:::But then Cora's attention was drawn by what it was Maggie had her attention on:::
Janani - OOooh... Hello there. I haven't seen you in a while.
:::Normally Cora would be gaping, still not quite used to such a large person, but it didn't appear to jostle her as much at the moment. She was even still smiling ever so slightly:::

Hearing her voice, Janani acknowledges the two to a...relatively limited extent. She yawns, once more, as her eyes flutter. Two figures come into her vision, and she recognizes neither to be from where she previously was... With a start, her eyes finally open fully as she nearly gapes at the two.
The...Brink...? The Brink! Oh! Hi!
Janani waves at Cora and Maggie exitedly with a broad smile encompassing her whole face.
It's been...weeks... I guess that's my perspective though... How's it been?

Good to hear!
The smile and warm expression not once depart from her face. Still. Cora is of few words...as usual. Janani's beginning to wonder if the woman is frightened. Afterall, it's not like she can 'hide' herself in a smaller, 'normal' human form in this place. It almost takes the smile from her face, but she'd rather be happy and hope to garner trust later.
I've been fine. Been kinda boring, but being home is nice.

:::She turned to Maggie, but made sure to look at Janani as well when speaking. It would do the people in the Brink well to know this...it seemed that Cora was a fixed part of it:::
The Captain has informed me that I live here now. The Brink is my home. I haven't been back to my own time in half a year now.
:::She wasn't really smiling anymore, seeing as how this was somewhat serious, but she said it rather casually, as though it didn't weigh too heavily on her. It almost sounded like interesting gossip the others should know:::

*Maggie starts to turn toward the clicking noise, but then her attention is drawn back by Cora's announcement* Ye. . . dinna go home any longer? *she echoes, stunned* How can that be?

Captain?
Janani closes herself into careful thought as her right hand's forefinger and thumb go to her chin. She's drawn from concentration, however, as she notes a small, spherical object. If it weren't for the shimmer of it's metalic skin (correct?), Janani mightn't have noticed it at all. She looks at it, not recognizing it. She bends down, which is quite the change considering the woman's stature.
This is...interes... Wait!
Janani quickly stands and looks to Cora.
This 'Captain' never seems to be around... At least...I haven't seen him yet. I've heard of him... Tarnis? Anyway... What's he like?
(( whee Attention span of a gnat, anyone?))

He's very nice, I'm sure you'll run into him eventually.

You know, he explained it, but I'm not sure I understand it all myself. He mentioned that it was a preventative measure...that I surely would have become something terrible, or even would have been killed if I stayed in my time anymore. I can see why he'd have that idea though. I feared that sort of thing myself, for so long.
So! He's barred me from returning. Not that I'm sure I have anywhere to return TO. He mentioned that it doesn't quite exist anymore...

*Maggie frowns, both confused and a little troubled by what she's hearing. She remembers . . . a different Cora. Was that a dream? Or wasn't it? SHe shakes her head to try and clear her thoughts* I suppose . . . if 'tis safer for ye here, then perhaps tis for the best . . . .

Janani smiles broadly before her attention is attracted elsewhere. Her pupils dart to the small metalic sphere as it makes its way across the bar. Her head tilts, curiously, before she follows it...almost crouching (seriously ninja how big is x12?).
