Then pistol whip them. I think gun can easily be used in melee too.
But I'm not a big fan of weapons, anyways. THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T ADD YOU ON MY FAVS LIST, DESI.
If anything, I like small, concealable weapons.

I am hoping to change that in some way, eventually, Kat. Between both Tenkai and my new character.
I wouldn't exactly call myself Japan obsessed. :/ Though I am a fan of many Japanese things, just like you'd have someone obsessed with European things.
And I told you, Fox, he probably -didn't- mispronounce it. It only sounded like it, and it felt weird to me because the guy was Japanese. :/

Sins of an Angel It just so happens that Katanas are popular for those who don't know what they're doing. What's funny is that this is exactly why Rage uses katanas these days, more or less. Since he just kind of makes it up as he goes, and has never had any real, formal training with the weapon, he sees it more as a tool as anything else. Also, according to Japan, katana metal is the hardest metal known the man. Also, though I don't have a huge interest in swords in real life, I tend to lean towards one-handed swords of any type in most games... except maybe rapiers. I need something that can cut when I swing it, not poke incessantly.

I doubt japan uses L6 bainite.

It isn't really the metal, so much the technique used to take what is essentially an impure and inferior material and make something great out of it. It's taking lemons and making lemonade.

They're everywhere Fox, but I only met one person who was like that personally and I first got to know her cause she saw me browsing Gaia on my laptop at school once and approached me - she was also wearing a Coco kitty tshirt but lets not go there.
So she got all excited and told me her username was vampireneko666 or something like that. I cringed, and politely excused myself.
Later on I looked her up and sure enough, she was a crazy one. D:
Anyway, I run into them all the time in the art shops, and pretty much anywhere on Gaia.

Kraun L6 Bainite tool steel. s**t is a MONSTER. I doubt japan uses L6 bainite. Might not, but I figure if it's the kind of steel you can make a weapon out of, you can make a katana out of it.

Tenkai Matsumoto :/ When have they said that? Well, it's not expressly said, but my logic goes as such. Anime character cuts gun / sword / really big sword / robot / spaceship in half with a katana. People see that and immediately decide they want to do the same thing. They incorporate it into their RP character. Their character can now cut a gun / sword / really big sword / robot / spaceship in half with a katana. ... I think you're reading too much into what I'm saying. sweatdrop

Because their swords are made of diamonds. Its SO HARD. But then it shatters, because having a HRC rating so high for HARDEST s**t also makes it RETARDEDLY BRITTLE.
