He gave somewhat of a smirk then watched as two were thrown up. Hm, let's play a little shall we? A hand rested on the hilt of his dagger at his hip and he merely watched both go up and them fall down, the plate going higher but falling faster than the bowl, and he waited until his eyes saw both about to line up in thier falling and he whipped out his dagger, throwing it and sending it spinning end over end to strike through and break both before embedding rather high up in the opposing wall. Eh, he could get it back easily.
To Zahara, a rather cocky look was given to her, though he probably didn't know he was doing it. After all, Sevilin wasn't one to show off, seeing as he usually got a beat down for it. Yet subconciously he knew it okay to do in front of her. "You have to do better than that."
But in due fashion, two dishes were picked up an both flung across the area and up at the same time so she'd have to do a little chasing to catch them before they hit the wall.

So he was changing the game a bit, was he? Fine. She watched him chuckling though she couldn't resist saying, "Show off." He threw them harder than she did, harder than the imps had and because of it she had to focus on their descent closely and try to figure out the best way to catch them both in enough time. Forming two icicles in her hand she threw them javelin style at the sailing dishes and grinned as the sharp edges sliced through the dishes easily, the pieces falling before the pikes continued, then hit the wall and shattered. It had become a competition. How lovely. "Ha! Ready for round three?" Sure enough she had two plates and a bowl ready to go and she tossed the plates together like spinning discs straight toward the wall then added the bowl, copying his style from earlier and throwing it straight up into the air. "Show me what you got."

"Am not." He merely chuckled from her and then held out both of his hands and they made a particular motion with each, a rope rune lit up on each dish and then he yanked his arms in, crossing them in frotn of himself. Result? The three dishes were yanked back out of thier path and pulled to collide together to create dish confetti on the floor. That got a chuckle. "Need to see more?"

Her mouth dropped open as with a quick flick he shattered all three of those dishes. Clearly, she'd been beat. He could do that with however many dishes were thrown into the air and she narrowed her eyes at him. A conspiratorial gleam lit in her eyes and she shook her head, still grinning. "Runes?! Oh that's cheating!" Thus she pushed off the ground with her boots and leapt at him intending to take him down though she was still just messing with him. "You can take all of these dishes out at once with runes you cheater!" Her voice was light and laughter could be clearly heard in the tones as she slammed into him and took them both down to the ground, her body stretched out on top of him in the dirt.

He closed his eyes, chuckling at her accusation. "Cheating? It's hardly cheating...runes are just a method of my person an-" Never finishing his sentence as a weight slammed into him and actually put him off his balance. Eyes snapping open he turned slightly toward her, hands coming up to lay to her sides to more or less catch her, but that didn't pan out well either as he hit the dirt with a thud on his back, her on top of him and blinking as dirt rose and settled around them. "Now that was uncalled for."

Coughing slightly at the dirt, she braced her hands on his shoulders and studied him for a moment. She gave him a mischevious grin and shrugged, "Maybe. But it made me feel better thus it's purpose was served." She should probably push up off of him and let him get up or even help him up...eh in a minute. She was just fine right where she was right now. If he wanted her off he could easily take care of that himself, now couldn't he?

He laid there in the dirt, dropping his hands from her and tapping his fingers in the dirt. Okay...now what? "You shouldn't be rough housing too much...might break something. Then again I'm sure you're used to that, being as wild as you are." Hm...dirt...he was going to have to take a bath now...at least wash his hair. The bane of having bone white hair. "Do tell me, were you this energetic on Andal...bet the Crest Brigade had much to say on that."
A little uncomfortable as he laid there...not quite enjoying the sight of a woman above him like that, as well as all too familiar weight. So idle conversation was trying to ease him. Couldn't throw her off or upset her.

