki, as well as abundance of food supplies. which remdins me, we'll send a caravan or somethign to the Purians."

"Only because they have short lives. I'm sure if they were graced with the life spans we have, they would be far less so...and far less squandering with what they had in the first place." Not normal to hear from her to speak ill of humans, but Malik had done well to show her the more vicious and wasteful side of them, just so she wasn't so trusting to them anymore and potientially get herself in trouble. Twenty years of that would help anyone think a little different. Not to mention they had poisioned Malik and that was a count off right there. "So we'll put on the royal facade and give them back what they give us." Though she gave a smile and a little giggle at his affections. Good, meant he wasn't in a horrible homicidle mood. "Indeed we do. We may not have much, but what we do have...it's grand." A little shake of her head though. "No, just sent a few slaves with tinker bags. Caravans are too noticable...someone would jump it at first sight." Oh look, she could be tactical too.

"Perhaps, I don't really know. She mentioned she wanted new ones, I mentioned I wanted to break something, we made an arrangement." She watched him for a moment thinking of somethign to say then chuckled. "I'm so good at welcoming. Maybe I should go destroy something else of his too." Then a glance over at Arthur and she grinned. "Yes actually, though I'm kind of surprised you didn't come join us. You could have had quite a bit of fun. Nevertheless here you are."

A look to Arthur as he decided he had had enough of watching. And Sevilin's demeanor changed yet again...after all, it didn't do well to show people that maybe, just maybe, you had a soft side. Didn't do well at all. "Perhaps." Though that was all he said, going quiet and clasping his hands behind himself and resting them in the small of his back.

Arthur lightly shrugged and smiled at Zahara as he kicked a bit of dirt out of boredom. "Well you guys were having too much fun, besides I bet you needed it more than me Zahara it looks like you've been under a lot of stress lately." Well that was true, it seemed that Zahara had some sort of negative aura hanging over her, there wasn't a lot around her but she seemed to be conflicting over something that Arthur couldn't place his finger on.
Arthur rolled his eyes a little bit at Sevilin. "Hey Sevilin there's nothing wrong with having some fun and letting other people see it. Come on man crack a smile it's good for you." Honestly Arthur could not understand Sevilin; the man was all happy when he was playing with Zahara now he went back to his cold state when he came in. Just what was with this guy?

Zahara walked over and laid a hand on Arthur's arm. "Leave it alone." She nodded to Sevilin, and gave him a brilliant smile. "Thank you for indulging me in my temporary insanity Sevilin. I'm more grateful than you'll ever know." And just like that Sevilin was more or less dismissed. Thus turning back towards Arthur and raised an eyebrow. "Are you ready then? I've warmed up and I can start anytime you wish too." She'd already agreed to fight Arthur, she'd put forth the challenge and it wouldn't look well on her if she backed down. The only question she had was whether they would be using magic or physical weapons.

He frowned a little as Arthur pointed such a thing out. "Smiles are not always marks of fun, you shouldn't be so blind and ignorant to think so. If you see a smile from one such as myself...it would be wise to start praying to whatever god you hold dear that they deliver you to salvation from such a creature as I."
A certain bite in his voice and then a look to Zahara as she more or less told Arthur to not pick and then thanked Sevilin...and dismissed him at the same time. He knew one when he heard one, he'd been hearing them all his life. Was he upset by it? Perhaps...but only his eyes would show that if one were to even catch a glimpse as he turned, addressing them both over his shoulder. "Remember, nothing stupid."
And he would walk off, heading back to the main floor and then to the library where he would plop down on a couch and just...exisist there. He didn't feel the need to read, only sit there. Even as Nym crawled down his arm to his knee and asked for pets with a chitter, though those were duely given to him. Sevilin didn't like feeling this way.

Arthur just watched at Sevilin's reaction, okay he didn't mean his comment to be insulting it may have come out that way but Arthur just wants the man to be a little more relaxed around him that's all. When Sevilin left Arthur shook his head and sighed. "God damn what the hell is wrong with him?" he muttered lightly and sighed a bit before he looked down at Zahara; her hand was on his arm and he nodded. "Fine I will." he said lightly, huh as always Zahara had that little hold over him and it worked again.
"Yeah I'm ready to go Zahara, but yes we should be careful..." he paused for a minute as he tilted his head lightly, his eyes just watching hers for a bit. "I don't want to hurt you if I get too rough." His had a hint of worry in his voice but his gut had the feeling that Zahara will tell him to just let it out; she always shrugged it off like that. Quietly he pulled away and began walking backwards. "Hey I got an idea how bout we make a wager on this fight? If you win you can call me by my eleven name since you seem to like to so much and as for me, if I win..." he paused again to think about what he wanted. "I want a kiss from you, on the lips, just one so how bout it?" he gave her a small wink as he stood there waiting for her answer.

