She studied his hand with her eyes and nodded, wasn't about to touch him, that might be bad. She pet Nym one last time and set him on the ground so he could jump up on Sevilin or her if he wanted. Glancing around for a moment she finally settled herself on the ground, tucking her legs beneath herself so her skirt lay correctly and leaning back on her palms. "It feels so weird not seeing the sun, or clouds in the sky. And all this darkness...it's odd." After all, having seen the glistening orb for months, she'd gotten kind of used to it. "But this is home, I suppose." Making idle conversation now? She really was a coward. Blowing out her breath in a huff she shook her head, "Okay, I'm sorry Sevilin. I didn't mean to yell at you...I just...I don't know why I did it. You didn't do anything to me and just because I'm uncertain around you doesn't give me the right to be mean." There she'd said it...maybe a little too much. Her eyes quickly dropped to her lap and suddenly her pregnant tummy became highly interesting.

He sat down on a nearby rock, watching her now as she sat herself down. "Sounds like you miss it...and that this may not be a home for you." He was only saying what he was hearing from in her tone and what not...her little bodily cues. Though he looked highly perplexed as she started into an apology to him. She didn't need to apologize.
Thus she got an evasive look from him. "You don't have to apologize...I understand." And it was simple as that wasn't it? He simply exucsed her of any wrongs that she had done against him...then again he was used to doing it. "No need to feel any different around me...I'm no threat to you."

She glanced at him sharply, that hadn't been what she was expecting to hear. He must be hearing longing or something like that in her tone. "I'll admit I will miss the light and laughter of Andal but Layrinth is my home and always will be. I was born here...this is...my plane." Her fingers sifted their way into the hard dirt and she stared at the lake. "Down here is where I belong." She was certain of that now though she'd wondered a bit beforehand. Andal had been a possible home but she'd decided Labyrinth was right for her. "I'll visit Andal every once in a while still though. They have fantastic shopping." He wasn't looking at her...why not? "I may not have to but I feel like I should." A shake of her head, "My emotions are just all over the place. One minute I'm okay, the next I'm thrilled and the next I'm biting heads off. I can't control it and it happens with no warning whatsoever..."

He didn't care to follow her up on her talk of Andal and homes and belonging. he didn't want to her or speak of things that he himself knew nothing of. Such things he never thought of...he merely existed most of the time. Therefore he bypassed it and merely picked up on thier other topic of speech.
Sevilin took to pushing around some loose rocks with his boot where he sat, taking a moment to watch Nym start to stalk an oversided bug which he would no doubt eat. But his attention turned back to Zahara, side glancing her form as she sat there. "They're allowed to be...you're with child. And you'll get mad, and you'll say things you don't mean, and you'll hurt feelings and feel guilty...but you won't mean it half of the time. Anyone with sense will know that and can forgive you for it. I do after all."

She smiled sadly, "Like now." Sighing softly she glanced back out over the water and shook her head, "Why Sevilin? Why do you understand so well when you've never been like this yourself? Why do you excuse me when you used to get so defensive?" She bit her lip for a moment realizing that probably wasn't the best way to explain what she was feeling. Why were thoughts so difficult to put into words? She searched for the right term to describe it but none came and she was left with the muddle she'd made. "I don't mean to say that it was bad...it's just different." Her gaze went to Nym as well and she sighed again, "I scared him earlier. Threw a book at the wall and he retreated under the couch."

"I know how women work, not how they think and I don't pretend to know or fathom what they indeed do. I just know what happens to your body...how things change as time goes...how you can't control things. How am I to blame you for that...when in essence it is my very fault that you are like you are?" A small shake of his head, turning his eyes to watch the dirt once more. "I'm...inclined to look out for you. Not obligated, but inclined."
Then he looked back to Nym one more as he fingers had taken to playing with themselves in fidgety habit that he often had, never being able to keep his hands still. "He told me...but I explained to him that you would never make a purse out of him...you carry too much and he's too little." Almost a smile. "He forgives you too..." But he looked back to her then. "You shouldn't be sitting in the dirt like that..."

She watched him closely as some alien feeling rushed through her. "In our situation it isn't really your fault...after all if it had been up to you, the circumstances would never have happened and I wouldn't be the way I am now." That was a semi-sore point with her seeing as how he hadn't wanted to sleep with her and had been "forced," though not by her directly. She swallowed not really sure what to say then finally settled for simple gratitude. "Thank you...I'd hate to be an obligation to you. I'd hate to be an obligation to anyone for that matter." Of course she knew he only felt inclined becuase of his interest in the situation. The child she was carrying was promised to him, therefore if he kept her safe and comfortable, his child would be happy too. Easy trade off. She watched Nym as he finally pounced on the bug and shook her head, "That's true, he wouldn't make a decent sized bag at all, maybe a strap for one..." Although a raise of an eyebrow as she tilted her head. "Going to give up your rock for me? Or should I just go back inside so nothing can get me?" She'd let him be protective if he wanted, it was his after all...and it felt kind of nice even though it was only becuase of the elf inside her he cared.

