He takes such complex ideas and throws them into a state everyone can understand. He doesn't distance himself like others who talk about "The beauty of the world", in fact he's not talking specifically about it. Natural Beauty is just a conclusion he finds while writing in his diary. Babycakes makes his own world, but it feels familiar to us because it's constructed from the components of ours. For BC, there's no reason why there shouldn't be Polycorns if there are Unicorns, or why Braintree can't be more than a place in Massachusetts. His world feels real because we can see when he's been sidetracked by things like wizard turds and Chi. He's not an automatic wisdom dispenser but a genuinely unique perspective, so we listen carefully when he agrees with our deepest selves. "s**t matters. Even if we can't figure it out. Even if we are ruled by devils. Even if my days don't mean anything. I just hope that I die while hugging, and not while in a wine drinking contest." People these days fail to stop and look at life because we're too busy making money so we can continue to live.