Arthur got a raised eyebrow and the simple truth. "He's drow." Sevilin's words had her stiffening briefly and then she shrugged it off. She'd been through this all in her mind and she'd come to the bridge and now had to cross it. Nothing would happen, she was certain of that and if she had her way, Sevilin would never find out that she'd even fought. He probably had runes down there though that would tell him whatever he needed to know. She ran her fingers briefly through her hair and parted her legs so her battle stance was in evidence. "A wager?" He wanted a kiss on the lips from her? That knowledge pleased her more than seh could ever say, it merely meant she had him squarely in the palm of her hand and that could prove extremely handy. A slight smile floated about her lips and she nodded. "Very well. What shall we use to test our skill Galesen?" Yes, she knew she was going to win.

Arthur rolled his eyes lightly at her simple statement but didn't say anything adn waited for her answer. But really he hoped that nothing would come to pass where he actually injure Zahara, if he did he would not only blame himself but he had a feeling that Sevilin would come down upon him with more pain than he could ever imagine. Slowly he parted his legs and got ready to strike, but quickly he took off his katana and tossed it lightly to the side. He lightly grinned when she agreed to his terms but noticed she already started to call him Galesen. "Hey we haven't even started the fight yet so you could wait to call me by that name." Of course he was kidding, the grin on his face proved that. "We use magic spells of course, weapons should only be used as last resort." Yup this was going to be a fight with magic but it would not hurt to have weapons on stand by just incase.

She just shook her head and kept herself alert. "I could, but I'm not going to." That teasing grin at him before she lightly stepped forward, crossing her feet as she moved. She slid her daggers slowly out of their sheaths, spun them in her hand and raised an eyebrow at him before tossing them onto the pile as well. Her hands were raised to the side of her and she slowly turned her palms up then faced them towards Arthur in a claw like gesture. Sparks crackled between her fingers before a ball of lavender formed in her hand and she shot it straight towards Arthur. "Come on then...Galesen..." Another smirk. "Show me what you got." Oh look, those words sounded familiar didn't they?

Arthur lightly smiled, there was that teasing grin again it always made him smile every time he saw it since it was telling him at least he was pushing the right buttons. But before they could start Arthur watched in silence as Zahara took out her daggers to show them to him before she tossed them where his katana was. At least they knew where they were incase they took that last option, but his eyes never moved as he watched the drow faced her hands towards him in a claw like gesture. He didn't want to laugh and he couldn't as sparks appeared between her fingers and then a ball of lavender was shot straight wards him, Arthur was prepared he had his body placed so that he was leaning forward and his right arm was brought back like he was going to punch the floor. When the ball of lavender came at him Arthur quickly made his fist burst with fire and brought his arm down hard which launched the fire ball towards the projectile coming at him. But using the motion he spined his body around and used his foot that he brought up to launch another fireball before it was placed on the ground with a loud smack.
"Don't worry Zahara I will..." He grinned lightly, it seemed she already start to call him by his elven name but he didn't mind. But he had to act fast and start to run towards her, hoping to close the gap he made between them.

Zahara raised an eyebrow at him for a moment then merely levitated into teh air, hovering there while the fireball pased harmlessly by, slamming into the wall where it was absorbed by th emagical barrier the arena had around it to keep such fights as these from hurting those on the sidelines. She watched her opponent closely then inclined her head. "Come now Galesen, you know you can use other types but flame. Utilize your strengths but as we are merely fighting for fun, practice with your others as well." Thus two bolts of lightning slapped out onto either side of him and crackled heading right for him.

Arthur smiled a little and cursed himself, he hasn't learn how to levitate yet only how to manipulate some winds so far but not enough to fit himself up yet so already he was at a disadvantage. But he watched Zahara as she floated above him and he smiled lightly. "You like that name don't you?" he asked before going on about her remark. "I know we are having fun Zahara but the wager makes me want to finish it quick before you beat me. But don't worry I at least start with flame to see what my opponent will do..." his voice trailed off when he noticed that two blots of lighting started to come at him, but instead of dodging them he created two fo his own to connect with Zahara's and make two long lines of lightning in the sky. Quickly Arthur sprinted away from the area incase Zahara was to over power him and shoot more at him again. After putting enough distance to which he felt he was safe Arthur dug his feet into the ground and looked back up at Zahara with a smile, slowly he stretched his arms outward and then brought them together with a light clap. Right after that the dust and dirt around him started to pick up slowly and form into a small dust tornado in front of him, he then raised his arms above him then pointed straight towards Zahara and the tornado set off on its course to the floating drow.