She shook her head, "To tell you the truth, the first month I spent in bed almost every day. I either couldn't keep a meal down to save my life or I couldn't take a step without sneezing, coughing and choking." She rolled off of him and laid there for a moment resting in the dirt. After a moment, she pushed herself to a sitting position and glanced back down at him. "The Brigade was too busy scowling at Malik the whole time. I was a good girl and stayed out of sight when they were around." She didn't miss the slight change in attitude but chose to ignore it as she stood up then leaned down and held out a hand to help him up. Silence reigned between them and she dind't quite know what to say. That had probably been a rather stupid move on her part...

He chuckled. "Yes, that's pretty much the way it goes...the air is thick and full of various things floating around in it. The seeds and pollen and other things that I'd rather not think about. Odd smells, always changing from the breeze." He shook his head lightly.
Though then she rolled off of him and he dare thought he relaxed a little. "Hm, I wouldn't doubt Malik drawing their attention. It probably wasn't pleasant either." Though he sat up as she got up and then blinked a moment at her hand as it was held out. But he took it, getting himself up and taking to brushing the dirt off of himself. "Well, you survived."

And just like that he was back to the carefree way he'd displayed a little earlier when they'd been breaking plates. "Spring was horrible. We arrived in Winter and I thought I was going to die but then Spring came and it started all over again ten times worse." She brushed the dirt off her own person and leaned down picking up the one lone plate and bowl sitting there, tossing them at the wall with a satisfying crash. "There. Now Piper gets a brand new full set." She shook her head to shake out any dirt that might be lingering in her hair, then ran her fingers through it lightly before glancing over at Sevilin. "Yes, yes I did." Taking a deep breath she glanced at the arena with all the little fragments of china scattered about the floor. "Malik's going to be fit to be tied." she said with a giggle.

A look around, kicking a few fragments before he brushed at his hair and then a side glance to his braid, which now had a ferret attached to it who was using it as climbing material, but his attention turned back to Zahara. "Spring was much more tolerable at night." Then again that's what he assumed, seeing as he had never reacted so badly.
A raised eyebrow. "Was that what this was all about? Getting her new dishes?" Sevilin shrugged lightly "He probably is...but he hasn't had any chaos in the house lately, so it will do him some good. Almost like a welcome home."

"Alright then, keep taking it. But he have other things to deal with, getting everything up to par again and what not. and of course arranging for safe travel for Meilikki."
Picking up a pile of papers sitting on a desk and looking over it.
"Damn those foul smelling little rotten Rallos spawned bastards."
slamming the stack down. before looking over at a mental cue, then turning an accusing look to Piper.
"She's shattering all the china. and Iwonder who put that idea in her head."

She merely blinked at him at his little mood shift and look before giving a light smile and shaking her head, getting up off the bed and walking over to him, lacing her arms around his waist from behind and pressing against his back her cheek against his shoulder. "Come now, it's only a few dishes. Easy to replace and no need to get in a foul mood over anything." Though she did giggle. "I admit to being guilty A'mael...I gave her the idea. But honestly, I'd rather have her breaking dishes for her stress relief than doing something stupid and hurting herself. You'd let me break dishes if I needed to, wouldn't you?"

His hands went to hers aroudn her waist and just held them there for a moment.
"I suppose so. but that china was from Neriak. it's not so easy to replace since we're on another plane. and Zahara is not you."
A slight frown.
"Apparently the food shortages hit the orc population as well. most if not all our outside contacts are gone, sacked by orcish invaders. which means establishing new ties. which means we'll have to go to that party thing if for no other reason then to get some contacts."

"Not unless you go on a trip to go get some more from there. But here's a nice thing to hear...I had Keely put some of it away so there's still some left over that wasn't ransaked by anyone. Better?" What? Like she was honestly going to let every single piece get turned to debris? She was smarter than that. Though she frowned as well, ducking under his arm to his side, but still keeping one arm around him. "Really? Well that only makes this all the more suspicious...I thought no one liked us. You think they would work to exclude us and hope we die off. Still doesn't explain why we're invited beyond even that...we're nothing to these people in this plane..." Hm...tension filled fancy meeting of several people of several places. Oh joy, it would be just like Council.
