Hakaru stirred some at all the noises of someone moving around so much in the morning. He was soon awake after Kai had made it outside. The fox noticed she was gone and he got up, changing into some warm clothes before going after her.

Kai pulled her legs up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them and resting her chin on her knees. A white-capped wave crashed against the waves below, and she could see a shark out in the distance, its fin just barely pushing through the water. A gust of wind pushed her lank hair in her face, and she pushed the strands back behind her ears. She could smell the salt off the water, but not a single splash seemed to reach her.

The fox prince followed Kai's scent back to the cliffs. He used his demonic abilities to silently jump up the cliffs to the platform where she was sitting. "Kai? Everything alright?"

Kai looked up as Hakaru came up to the cliff, and she shrugged. "Yep," she responded, smiling a little. She looked back out at the ocean and watched as the shark disappeared under the water. She mentally decided that next time someone suggested this, she would just pretend she had work to do, or maybe get in trouble so she wouldn't be allowed to go.

Hakaru's ears flattened some. He didn't think she was alright which made him sad. Maybe it was something he did? He didn't know. "Alright. I guess I'll see you at the cabin then..." he said, starting to climb down. On his way down, he realized he wasn't wearing shoes since one of his feet got cut open, making him wince. But he continued down and went back to the cabin.

Kai turned and watched Hakaru walk away. She sighed, knowing she should probably stop him, but decided against it. She stood up, staring down at the water for a moment before she dove off the cliff for the second time that trip. The water was comfortably cold for her, though it would probably be freezing for a regular human. She kept swimming down until she found a reef, and rested the fins of her tail against it, staring around. Everything was clear to her, and the fish didn't seem to mind her there. However, it only took a few minutes before the shark from earlier swam towards her, a grim expression on his face. You are Kai Nalu, from the Nalu Clan I presume? Kai just nodded. You were reported swimming near here yesterday. You were excused, since motives proved to be the saving of a drowning boy. However, as you should well know, your clan is banished indefinitely from the Ocean. If you should be found here again, you will be taken into custody. Before Kai could open her mouth to speak, a great swell of water propelled her to the surface and dumped her on the beach, before receding back, leaving her looking like a drowned rat. Since she was sopping wet now, her tail wouldn't shrink back into legs, so she pulled it up and sat like she had on the rock cliff, her hair sticking to her back all the way down to her waist.

Hakaru had made it back to the cabin, limp and all before Kai was returned to land. He took care of his foot, washing all the sand off and bandaging it up before crawling back into bed and curling up under the covers. He took the pillow under the blanket as well, hugging it as he went drifted into his normal uneasy sleep.

It took a little bit, but finally Kai was dry enough to return to human form, and she stood up, wobbly, brushing sand off her clothes. She put her hands in her pockets and went back up to the cabin, walking in quietly and looking over at Hakaru. She smiled a little at him, then walked over and sat on the edge of his bed, watching him sleep.

Hakaru just slept quietly in his bed, one ear lazily turning to hear the springs on the end of the bed slightly, but turned back and flopped back down as the fox continued to sleep, holding his pillow.

Kai watched Hakaru's ear with mild fascination, and couldn't help but lean down and brush her finger tips over the soft fur there. She leaned down on her stomach, crossing her arms on the bed and resting her chin on them to look over at Hakaru as he slept. After a rather depressing start to the morning, watching him sleep helped her cheer up a bit.

Hakaru stirred some when Kai felt his soft, velvety ear, it twitching against her fingers before she laid down. The fox calmed back down and resumed his undisturbed sleep, burying his face into his pillow more.

[OOC:] Is he ever gonna wake up? Lol. Watching Hakaru sleep made the mermaid equally sleepy, and since nobody else from any of the cabins had stirred yet, she closed her eyes, letting the mixed sound of the familiar waves and Hakaru's soft breathing lull her to sleep. Her hair, still being damp from her dip in the sea, stretched out along her back to her waist, its bright red dulled a bit. A few strands fell down her side, mingling with Hakaru's own bright crimson braid. [OOC:] I need to find a picture for her...

[OOC:] Well he's kind of moping... It's a moping sleep!
After a while, the fox stirred some, rolling over a few times and off the bed, hitting the floor with a loud thump and a slight yelp. He untangled himself from the covers, looking to his foot. The young prince got up and replaced the bandages on his foot before stretching some.

Kai didn't feel anything when Hakaru got up, burying her face into her own hair. However, she did miss the slight heat that had radiated from Hakaru as he slept, and she curled up, sighing in her sleep. [OOC:] Now it's her turn to sleep endlessly! Muahahahaha!!!!

Hakaru watched Kai and he laid the covers over her, gently tucking the pillow he had been hugging under her head. He moved over to the couch, grabbing an extra blanket. The young prince curled up in the blanket, laying down on the couch, hiding his injured foot from his cabin mates.