"You cannot argue that fact too much. After all...I...I gave in. I'm not proud of myself for being so reckless...and I cannot seem to want to hate what happened. If anything my mind tries to tell me to appreciate the...experience. After all...it was probably a first and last one of that kind." Yes, the kind where...it actually felt good and he wasn't just being bed toy or breeding fodder. Hell...he was admitting things again. And he was sure she didn't want to hear about his sad little life, especially that aspect of it.
Which lead to his eyes darting from her and then to a few other places, seeking for something to focus on. Though then he caught her last sentence and practically jumped up, but settled easily and walked closer to her, offering her his hand. "Sorry...I'll try not to nit pick too much..."

He what? She blinked at him for a long time, unsure of exactly what to say to that. She'd been under the impression he not only hated what had happened but hated her for being the one with him. Either he'd thought quite a bit during her time in Andal or he'd suddenly had an epiphany in the last few minutes. "I know I did. There were a lot of impressions I was under that were completely wrong and you proved them wrong once and for all. I'll always be grateful for that." He didn't sound too thrilled to be admitting things and she knew better than to push. He'd had his moment of weakness if she remembered correctly and it had been quite a moment indeed. "I didn't mean it like that Sevilin...just teasing you I guess..." she flushed at that though her skin hid any trace of it. Glancing up at him, she moved her hands, brushing them off then laid her palm in his and let him lift her up. Busying herself brushing off the back of her skirt, she turned, "Did I miss any spots?" Glancing back at him over her shoulder.

He shrugged lightly. "You're welcome...I guess..." He wasn't sure how to deal with this, nor aware that his guards were probably down a bit and it probably showed through some. He was feeling out of sorts ever since she left and then it had lulled...and had come back when she did. Though he forced somewhat of a smile or maybe a smirk...something like that at her follow up. "It's alright...I have my...issues..." Quirks really, but he classified them as issues.
But she had to go do something like that didn't she? Make him stare a moment and wheels turn. "No...you got it all..." Eyes giving her a once over where she stood. Hm...lighter colors looked good on her. Quite a change from what his eyes were used to seeing. But he shook his head and laid a hand to her shoulder, turning her a little to the direction of where he had been sitting.

She watched him closely, remembering a few of the things that he'd alluded to during that night that they had both shared. She knew very well that they'd probably both only revealed the tip of the iceberg that symbolized their lives. She'd had a lot of time to think while she was in Andal as well, time to consider the things he'd said both willingly and not quite so. And she'd come to her own conclusions. "We all do." She didn't flinch like she normally did when a male hand touched her. She just moved closer to the shelter of his body, completely by accident...or so she told herself and let him push her where he wished. "Why can't I sit in the dirt?" she asked heading towards the rock like she was supposed to.

"It's the dirt...do you honestly want to sit in it?" Honestly he didn't know why he didn't want her in the dirt...maybe it was his obsessive compulsive need to keep things clean. Or it could of been the prescense of underdark flowers around the lake, mostly dead or on thier way to dying by this point. Made him uncomfortable in a way somehow. But he let her sit and then...pretty much stood there stupidy in realization that he now didn't know what to do with his own person. "Good thing you're back...it's quiet without you around." What now?

"Doesn't bother me in the least, but if you want me on the rock, I"ll stay on the rock." She sat down though it wasn't a very flat rock and she had a sharp edge cutting into her leg. Why did he like this? "Quiet? But you had Arthur here, I would think he would make enough noise to more than make up for my absence. Besides, you didn't have anyone to yank out of bed by their ankles and no reason to get up dark and early." She grinned then, "Though I'll admit I did get up dark and early thinking about lessons quite a few times before I caught myself." Her eyes began scanning the ground, where was Nym anyway?

"Arthur has been too busy improving his sexual confidence and then delving into his own magic studies. Besides...we can't hold a civil conversation for too long and you know me...I'd rather avoid the fight." Passive as ever Sevilin.
Sevilin grinned lightly as she had for whatever reason. "That didn't stop me from getting up dark and early either, nor going to your room to yank you out that first day. I'm a creature of habit, and stubbornly so I suppose." Shifting his weight to one leg and crossing his arms lightly over his chest, sideglancing as his ears twitched lightly to little familiar crunching noises.

A major difference between them really. He avoided it at all costs, she gloried in it and often stirred things up just for that purpose. Though she'd noticed that her anger left a lot faster than his and when he got that fed up, he became unpredictable. She'd seen the rage burning in his blood red eyes, his fists clench and knew in those moments he could easily kill another elf and not even blink. Shuddering at the direction her thoughts had taken she turned her gaze back to his, relieved that his eyes were calm now and still highly expressive. Her lips twitched, "You're stubborn alright, I'll definitely give you that." A shake of her head and she tilted her head. "Aww come on Sevilin, just admit that you missed me." Teasing again of course. And then it came time for a revealing statement, a chance she was taking that could turn out bad or good. Those rubies could harden and glitter or they could sparkle and shine, his choice really. "I missed you..."
