It's fresh blood. The local bugs are tired of us and want something new and exotic to try out. I mean, hell. Back home, the bugs won't bloody well touch me...I pity him if he ever wanders that way, though.

n****e piercings dont hurt - I had mine REpierced through SCAR tissue. Didnt even whimper, at MOST it was a teeth dryer.
*shrugs*
Ofc, some sources will tell you I just dont feel pain....
